00:00Hello, everybody, and a warm welcome to you from the Estadio Corona in Torreón, Mexico.
00:10It is the CONCACAF Champions Cup tonight.
00:13Round of 16, second leg as Monterey play host to Vancouver Whitecaps FC.
00:22Shots at Xhaka, entire crew, it's a pleasure to be with you as always tonight for Monterey.
00:27White and blue, we'll say, for Vancouver.
00:29In this second leg of the CONCACAF Champions Cup.
00:33Lovely back heel, Ocampos, ball in by Reyes, chance for Monterey, and they score in next
00:39to no time.
00:45Sergio Canales continues his wonderful start to this Monterey season, and inside of four
00:52minutes, Reyanos in their defense.
00:57Another lovely back heel, Ocampos, and then on the layoff, it's dragged back, a stoppage
01:02time winner to send them through.
01:04So they've come back before, but they're down again tonight.
01:10Ocampo, Vite, Vite's ball in is dangerous here, but it's a little too close to Andrada.
01:19They're not willing to share up front.
01:28It's a decent strike, but it was never on target.
01:32It was always rising, but Andrada was able to get to the spot, and they're going to try
01:38something similar here.
01:40Comes up a bit short, Blackman looks to recycle and clips the ball in, but it's too close
01:46to Esteban Andrada.
01:51Canales to deliver, and it was flicked on towards the back, stanko, and it stayed in
01:54play.
01:57Picked up the ball in anticipation of maybe ending the half here.
02:01Looks like he has ended the half.
02:03Well, a very interesting moment at the end there, referee deeming that Ocampo was not
02:09fouled on the edge of the penalty area, and the first half ends here in Mexico.
02:15Fourth coming on for Vancouver at the start of the second half.
02:20Still, Ali Ahmed, he lays it off, and the extra pass is made, and it's fired in by Ediero
02:30Ocampo to equalize for Vancouver.
02:37Another incredible response from the Whitecaps in this round of 16 tie.
02:44White on the night, Osir, oh, it's going to fall for a chance here, Torres, Canales,
02:52just wide, and it just gave him a sliver of an opening.
02:57As you hear from Vancouver, it's a takeaway, and then there was miscommunication, but it
03:02falls for White, and incredibly, Brian White has scored again for Vancouver in the Champions
03:10Cup.
03:13The Whitecaps lead, Canales, through the wall, oh, and then the rebound's off the bar.
03:22Bomer completely missed it, Canales back in the mix, and then the offside flag would have
03:27gone up, no one from Monterey attacks it, and Vancouver are let off the hook here, all
03:34across, not quite there, handball appeals come in, Monterey for a penalty on a handball.
03:42Sergio Ramos is adamant that this should be checked, and it will be checked.
03:53Well from that angle, it does look like the arm is outstretched, and it comes off the
03:57elbow, I think, Veselinovich, and it's a penalty, hope of still coming back here, another look
04:09at the penalty, arm was outstretched, it comes off the elbow, and Selvin Brown, Monterey
04:17in with a shout, Ramos scores, Sergio Ramos scores on his Champions Cup debut, what a
04:32second leg this has been, and that's it, full time, the Vancouver Whitecaps go where
04:40no Canadian team has gone before them, they come to Mexico, and they knock out Monterey
04:47in the Champions Cup.
