00:00But let's take a look at this lineup for the Pittsburgh Pirates and look at the win total too.
00:04Tommy Pham at the top. Tommy Pham was 37 years old. He's played for every major league team,
00:09it feels like. Brian Reynolds next. O'Neal Cruz. Andrew McCutcheon. Andrew McCutcheon and Tommy
00:16Pham. This is our answer here where we're going to compete. It's a great ballpark. You mentioned
00:20it before. It's one of the best places to watch a game. I just don't know if you're going to see
00:23any offense this year. Joey Bart, Derek Hall, Nick Gonzalez has a little bit of upside.
00:29Brian Hayes. I don't know when that experiment is going to end, but my God, talk about a
00:32disappointing player. And then Isaiah Keiner-Falefa. This lineup is pretty uninspiring.
00:40Paul Skeens though, very inspiring. So is Jared Jones. I just had Nick Pollock on my show from
00:45Pitcher List talking about the upside of Jared Jones in 2025. Very bullish on him. Mitch Keller,
00:51when you have good Mitch Keller, it's about as good as it gets. When you have bad Mitch Keller,
00:54it's about as bad as it gets. So he's a guy that if it's not going well on another team,
00:59trade for him. And if it's going well on your team, you might want to think about
01:03trading him away. The back of this rotation is temporary though with Falter and Heaney,
01:07because eventually you're going to get Bubba Chandler coming through and some more of these
01:10pitching prospects. Look, it's just, it's frustrating. I think if you're a Pirates fan,
01:14because you see the potential here, but George, there's not enough offense to go around.
01:18I mean, I do crush the Orioles for what they did, what they didn't do, I should say. And Pitcher's
01:24right there. Listen, I'm not saying they'd be a World Series team, but as you're sort of
01:27insinuating, and I completely agree, you would have added a legitimate bat or two here. You'd
01:32be right there with division. All right. We know Skeens is a solid young candidate, right? And
01:35Jared Jones may not be that far behind him. And you're right about Keller, but still, as far as
01:40a number three, we'll take that run. And once again, Heaney, Falter, okay, they may be worse,
01:45the Brewers and what the Cubs and what the Reds throw at you as far as four and five, but still,
01:50with your top of the rotation, if you had a better lineup, you'd be right there with these teams,
01:55right there. And you're so right about Chandler, by the way, and Harrington as well. This team is
01:59pitching up the wazoo. All right. They really should have made a deal with Baltimore and gotten
02:03a couple of their young bats here. I mean, Tommy Fabbio, you signed him, what the hell, you trade,
02:07you want to trade him for something and whatever you're going to get from him at the deadline here.
02:11McCutcheon, he's a legacy player. I get it, but he's your cleanup batter. Come on.
02:16I mean, what are we doing here? I understand you got a lot of top young prospects that haven't
02:19worked out. All right. Joey Barton, San Francisco prospect that hasn't worked out. Brian Hayes,
02:24you already said it hasn't worked out here. O'Neal Cruz, it has worked out, but maybe not to the
02:28level that you're hoping for. You're going with IKF at shortstop. Didn't you all see what the
02:33Yankees, the problems they had with him? He's not a shortstop. He can't reach first base.
02:37It's disappointing, Joe. I mean, if I'm a Pirate fan, I'm just upset. I'm disappointed
02:43for what this team could be. You're talking, I don't know, 75 to 78 wins at best.
