00:00This isn't just another stop on the Freeride World Tour, it's the last chance to secure
00:09a spot for the grand finale.
00:13After five intense events, only 60% of the athletes will advance.
00:19For the rest, the journey ends here.
00:32Every turn, every drop, every landing counts.
00:37One mistake and the dream of riding with the world's best on Verbier's iconic Bec d'Orost
00:43is gone.
00:44Fuck!
00:45No!
00:46The cut is everything.
00:47It's push, it's make or break.
00:49The pressure is there.
00:51I have to do super well.
00:52I have to ski 100%.
00:59The mountain doesn't care about rankings.
01:02It rewards commitment, confidence and pure skill.
01:08And as the cut looms, only those who can handle the heat will survive.
01:16This is Freeride at its most ruthless.
01:28Welcome, welcome, welcome to the Fieber Brun Pro.
01:32This is stop number five on the 2025 Freeride World Tour by Peak Performance and you better
01:39buckle up your butts because it is crunch time and we are here for the cut.
01:44We have a slight change in the format here today.
01:47We are only running three categories, ski women, snowboard women and snowboard men.
01:52It's based on the conditions that we have on the Wiltsiloder face.
01:55Have a look here at the GoPro face preview.
01:58As Derek said, here we are on the Wiltsiloder, one of the longest running venues we have
02:02here on the Freeride World Tour.
02:04The top is at 2,000 meters.
02:07It's quite steep and they've got nearly 600 meters of riding.
02:11Again, a pretty long venue for these riders.
02:13A lot of different options of style.
02:16You have cliffs, you have doubles, you have transfers.
02:19And it's a little low tide and the athletes have to be really conscious of the variability
02:24in that snow.
02:30All right, the first category of the day is going to be ski women and the pressure is
02:35on some of these women that are sitting on the downhill side of the cut.
02:39The side hit up at the top.
02:42Lots of exposure under there, but clean and safe for Alana Kohler as she picks up speed
02:48coming down into the lower section.
02:56There's kind of a little pocket there that we can barely see, kind of going lookers left
03:00to right.
03:01And yeah, she's going to open up this new air.
03:03Oh, and she is clean.
03:05Clean and what's hard to see on your screen is there is a lot of avalanche debris in that
03:10cone and she rode with strength.
03:14Yeah, it's a tough one, but again, she doesn't need a result here and there.
03:19That finishing move, so solid.
03:21Stomping the big air, so.
03:24Towards the bottom section, we saw Molly go through here.
03:27Britta in the air, landing, a little bounce.
03:30Oh, and she's down.
03:31Down and lost.
03:32There's our head top.
03:34She is okay in body to have the chance of making it through this cut.
03:40And if anyone should ride the Verbier Beck, it might be Chloe.
03:43She loves rocks and skiing right over them.
03:46Stomping, holding on, making it through.
03:50We are so excited for Chloe.
04:05Yeah, one of the foreigners came in here and opened this couloir up today and she's going
04:14to double out of it.
04:16Oh, Zuza going down, turning a little bit too quickly for the speed that she had.
04:23When you get your skis pointed across the hill, you can feel it in their movement that
04:30it just doesn't feel like you want to let go there because you never know what the snow
04:33is going to do to you.
04:34Oh!
04:36Elizabeth just getting kind of bobbled there.
04:44Next rider, Astrid Shillou dropping.
04:47Astrid now coming into a slightly different direction than we saw Zuza and clean in and
04:53out quickly as she had to manage the little pit that the ski patrollers dug there on the
04:59extraction from Zuzana Vitek.
05:01Astrid now lining up this bottom feature.
05:04We wondered if this was going to go tapping over the bushes but making it out of there.
05:17Back up to the top, this is the current Freeride World Tour leader and the 2023 Freeride World
05:23Tour champion, Justine Dupour-Lapointe.
05:26She does have an opportunity to take the title today but that task just got incredibly more
05:32difficult.
05:33She's going to come in here, lacing it up, little bit bigger angle off it, nice clean
05:37landing.
05:43She's taking a different line and looking like she's going into the same zone that we
05:47saw Nadine go with a massive send for Justine.
05:50A little short but she managed to ride it out.
05:54Wow, the bar was set and Justine matched it.
05:57It looked maybe potentially just her hands touched but such strong landing.
06:02That was a huge run and a real statement I'd say from the Tour leader that she's not letting
06:07her foot off the gas at all.
06:13Well the judges have had their say as we see the score coming up, up, up.
06:1783-3-3 so just behind Nadine.
06:20This is our event wildcard, an absolute legend in the freeride world, Nadine Volner from
06:27right here in Austria.
06:29She's the 2013 and 2014 Freeride World champion, starting to really kind of turn on the gas
06:36into the same section we saw Fredda Winans go into, taking a slightly different angle
06:40landing clean.
06:41So good start here for Nadine Volner.
06:49Oh, Nadine Volner over a big chunk of terrain, releasing into the fall line, full send and
06:56she stomps it.
06:57Oh, Nadine Volner proving exactly why they used to call her the machine when she was
07:02on the Freeride World Tour.
07:07You can hear the Austrian crowd around us excited for their woman.
07:13That was one of the biggest cliffs I've seen a lady hit in the comps for a very long time.
07:18Proper big mountain skiing, that was really cool to watch.
07:20She's just looking back up and the judges have spoken quickly as that score goes 87-3-3.
07:28Incredible score there for Nadine Volner.
07:38As we are back up to the top, this next rider, Lily Bradley, fired up and ready to go.
07:44Their mantra, ski fast and have fun.
07:48Right centered over her skis.
07:51And huge!
07:52Yes!
07:53They make it all the way over all those rocks.
07:56Lily now just trying to get back in control.
08:05And I think this is a run for her to just show what they are capable of.
08:09Lining up that massive cliff, taking it with speed.
08:13Yes!
08:14Oh my goodness!
08:16Hold on to it through the debris.
08:18Wow, absolutely amazing run for Lily right now.
08:21You saw Nadine, you saw Justine, they went in pretty slow and Lily just full gas.
08:31That was smooth, that was how you do it, that was 100% proper.
08:33Nadine kind of slowed down into it and Lily just came in and made quick work of that.
08:38She's going to be happy with that one.
08:41Balancing what they saw against the criteria.
08:44There is the score of Nadine Vogler and Lily goes into it 90.67.
08:49They are taking on the hot seat.
09:02Alright, let's take a look at the event scoreboard here Hadley.
09:05This is what happened today in the Feverbrim Pro.
09:08Lily with the massive air, they sent it.
09:12Inspired probably by our wild card Nadine Vogler who is sitting in second.
09:17Justine Defour-Lapointe in third.
09:19Astrid Shalouse in fourth and Laina Koehler rounding it out in fifth.
09:23And as we look down, Lily Bradley has jumped up from last place in Ski Women
09:30to just above the cut.
09:32Ariana Tacomi, Taylor Dobbins and Chloe Hare on the downhill side of that cut.
09:43Welcome back to the Feverbrim Pro.
09:46Stop number five on the Freeride World Tour by Peak Performance.
09:50This is the 2024 Freeride World Tour champion.
09:53She's at a rocky road this year.
09:55Erin Sauve riding out of Rosslyn, BC.
09:59And Justine Snowboard, because she's good at that.
10:02Erin Sauve now entering a slightly different entrance towards the side hit that we saw.
10:08Mikayla Davis-Meehan makes such nice work of getting on the heel side edge.
10:17This is where you've got to aim into that little notch of snow
10:20as Erin finds her way, popping over that little kind of bushy rock section
10:25and now the big air beneath her looming.
10:28She's got to get the trajectory right as she bounces all the way to the edge.
10:43She's trying to catch her breath, seeing her good buddy there, Mikayla Davis-Meehan
10:46sitting in the hot seat, score jumping up to a 66 even.
10:49So she moves into second just behind Mikayla.
10:52Pride of Newcastle and Kalgoorlie, Australia, having a blast on the Freeride World Tour.
11:00Heading towards her first feature.
11:02Yeah, popping off that, getting the grab.
11:04So Erin's style points already on the table.
11:08Mikayla Davis-Meehan, regular footed rider, now are available under Mikayla
11:14as she comes to the edge of this corner.
11:15We were calling this the side hit ski women and taking a big chunk of it.
11:19Mikayla Davis-Meehan using the heel side edge.
11:24She knows exactly where she is now.
11:26She needs to eyeball the landmarks on the toe side edge
11:29and across the finish line, popping into the finish.
11:32And that is a very, very solid effort on the Viltiloader
11:36for the Newcastle rider, Mikayla Davis-Meehan.
11:39Hello, Daisy!
11:4078.67, so Mikayla Davis-Meehan taking over the hot seat.
11:46The shadow of Noemi Aki cast over the snowboard women's field.
11:50This young woman has made short work of her first season on the Freeride World Tour,
11:55potentially a championship season.
11:58Solid start here for Noemi Aki as she is going full speed,
12:02probably the fastest we've seen any of the riders take on this part.
12:05Definitely making quick work of this venue.
12:07She has a very, very solid start.
12:11Definitely making quick work of this venue.
12:13She has exposure all below her, has to stay in control,
12:18make use of the venue, but also stay on her feet.
12:25Over that air, over that cliff,
12:27as Noemi puts the board into the fall line and immediately back into control,
12:31using the heel side edge as a brake.
12:35Master of leaving no feature undone.
12:37Huge double, so strong, coming out with so much heat right through all that terrain.
12:49Well, this is textbook riding,
12:52and Noemi Aki adding to the air and style with a 360 there
12:56and another feature as she makes her way through the arch,
13:00safe and sound to the roar of the Austrian crowd.
13:04They love that run.
13:05So exciting.
13:06I mean, for the slope style rider,
13:08she is proving that she is at home in the steep.
13:12As now the score coming in,
13:13the judges comparing that run to the criteria and to that.
13:16And Michaela, 83.33.
13:18Noemi Aki into first place.
13:21That is a massive, massive result.
13:24And her best friend, travel partner and riding buddy,
13:27Ana Martinez flying out there.
13:29Big hugs.
13:31And if the math is correct, this is her victory.
13:35This is her winning run and will bring her into the overall champion
13:38no matter what happens in Burbier.
13:44So Noemi coming in with that solid first.
13:4683 points, Michaela right behind her.
13:49Erin Salve jumping up to third.
13:51We have Nuria and Audrey, that battle.
13:53Nuria coming in fourth and then Audrey right behind her in fifth.
13:57So 30,000 points for Noemi Aki and Michaela Davis-Meehan,
14:02Ana Martinez and Nuria Caston-Baron jumping up over.
14:14Welcome back to the Fever Brune Pro.
14:17We are two categories down, one to go,
14:20and we are ready, Hadley, for Snowboard Man.
14:23At our first man, this is Remy Benhamou
14:26as he gets things going for Snowboard Man here on the Bilty Loader.
14:30Remy getting the backside three off it,
14:33reverting a little bit of a stop there on the heelside edge.
14:37Making his way off on this cliff.
14:39Huge air, so strong.
14:42A great riding out of the Swiss Rider
14:44and what a way to open the men's snowboard category.
14:47Back we go and the message from Michael Monk,
14:50have so much fun.
14:52Section of the first air is really committing
14:55and as Andrew said, really blind coming into this air.
15:00Popping a really well executed double there
15:03but Michael making very short work of it,
15:05back across with the back three,
15:07clearing the entire feature.
15:09Huge so far from Michael Monk.
15:16Michael now in the gully there,
15:18a challenging riding over here on this part of the face.
15:22Michael finding the side of that,
15:24that's so flat there as you can see him just getting compressed.
15:27It is one of the strongest riders on the tour.
15:29Now coming into this feature,
15:31you can see what it looks like underneath there.
15:33This has to be executed perfectly for it to work.
15:36And it is!
15:37Perfect indeed!
15:39A solid performance there from the American rider.
15:46We move back up to the top,
15:48to the man in the golden bib,
15:50three-time Freeride World Tour champion.
15:53Victor can cement his fourth world title.
16:00Victor now getting things underway.
16:02Making his way on I think,
16:03you know the girl set the tone,
16:05going big for the day.
16:09Popping up and over,
16:10looked like he had a tail tap on the rock.
16:17We can see the upper section of that gully,
16:19going front three there,
16:21above all that exposure, so committed.
16:26Lining himself up for the air that we saw
16:28the other riders hit.
16:31Slightly different trajectory there
16:33as Victor goes around,
16:34but clean and solid there now
16:37on the toeside edge.
16:38And he digs that toeside edge and goes down.
16:44Into the fall line,
16:45clearing the rocks,
16:46stomping it.
16:47He's got to get over that traverse track,
16:48which he does.
16:49And Victor now full fall line.
16:54Spinning his way into the finish line.
16:59Back up to Zillertal rider,
17:01Timmy Schroeder.
17:02Timmy going way higher on the takeoff,
17:04cross court,
17:05and bounced off his board.
17:11There's nothing underneath him
17:12but huge cliffs.
17:14And Timmy's going to need to release
17:15into the fall line
17:16if he's going to get over the rocks.
17:17He does,
17:18and now roasting down.
17:21Enzo Nilo,
17:22this man sitting in third place overall.
17:25Launching himself with full control.
17:29Yeah, and he's taking a moment
17:30to just look and make sure
17:31he's got the landmarks and trajectory good
17:33because there are a lot of rocks
17:35in the landing of this feature.
17:36He needs to get over, around,
17:38landing right in the bum hole of Enzo,
17:41getting throttled there.
17:50We got the wave there from Enzo Nilo.
17:53Jonathan Penfield now,
17:54the man sitting in second overall.
17:59Well, he's going way higher
18:01than we've seen anyone go.
18:02Always a unique take
18:04on these Freeride World Tour venues.
18:06No one else has even looked at this section.
18:09And Jonathan Penfield
18:10just billy-goating his way through.
18:12He's got two already,
18:13turning it into three, four,
18:15and super clean and precise
18:18for Jonathan Penfield
18:19using every single feature available to him.
18:23And airing above that exposure,
18:25finding another feature.
18:29Jon Penfield releasing into the fall line
18:31off the nose of that one.
18:32Clean reception again.
18:34So really smooth, calculated
18:37riding here from Jonathan Penfield.
18:40Pioneering new parts of the Vilzi Loader venue
18:43even this late.
18:44And he's been really,
18:46he's been really, oh, 360 there
18:48above those huge cliffs,
18:49digging into the snow a little bit.
18:51Hard to see the detail,
18:53but now he is above another big cliff band
18:56that no one else has taken anything out of.
19:00Jonathan Penfield, look at what is below him
19:03as he makes his way now.
19:04He's got to be so precise.
19:06Putting the nose of the board
19:07into the fall line, doubling out,
19:09and he is clean.
19:11Incredibly unique line
19:14for Jonathan Penfield.
19:15So creative, so precise.
19:23As we look back up,
19:24Holden Samuels.
19:26This man is certainly able to get it done.
19:29Great speed, great commitment,
19:31and then super control,
19:33lofting that 360.
19:42And now getting out of the gully
19:44so Holden kind of blending
19:46two of the lines together,
19:48going freestyle at the top
19:50and then getting into this big mountain section
19:52we've seen in the line scores previously.
19:54The judges like this section
19:55because it's so committed.
19:57And Holden going right off the nose
19:59using the heel side edge and staying up.
20:01So really, really strong there
20:03for Holden using all of the strength
20:06that he has in his body.
20:08As he's got another one here
20:10floating another back three
20:11and perfect.
20:12Very similar on that one to Michael Maughan.
20:15Really creative.
20:16He kind of took the best
20:17of each third section in this venue.
20:21Now, things are in the judges' hands.
20:23It's up, it's up and 81.
20:25So solid, solid performance there.
20:29Now we go back up to the top.
20:31This man fresh off a win in Georgia,
20:34Cody Bramwell, the UK rider.
20:39Passing by the section
20:40that we saw Michael Maughan
20:41going into opting for a different direction.
20:43Big back three landing.
20:45Precise.
20:47Incredible what he's above.
20:49Lofting off the side hit.
21:00And as you see on the lower section
21:02of your screen,
21:03there's no easy exit
21:05to this part of the Viltilota.
21:07Double, triple stomp.
21:10Cody Bramwell with incredibly precise execution
21:15on that part.
21:16He had to be picture perfect
21:18or that wouldn't have worked.
21:24As we see now the score coming in.
21:26What's it going to be?
21:2784-3-3.
21:29So Cody Bramwell now takes over the hot seat,
21:32the revolving door of the Dynastar hot seat.
21:36All right.
21:37Well, we have one man left.
21:39So Liam Rivera riding out of Verbier.
21:42We know the Swiss are out here in droves.
21:44The valet flag waving at the finish area.
21:47The Verbier rider is ready to go
21:49with a wave to the folks at home in Verbier
21:52with the scraps left over
21:54from the rest of these riders.
21:56Totally.
21:57It can be so stressful to start the category
21:59and also stressful to finish the category,
22:01but I think it's a good way
22:02to put that exclamation point.
22:04Yeah, really technical in here.
22:06You got to be very precise with your board placement.
22:09As Liam comes down, you can see the track.
22:11Oh, and he's going the other direction
22:13with a huge air.
22:14It's so tight in that landing
22:16and Liam landing perfectly.
22:18He's got still a bunch of exposure below him.
22:21Now he's got this big blade cliff underneath him.
22:24He's heading the other direction,
22:26airing off that.
22:27Incredible.
22:31Nailed it perfectly.
22:32Coming with a 360,
22:34showing that he can do it all
22:36and one big feature below him still.
22:38Yeah, Liam Rivera right off the nose,
22:40keeping a fall line approach
22:42and high speed run out,
22:44bouncing.
22:51What a way to finish the snowboard men's category.
22:54Liam Rivera with another completely different take
22:57on this phase and executing it absolutely flawlessly.
23:00It's coming in.
23:01What's it going to be?
23:02Cody Bramall, 87.
23:04Liam, the last rider of the day,
23:07taking over first place.
23:09A huge performance for the Swiss rider
23:12as he moves into first.
23:15The Fever Broom Pro delivering
23:17and here's what we have at the end of the day.
23:19Liam, again, dropping last into first place.
23:22Cody Bramall, number two.
23:24Holden Samuels on the podium with three.
23:26Michael Maughan right behind him.
23:28Here we see Remy Benhamo dropping below the cut
23:31as well as Tim Schroeder
23:33and Michael Maughan jumping up to the good side.
