Audience boos JD Vance at Kennedy Center classical music performance

Exclusive: JD Vance, the US vice-president, and his wife, Usha, were met with a chorus of boos at Washington DC’s Kennedy Center on Thursday. They were attending a concert featuring works by Shostakovich and Stravinsky. The center has been thrown into turmoil after Donald Trump sacked its chairman, 13 of its trustees and appointed Maga loyalists. After news of the reaction to Vance at the concert emerged, Richard Grenell, interim director of the Kennedy Center who was recently appointed by Trump, said the crowd was 'intolerant'
