00:03we are now here at our first destination,
00:06the Miranila Heritage House and Library in Quezon City.
00:09This property is almost 100 years old.
00:13It was built in 1929 by Conrado Francia Benitez
00:18along with his wife, Francisca Tirona Benitez,
00:21co-founder of the Philippine Women's University.
00:25The Miranila can be found
00:27in one of the highest parts of Quezon City.
00:30And from its rooftop,
00:32you can see the whole of Manila,
00:34from Pasig to Makati.
00:36And because of its height,
00:38a visitor was called out
00:40from a tower here,
00:42Mirar Manila,
00:44which means in English,
00:47Look at Manila.
00:48And this is where the name Miranila came from.
