00:11The MMDA's solution is to change the traffic schemes in the area.

00:23Aside from the local traffic enforcers,

00:25the MMDA is also helping the Chino Roses Extension in Makati.

00:32Once again, the MMDA is experiencing a slowdown in the traffic flow.

00:37In particular, every time a student returns to the area,

00:41which is being watched by the illegal parking of several passenger jeeps.

00:49where you can see that the driver of the jeep is eating.

00:55According to MMDA Special Operations Group Chief Gabriel Go,

00:59the MMDA is helping a barangay that is part of the Chino Roses Extension

01:03and there are several talks that can be made to change the traffic schemes in the area.

01:10Such as when a school is coming out,

01:13no one will turn left considering that it is a solid line.

01:17Because that's one of the causes of traffic congestion also.

01:20The vehicles are waiting to follow the children.

01:24Another way they see is to limit U-turns in the area.

01:30Instead of moving forward towards Taguig or moving towards Edsa,

01:34what they do is they just take a U-turn anywhere they want.

01:37So that's one of the problems.

01:39One of the solutions that we are looking into is to close the entire Chino Roses Extension

01:45so that there will no longer be an open area to take a U-turn.

01:48And because it is said that it is often a problem for people to park their vehicles

01:53to eat in the food stalls in the area.

01:56We cannot restrict our fellow countrymen to look for food.

02:01So I think this is one of the steps that we have to look into

02:04on how we can provide probably a temporary parking

02:08where the drivers can eat

02:10or maybe we can provide a place where the food stalls can sell

02:17so that they will not be affected by the traffic to the motorists.

02:21But to clarify, they are still studying this thoroughly.

02:26We still have to study it.

02:28We still have to consult also the local traffic bureau

02:30on what will be their feedback.
