00:00Meanwhile, establishments in Central Visayas are reminding DOLE not to give up on the safety and well-being of their workers while at work.
00:10DOLE is also warning its employees not to give up on their health.

00:18Just recently, safety officers in Region 7 gathered with occupational medicine experts during the 3rd Occupational Medicine Week organized by DOLE Region 7 through the Occupational Safety and Health Center.
00:36The target is to ensure that establishments follow the guidelines to ensure the safety and well-being of their workers.
00:44Here in Central Visayas, the number of accidents in the workplace is increasing.
00:53That is why we would like to enforce more and advocate more in terms of safety and health programs.
01:01The Regional Director added that construction projects in Central Visayas are increasing and the main cause of the incident is electrocution and landslides.
01:10DOLE also called on its employees not to give up on their health.
01:15Because we need to examine the health of our workers and that pertains to hypertension.
01:24Because someone reports to us, why is someone dead there? Why did he die? Sir, he died in the barracks. Why was he attacked?
01:31When it comes to safety in the workplace, establishments are required by DOLE to craft and submit their occupational safety and health program.
01:45And in construction, whether it's a government project or a private project, they should be having their construction safety and health program.
01:56DOLE's advice to Central Visayas is to immediately report any incidents to them when they implement the guidelines and avoid the tragedies they are facing.
