Brits reckon the job role of ‘mum’ should command an annual salary of more than £83,500.
A poll of 2,000 adults found seven in 10 couldn’t identify the role of ‘mum’ if it were described like a job – including working antisocial hours and the ability to keep the peace.
Other experiences included the ability to delegate and think creatively, with only 30 per cent thinking such descriptions aligned.
A spokesperson for Funky Pigeon which conducted the research ahead of Mother’s Day, said: “What is clear is that respondents certainly do value mums and everything they do.
“Looking at what experience they’d add to the CV of a mum, it’s so wide and varied it really showcases everything they do for us.
“However, the research has also shown that it can be easy at times to forget how much they do and show our appreciation.”

01:16is probably abolishing it.
01:17Just so we can celebrate them every single day.
01:20Give them a little break.
01:22I would say on Mother's Day,
01:23I probably would look after the kids.
