00:00Analysts believe Nurul Izzah Anwar wants to prove that he is able to climb the PKR hierarchy on his own efforts in this May election.

00:10Arif Aizuddin Azlan from the University of Technology Mara said,

00:13although Izzah's position as the son of President Anwar Ibrahim will be a topic of conversation for many people,

00:18it will not have a serious implication because he is proven to be able to contribute to the party after a long time in politics.

00:26Yesterday, Izzah, who did not compete in the 2022 election, announced that he would step into the presidential arena

00:32where he will face three candidates, Amiruddin Syari, Amiruddin Harun, and Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad.

00:39Izzah will also compete with another Minister of the Federation, Fahmi Fazil.

00:43Azmi Hassan, a fellow Rimazis Professor of State, said,

00:47this election is the right time for Izzah to appear given the current PKR situation in the government.

00:53Arif also believes that Izzah will be able to strengthen his influence and position by entering the PRU16

00:59if he is elected to hold the position of Vice President.
