00:00There are 800 students in a school in Pasig City

00:03who benefited from the BATANG BUSOG MALUSOG program today.

00:08The program is part of the government's effort

00:12to fight malnutrition.

00:14Gavreel Yagas is in the center of the news.

00:19The BATANG BUSOG MALUSOG or BBM program

00:22of the Office of the Presidential Advisor on Poverty Alleviation in Pasig City

00:27The program aims to fight malnutrition in public schools

00:30and to provide the public with good news and information

00:34about the programs implemented by the government.

00:37Around 800 students of Oranbo Elementary School

00:41were blessed with nutritious food

00:44such as oatmeal, milk powder, nutriban,

00:47toho, banana, boiled egg, and water.

00:51There is also a booklet that the students received

00:53from their private partner.

00:55PhilHealth also participated in the activity

00:57for those who wanted to become a member

00:59but were not able to obtain their PhilHealth ID.

01:02According to Secretary Larry Gadon,

01:04many children and organizations

01:08were able to join the BBM program of OPAPA.

01:11One of the reasons why we initiated the BBM BATANG MALUSOG

01:17is to serve as an inspiration to our fellow citizens

01:21who have the ability to join civic organizations

01:23so that they can adapt the program that we are implementing.

01:28We are not asking for money.

01:31These are items, food, milk, water,

01:35which are the nutritious items that they provide.

01:39OPAPA will visit many other places in the country

01:42in the coming months.

01:43For the Civic Organization of Fraternal Order of Eagles,

01:47which is one of OPAPA's bodies,

01:49addressing the problem of malnutrition

01:51is one of their advocacy.

01:53The reason for our poverty in the Philippines

01:57is because of malnutrition and education.

02:00That is why we chose the Civic Organization of Fraternal Order of Eagles

02:04as our advocacy project

02:07to help our country

02:10and all the Filipinos in our country.

02:13The leadership of Oranbo Elementary School

02:16thanked OPAPA for their first visit this year.

02:19We are so happy that we were chosen.

02:23We were informed that we are the first beneficiaries for this year.

02:29And this is of course...

02:38...the malnutrition of children.

02:40A healthy and full child is also one of the priority projects
