Tafseer:
This ruku starts with the ayat:
"And Satan will say when the matter has been concluded, 'Indeed, Allah had promised you the promise of truth. And I promised you, but I betrayed you. And I had no authority over you except that I called you, and you responded to me. So do not blame me; but blame yourselves.'" (Quran 14:22)
Tafseer:
In this ayat, Allah describes how Satan will speak to humanity on the Day of Judgment. Satan will acknowledge that Allah's promise of truth was fulfilled, but he will also remind humanity that he had promised them something else, which was a lie.
The next ayat says:
"And the decree of your Lord has been fulfilled upon the Jews and the Christians, who have been in dispute among themselves, 'We are the children of Allah and His beloved.' Say, 'Why then does He punish you for your sins?'" (Quran 14:27)
Tafseer:
In this ayat, Allah reminds the Jews and Christians that they have been in dispute among themselves, claiming to be the children of Allah and His beloved. However, Allah asks them why they are being punished for their sins if they are truly His beloved.
