Duterte common law wife resists former leader's arrest, smacks SAF member on head

Video from the Philippine National Police shows how former president Rodrigo Duterte’s common law wife Honeylet Avancena hit a member of the Special Armed Forces using her cellphone. She was heard asking authorities not to let her daughter, Veronica Duterte, be taken away from her. The incident happened on March 11, 2025 when the former leader was arrested following a warrant from the International Criminal Court (ICC) for alleged crimes against humanity.
