00:00We are very happy with this fourth edition of Let Expo, I would say an extraordinary edition
00:11both for the authority of the presence of ten ministers who in these four days have intervened,
00:19in addition to the presence of ministers we have also had sub-secretary vice-ministers
00:25and 350 spokespersons, stakeholders of the whole system, who have really, I mean, given not only, I mean, many suggestions,
00:34but above all they have made us feel what the needs are, bringing a little the voice of transport and logistics in all these areas.
00:44And I must say that certainly the presence of 500 exhibitors, with a growth of 25% compared to last year,
00:51and of 130,000 people who have visited this important Expo in its four days, is certainly an excellent result,
01:00because we remember that this is an Expo, it is a great event, it is a fair, obviously B2B,
01:06so the fact of having 25,000 young people and, let's say, the presence of about, I mean, 100,000, let's say, operators, entrepreneurs,
01:20and therefore sometimes there have been clients with potential suppliers, and, let's say, suppliers with potential customers,
01:28and vice versa, has created the possibility of doing business, and this is not only business, because, I mean,
01:35if we then think that in a fair like this there is the presence of a social pavilion,
01:40which, however, thanks to the 500 exhibitors who have offered, I mean, very important resources compared to the 50 associations that participate,
01:51is certainly a result of which we are very proud.
01:54These days there has been a lot of talk about European policies, these hypertaxing that are massacring the sector,
02:01before the ETS and today the Fuel You, started on January 1, 2025, which are going to increase the costs of transport by about 20-25%,
02:11and certainly in such a difficult time they do not help, and above all, I mean, they are going to lead what is a sector that is the backbone not only of our country,
02:20but I would say, I mean, of Europe as a whole, so we hope that Europe will reflect and step back
02:28regarding these taxes that are not helping to decarbonize, but others are even bringing a modal backshift
02:36that is going to bring back many millions of trucks from the highways, again, from the sea to the real highways,
02:43so then going to increase what are the costs of externality that we have reduced per year equal to 2 billion,
02:50without forgetting, finally, that thanks to the highways of the sea and the intermodal lines, today the Italians save 7 billion euros.
02:58In all this is Alice and all this is Letexpo.
