00:00The Speaker of the House of Representatives has called for a meeting to be held online.
00:05And I have also noticed that there are some problems that may arise in the future.
00:14We see around the world, all political parties have internal problems.
00:21One of the sources is in terms of candidate elections.
00:27Because right now, we want to have more than 100 seats.
00:31But there are only 1,500 candidates.
00:35Maybe 3,000.
00:37We only want to elect more than 100 candidates.
00:40So of course, there will be arguments when they are not elected.
00:46And I have seen that these symptoms are starting to grow in our party.
00:53That is why, as a senior student, I cannot let this disease become a pandemic.
01:00Before it becomes a pandemic, there must be a vaccine injected in our party.
01:07That is why I want to bring changes and reforms in our party.
01:14First, we must create a systematic and transparent mechanism to evaluate candidates.
01:22Let everyone know why they are elected or not.
01:30There is a system of evaluation.
01:32Of course, the highest leadership must make a decision.
01:36But the decision must be based on a system of evaluation that all parties must accept.
01:44Second, I want to announce that we want to institute a candidate election authority in our party.
01:58Of course, this involves a change in our party.
02:02We will not make a change today.
02:04We need to discuss and find the best mechanism.
02:12And in the next 18 months, this is one of the tasks that must be completed by the new executive power.
02:22And bring it back for the party to move to the National Convention in 2026.
02:3018 months from now.
02:33Second, I want to propose that we establish new positions in the CEC structure and include them in the party.
02:48Because we have a lot of leaders now.
02:52We need to specialise their tasks and roles.
02:56Third, I want to propose that the leadership of the DAP should be labelled as non-voters or abstain from voting.
03:06I propose that the leadership of the DAP should be included in the party.
03:12And this position must be appointed by those who are not members of the administration when the party is in the government.
03:21This means that the minister and his subordinates cannot hold the position of the minister.
03:28So after the CEC, I am sorry but we need to elect a new head of parliament.
03:35Because he has become a very busy minister.
03:40He has to take care of many people.
03:42He has to take care of building houses.
03:44He has to take care of bombs.
03:45So he has to take care of the head of parliament and let others take care of him.
03:49And he has to represent the party to declare the party's position without fear or favour in the parliament.
03:58So that there will be diversity.
04:01This must be instituted in the party's institution.
04:04Second, strategic leadership.
04:07We know that one of our colleagues from the DAP has strategic leadership.
04:14So when we have a meeting, sometimes Dato' Saifuddin asks me who has strategic leadership.
04:20Our strategist is usually Liu Cintong.
04:24But he is not an official position.
04:26So this strategic leadership must be instituted.
04:30Likewise, now we are involved in the disbanding of the foundation of the government.
04:36So the party must have a better system.
04:42So that we can discuss and discuss the foundations that the government wants to implement.
04:50So that it is not opposed to the principles of party struggle.
04:54So the foundation will be established.
04:58And fourth, to ensure that the DAP is always ready for the election.
05:05We want to have an official election committee in the party's institution.
05:12Next, the DAP is a progressive party.
05:16We raise the women's seat.
05:19Today, I want to propose that the DAP women's leader will be appointed as a permanent member in the election committee.
05:29Because women always say, this is the man who chooses the candidate.
05:37Not considering women.
05:40We put the women's leader.
05:42Sitting in the election committee.
