00:00Rioja has reopened its doors this time in the city centre and we went down to
00:05check it out. The Spanish themed bar and restaurant now sits at the corner of
00:09Bothwell Street and Hope Street just across from Central Station. It spans over
00:14three floors. There's a games floor in the basement with foosball and pool
00:18tables. Sports screenings will also be shown down here. There's a dining area
00:22with a full menu of tapas style dishes made to accompany the extensive cocktail
00:27list. And there's a very vibrant late-night bar area which hosts live
00:31DJs. The previous West End venue which closed in 2023 was a really popular part
00:37of Glasgow's nightlife and this place is aiming to retain that same energy. And
00:42there's a real buzz about it. It has a great lively atmosphere, a good place to
00:47come for socializing especially larger groups. So we were there for a Spanish
00:52supper club. Some of the dishes we tried out included the crispy chicken doughnut,
00:57fried egg and chips, chicken paella, chorizo tacos and black pudding parcels.
01:02The menu was inspired by street food stalls from food markets in Madrid. The
01:08drinks menu also features lots of bright colors and flavors. So this return has
01:13been highly anticipated. It first opened in Finistin in 2013 and was there for a
01:18decade before it closed. The owners have described its comeback as a bold new era
01:23for the brand that shares the same passion for great food, great drinks and
01:28unforgettable nights. To celebrate the opening a range of events are set to
01:32take place so keep your eyes peeled if you want to be involved.
