00:13In 2016, Moreto Delgado Jr. started teaching special education

00:18at Dumot Elementary School in Cavinti, Laguna.

00:21Here, he also became the coach of the school's para-athletics team.

00:25His passion for helping and teaching young people with special needs is also abundant.

00:30In the PTV Sports interview with Moreto,

00:32he shared the inspiration given by the para-athletes to their teammates

00:37who have the same situation.

00:39I have a passion because I saw that there are a lot of people

00:44or there are a lot of special needs education that are needed by people like us.

00:50For me, teaching is not just teaching.

00:53It's not just a profession.

00:55For me, teaching is a calling.

00:57It's not just about their difficulties so that they can achieve their dreams.

01:03At the same time, they are pushing each other to continue the fight.

01:07Whatever happens, they will do it.

01:11Win or lose, they will continue.

01:14Moreto also admitted that it's not easy to teach students with special needs.

01:19That's why they continue their training whenever there's a competition.

01:23He says this is a motivation for coaches like him

01:27to continue sharing their knowledge in the field of sports.

01:31If the child is successful, we are also successful.

01:34It feels good to see that the children you teach are successful.

01:40They are successful in life because you are part of their needs.

01:47At present, Moreto is training six para-athletes from the school.

01:53Meanwhile, Moreto also gave advice to para-athletes, parents,

02:01Disability is not an excuse to achieve your dreams.
