00:00At the back of the smiling faces, there's a child who's only two years old.
00:11He's literally growing up in his own little world.
00:15That's why he asked his grandparents for help from the GMA Kapuso Foundation.
00:21The two-year-old boy, Ash, is only two years old.
00:26So who would have thought that he has a tumor on his neck and shoulders?
00:32His days with his tumors are coming to an end.
00:37There are times when his tumors turn red and there are times when they don't.
00:42Like last time, he cried because of his tumor.
00:47He was crying because of his tumor.
00:50He was pointing his hand at a part of his tumor.
00:54From Cagayan Valley, their children traveled to Manila to have Ash operated on.
01:00Ash's father, Hill, was willing to do anything to support his son's treatment.
01:07But that's not enough.
01:10He earns P500 per day as a truck driver.
01:15I carry things for my son.
01:19I load it on a truck so that he can have money to go back to the hospital.
01:26That's why they approached the GMA Kapuso Foundation.
01:30And we immediately had Ash examined by a pediatric surgeon.
01:34Our diagnosis is cystic hychroma.
01:38This is an abnormality of the development of colonic or lymph nodes.
01:43So instead of a small colon, it grew and became cystic.
01:49There are two treatments for cystic hychroma.
01:52Either we inject a medicine to shrink and remove the cystic,
01:59or we remove it by surgery.
02:03The Kapuso Foundation hopes that we can help Ash in his operation.
02:08I am asking for help to operate on Baby.
02:15Because of the cold weather,
02:19at 9 degrees Celsius in some places,
02:21there are crops in Benguet that were damaged by a drought or frost.
02:26This is a disaster for the farmers.
02:28That's why they asked for help from the GMA Kapuso Foundation under Operation Bayanihan.
02:39Some farmers in Mangkayan in Benguet were told that their crops were damaged by a drought or frost
02:51because of the cold weather.
02:54Usually, this happens in the month of later part of December and until February.
03:02When our crops are ready,
03:05if there is a long frost in the plant,
03:08the plant will either rot or will die.
03:13Gary's pechay crops were damaged by a drought or frost.
03:18If he sells these crops, he will lose money.
03:22He will have to pay more for transportation.
03:28It was only Php 12 or Php 15, but now it's only Php 5.
03:32That's why we didn't continue harvesting because it's a loss.
03:36He was also affected by the growth of his carrots.
03:40This was damaged by a drought.
03:43Its size is different. It should be like this.
03:46Marisa's potatoes were also not saved.
03:49She has no income.
03:51It's a loss for the capital.
03:53It's really painful.
03:55It's really sad.
03:57But we need to get up and work again for our children who are studying.
04:04To help those who are affected by drought,
04:08GME Kapusu Foundation went to Bugyas and Mangkayan
04:13to deliver food packs under Operation Bayanihan.
04:18You will help us a lot.
04:21We are happy.
04:23We have a new hope.
04:25In total, we helped more than 700 farmers.
04:30Thank you, Kapuso!
04:33In the year of the Liting Kapuso Project of GMA Kapuso Foundation,
04:38it's not just free justice that can be given to the beneficiaries.
04:42We also want to give back their trust in themselves.
04:46And now, they are ready to show their new smile.
04:50A smile full of hope, happiness, and a new beginning.
04:59Whenever Eric, the on-call driver, travels,
05:02he always wants his passengers to be safe and comfortable.
05:06But even though he wants to tell them stories
05:09so that the trip will be easier and happier,
05:13he always starts with tears.
05:15Because he has no more tears.
05:17In front of people,
05:20there's no justice.
05:23It doesn't look good.
05:25It's like my mouth is covered.
05:28Eric's story reflects the experiences of our fellow countrymen
05:32who are also dreaming of justice.
05:37And that is the fulfillment of the Liting Kapuso Project of GMA Kapuso Foundation
05:43by the CEU School of Dentistry this Oral Health Month.
05:47Two weeks after our beneficiaries were admitted to the Oral Screening and Impression Setting,
05:53we gave them their free justice.
05:57Now, they are full of confidence and smiling.
06:02The effect of breastfeeding really has a big impact on us,
06:05especially on our looks.
06:07If there's no breastfeeding, of course, there's no support.
06:09There's nothing that can give strength to our breasts.
06:12We are happy with them
06:14because I know their lives will be changed.
06:17It's great that we were able to help 100 people this year
06:21because it's the centennial celebration of the School of Dentistry this year.
06:28So this 100 is a symbol of the 100 years of the School of Dentistry.
06:35We hope that there will be many opportunities for you to open up
06:39and that this will help you move forward in your life.
06:44Thank you very much to Liting Kapuso for the free justice they gave.
06:49This will help my dream of my beneficiaries.
