Le Slovène va une nouvelle fois s'aligner au départ de la Primavera avec l'ambition de remporter ce premier Monument de la saison. Mais pour cela, il aura besoin d'une grande équipe UAE Team Emirates XRG. Et la formation émiratie a dévoilé sa composition, avec les rouleurs Vegard Stake Laengen, Domen Novak et Nils Politt qui devront faire le boulot avant l'embalage final. Puis ce sera au tour des Isaac Del Toro, Jhonatan Narvaez et Tim Wellens de faire exploser la course et de lancer Pogacar dans le Poggio... ou pourquoi pas dans la Cipressa. Toujours est-il que Tadej Pogacar a reconnu ce mercredi le parcours de Milan-San Remo... et un fan l'a surpris lors de sa reconnaissance et Pogi lui a raconté comment ça s'est passé !
