00:00Pearl's Galore is another, and we're very fortunate to have so many group one winning
00:21fillies and obviously the Dam of the Derby winner in this year's Tavisols December sale,
00:25so Pearl's Galore is an obvious highlight amongst them.
00:28She's got an outstanding pedigree.
00:30She's a very, very tough group one winning race mare.
00:34Pearl's Galore walked off the box here as an early three-year-old.
00:38She'd run twice in France when she arrived.
00:40She'd run twice for Freddie Head in Chantilly, I think, so she came and she was kind of a
00:46blank canvas and away we went.
00:49She came back then as a four-year-old and had a really good campaign.
00:52She was placed in the Bally Chorus.
00:54She won the Brownstown at Fairy House.
00:56She won the Fairy Bridge at Tipperary well, and then we went for the Matron and she was
01:01just chinned.
01:02She ran great that day, and we sent her to the Faray and again she ran a great race against
01:07Space Blues.
01:08I thought the ground was too heavy for her and she mightn't like it, but none of it.
01:12She really showed her stuff, and she took us to the Breeders' Cup then at the end of
01:17last year, and at that point maybe Andreas had the idea that he was probably going to
01:22retire her and the plan was to breed her, but when she came back she was here and she
01:26was cantering in routine like the rest of them.
01:28I thought she was in great form and I said to him, I said, look, I think we should consider
01:32maybe going again at five.
01:34I think she has the ability to win a group one and it'll be a pity if she's retired to
01:38stow it as a two-time group three winner, two-time group one place.
01:42So luckily he decided to go with me and she won easily.
01:46First time out in Leopardstown, enlisted to Heritage Stakes, which is a race that has
01:49a good history of horses going on to win group ones, top races from it over the last number
01:57of years.
01:58She went from there to the Landweid Stakes, the Ridgewood Pearl and Guinea's Weekend and
02:03she won that.
02:04She just did what she had to do.
02:05She gave me a good fright.
02:06She just kind of stuck her head out at the finish, but that's her, she's cheeky.
02:11And I think it's important to realize that Pearl's Galore, when she won the Matron Stakes,
02:16it was a very, very competitive renewal of that top class group one race.
02:20So yeah, she was beating some top class fillies in the likes of Homeless Songs and Tenebrism
02:26who are outstanding group one winners in their own right.
02:29She's a very well-bred filly.
02:31She's one of Andreas' best pedigrees.
02:33Her dam has produced several stakes winners.
02:35Her sister bred a current group winner for Godolphin this year, Eternal Pearl.
02:39Her granddad won the Vermeer.
02:41I think it's a very deep family.
02:43I think she appeals to anybody really, whether it be in Europe, America, Japan, you know,
02:50wherever that is.
02:51I think that she would be a good addition to any broodmare band, you know, an Invincible
02:55Spirit filly out of a pivotal mare from that line, you know, and Andreas, you have a great
03:00partner in Andreas.
03:02If you buy her, he's breeding the family to the best stallions on a constant basis.
03:07Anybody buying into this family, they know that they're buying a family that consistently
03:12produces group one performers.
03:14I think there's a group one performer in the first three dams, which is pretty rare in
03:17itself. So she's very, very special.
03:20She's buying Invincible Spirit.
03:22He himself is the broodmare sire of Victoria Road this year, a proven broodmare sire.
03:27And yeah, she can she can go to all of the top stallions in Europe at the moment.
03:32I think whoever gets her will be very lucky that, you know, she's a great personality.
03:35Whoever gets her will enjoy her.
