00:04Have you ever heard of the show Invincible?

00:06It's based on a comic, but it's a superhero series that revolves

00:08around the superhero Invincible, the son of

00:10Omni-Man, who is literally the most powerful person on

00:12the planet. A lot of people really like it, and that picture

00:14of thicc Omni-Man has been scarred into my

00:16consciousness. I see it when I close my eyes

00:18at night.

00:20Well, the third season of the show, the latest, has spawned many

00:22memes, and it's my job to cover them, even if my

00:24knowledge of superheroes purely stems from

00:26a few memes I see on my timeline. For me,

00:28superheroes are some sort of mixture of Fortnite Thanos

00:30skin and Omni-Man cheeks.

00:32Spoilers for the new season ahead, by the way, if you care about that.

00:34Let's get to it. Well, firstly, there's been a lot

00:36of Conquest memes in general. This old

00:38superhero is a meme machine, and mostly

00:40it stems from his memeable one-liners.

00:42One of the biggest ones has been,

00:43I AM A VICTIM OF MY OWN SUCCESS.

00:45Conquest utters this in the final episode of the season,

00:47but users would quickly share it around, making horrible

00:49nonsensical caption memes, like, when you dig

00:51too deep for that crusty booger blocking your nose

00:53and finally get it. Can't say I relate with that one,

00:55genuinely. I think maybe the superhero meme

00:57community is too far gone. Some users would

00:59use this line and get a little more creative, though.

01:23after a rainstorm on a warm April day.

01:25This ridiculous and silly out of context would get heavily

01:27memed, even from the comic version. My favorite

01:29being this thousand-yard stare soldier edit.

01:31Some people would just photoshop his comic pose

01:33into real-life scenarios. Bro, who is that?

01:35I'd be terrified if I saw this. What would you even do?

01:37You can't really, like, call the cops for a superhero.

01:39What are they gonna do? They're too busy guarding the Tesla

01:41dealerships right now. Once the scene came out on Amazon

01:43Prime in episode 7, people would start posting

01:45that clip like crazy, because honestly, I think

01:47we all wished we sounded that cool when speaking.

01:49I'm gonna start calling people worms, but in a positive way.

01:51In episode 5, there was a scene where

01:53the target Invincible, an evil variant of the protagonist

01:55Invincible, destroys Buckingham Palace

01:57in the UK. As he fights a lone superhero,

01:59he lets out the iconic line. Pathetic! I wouldn't

02:01even keep you as a slave in my empire!

02:03Which is just a crazy thing to say in general. Unlike the

02:05worm line, I think you probably shouldn't be throwing this one around

02:07in any sort of conversation. No amount of, uh, slash

02:09light-hearted can save you here. This clip would go super

02:11viral on TikTok, amassing millions of views,

02:13and before long, memes referencing the scene would become

02:15very popular on TikTok and Twitter. People would simply

02:17add the clips into conversations, like this one by

02:19Orb Ismala. Some people would even redraw the scene,

02:21like this cool Ben 10 redraw from

02:23Doki Robo. And of course, there's a green screen version

02:25if you want to make an edit for some reason. The internet's quick

02:27with these things now. When episode 7 released,

02:29the concept of Invincible and allied characters fighting

02:31alternate reality versions of themselves gave a lot

02:33of inspiration to the fandom. Everyone wanted

02:35to make alternate reality superheroes. Some people

02:37would Powerpuff Girlify the characters, and

02:39my personal favorite, Whatsapp version. You can hear

02:41that ringtone. So many

02:43of these came out, from Spongebob to Discord to

02:45a freaking carrot. There was no end. This was

02:47the true superhero multiverse. As much

02:49as I am ignorant to superheroes and these fandoms,

02:51even a quick cursory glance shows that this

02:53fandom memes business. These memes are pretty

02:55fun. It makes us feel powerful. It makes us feel

02:57invincible. Okay, um, that was really

02:59corny. Um. Invincible corn!

03:01That's... that's good.
