An engine on an American Airlines jet caught fire after the plane diverted to Denver on Thursday (March 13), forcing the evacuation of passengers using emergency slides, the Federal Aviation Administration said.

00:34The FAA said the Boeing 737-800 American Airlines flight was traveling from Colorado Springs
00:41and diverted from its planned destination of Dallas after the crew reported engine vibrations.
