00:00Right, congratulations Jamie. What was it, around about 65-15. How do you tell us just how the race unfolded because it looked like a very very competitive run.
00:11Yes, one to start with, it was a great field. The amount of guys coming up for the Scottish Champs up here is great to see.
00:18So it was quite tactical, went off really slow. Someone went off the front, everyone was kind of looking at each other and then just gradually got faster and faster.
00:26That last 6k was pretty quick, all about 3 minute k's. I'm not fussed about the time, just happy to get the win in such a strong field.
00:37So with 6k to go, who was still left?
00:40I think there was still 6 of us, so still pretty competitive, me, Ryan, Sean, Taha and Eddie Darbert I think, so battling it out.
00:51I was just trying to stay out of the wind as long as possible and then when I made my move I wanted my move to be like, that's it, gone.
00:58I actually think I went a bit early because I was struggling when I got on the track.
01:02So at what point did you decide to make the break?
01:04About a k to go, so I think my last k was around 2.50, so yeah, proper win for it.
01:11You said 100 times, just for a little bit I thought Sean was closing.
01:15Yeah, so I thought I had a bigger gap, so my legs were starting to go, so I thought I better take a bit off this or I'm going to fall over the line here.
01:21But I heard Sean coming behind me and Ryan, so I still had a wee bit left of 200 to go.
01:26So how does it feel to add another Scottish title to the list?
01:30It's good, I think they're really important. It's like I'm being brought up in the sport, so I know how important having a Scottish title is.
01:36After the National, having such a disappointing result, I'm happy just to come back and race and get a win again.
01:42Yep, well you certainly did that, and you said it was a really high quality field.
01:47Yeah, it was. I actually wasn't expecting it, so I thought it was going to get easier today than ever.
01:55It's never easy.
01:56It's never easy. A Scottish title should never be easy, so yeah, I'm glad I got it.
02:00So what's next then for you?
02:02I think I'm going down to Pilford, which is a European road trial for 10k.
02:09I don't know what sort of shape I'm in for 10k, but hopefully around that 28 high mark.
02:16So when is the European road?
02:19European road is a good question.

02:23Oh no, you're making me look bad now. That's how I find my season ends there.
02:27I'm going to try and see how that goes then.
