00:05California. Anti-India messages were written on the temple walls. BAP's has issued a statement
00:11over the temple desecration saying that Hindu community stands against hate. They further
00:15said, will never let hate take the rule. My colleague Geeta Mohan is joining us on the
00:19phone line with more details. Geeta, tell us about what exactly has happened here in
00:23California. We're hearing that a BAP's temple has been desecrated with anti-Hindu statements
00:28having been written on the walls. Geeta, if you can hear me, could you give us more details
00:40on what exactly has happened in California where a BAP's Hindu temple has been desecrated.

00:53what has happened in California. A BAP's Hindu temple has been desecrated in California with
00:58anti-India messages written on the temple walls. BAP's has also issued a statement over
01:02temple desecration saying that the Hindu community stands against hate and that they'll never
01:07let hate take the root. They said in the face of another Mandir desecration, this time in
01:13Chino Hills, California, the Hindu community stands steadfast against hate. Together with
01:18the community in Chino Hills and Southern California, we'll never let the hate take
01:22root. BAP's has further said that their common humanity and faith will ensure that peace
01:26and compassion prevail. And this is after a BAP's Hindu temple was desecrated in California
01:33with anti-India messages written on the temple walls. My colleague Geeta Mohan is joining
01:41us on the phone line with more details. Geeta, give us more details on what exactly has happened
01:45in California. We're hearing that a BAP's Hindu temple has been desecrated. Well, that's
01:50right. This is one of the largest of the BAP's temples that are there. This is in Chino Hills.
01:56And the details that are coming out are sketchy right now because they don't have a face or
02:04an organization involved. But then, yes, this comes a day when the Khalistani referendum,
02:14so to say, is drawing to a close in LA. So, yes, Khalistani elements sending out a message
02:20yet again. And this is in close to all the incidents that we've seen in the recent past.
02:26BAP's has put out a statement saying that the temple was vandalized and burglar in the
02:33last few years. And they have listed out about 10 such incidents that have taken place. So
02:40while we do know that the Indian administration always takes up this matter with the US administration,
02:46we are yet to see what the reaction of this incident is going to be and how the MEA and
02:52the consulate as well as the mission in DC react to the incident. And what would India's
03:00ask be when it comes to safety and security of places of worship as also people and diplomats.
