00:00Greenland, what is your vision for the potential annexation of Greenland and getting the potentially?
00:08Well, I think it'll happen and I'm just thinking I I didn't give it much thought before but I'm sitting with a man
00:15That could be very instrumental. You know mark we need that for
00:18international security not just security international
00:22We have a lot of our favorite players
00:24cruising around the coast and we have to be careful and
00:28We'll be talking to you. It's a very appropriate really a very appropriate question
00:34So the Arctic so what you did so but when it comes to Greenland, yes, or not joining the u.s
00:39I would leave that outside for me this discussion because I don't want to direct NATO in that box
00:44When it comes to the high north in the Arctic, you are totally right the Chinese and are using these roots
00:50We know that the Russians are rearming. We know we have a lack of
00:53icebreakers
00:54So the fact that the seven
00:57Outside Russia seven Arctic countries working together on this
01:01Under US leadership is very important to make sure that that region that that part of the world stay safe
01:05And and we know things are changing there and we have to be there
01:08Well, you just had an election there the other day. Do you see a referendum a
01:14Plebiscite where the people of Greenland would be in a position to decide if they want to become part of the United States
01:22Yeah, it was a good election for us as you know, it was
01:26Not a referendum. It wouldn't be called that it was an individual election
01:30but the person that did the best is a very good person as far as we're concerned and
01:36So we'll be talking about it and it's very important
01:40Mark mentioned the word icebreaker. So we've ordered we're in the process of ordering 48 icebreakers and
01:48Canada wants to know if they could use them. I said well, you know, you got to pay for them
01:52Think of it Canada we pay for their military, you know, Canada pays very little for their military because they think we're going to protect them
02:00But even with the icebreakers, so we're going to order 48 and
02:04Canada wants to be part of the deal. I say you got to get your own icebreakers
02:08Then if you're a state you can be part of the deal
02:11But if you're you're a separate country, you've got to get your own icebreakers
02:15Russia as you know has about 40 of them and we have one big icebreaker
02:20But that whole area is becoming very important and for a lot of reasons the routes are, you know, very direct
02:28to Asia to Russia and you have ships all over the place and
02:33We have to have protection. So we're gonna have to make a deal on that and
02:37Denmark is not able to do that. You know, Denmark is very far away and
02:42Really has nothing to do what happens a boat landed there 200 years ago or something and they say they have rights to it
02:49I don't know if that's true. I'm not I don't think it is actually
02:52But we've been dealing with Denmark. We've been dealing with Greenland and we have to do it
02:56We we really need it for national security
02:59I think that's why NATO might be have to get involved in a way because
03:03We really need Greenland for national security. It's very important
03:07you know, we have a couple of bases on Greenland already and we have quite a few soldiers and
03:13Maybe you'll see more and more soldiers go there. I don't know. What do you think about that Pete? So
03:19Don't answer that piece
03:21Don't answer that but we have we have bases that we have quite a few soldiers in Greenland
