01:07Thankful for John Lewis. Thankful for Amelia Boynton.
01:11Thankful for Hosea Williams.
01:13Thankful for all of the civil rights heroes, leaders, and foot soldiers
01:17who paid a heavy price, carried a heavy burden,
01:21and helped to transform this nation.
01:25We appreciate the service and the sacrifice and the work
01:30of John Lewis, having served with him,
01:33one who would always tell us during good times and troubled times,
01:38never give up, never give in.
01:42And when you see injustice, always be prepared
01:46to show up, to stand up, and to speak up for what is right.
01:52So we stand on the shoulders of those giants right now,
01:55still having to carry a heavy burden to perfect our country
02:00and perfect our democracy.
02:03And so we stand here in support of civil rights,
02:06stand here in support of voting rights,
02:08stand here in support of racial justice, social justice, economic justice.
02:13They want us to step back, but we're here to make clear
02:16we are going to fight back until we make sure
02:20that America is the best version of herself.
02:24God bless you all.
02:27We're marching to the spot where our people tried to pray,
02:34but they wouldn't let them pray.
02:38So please don't stop marching.
