00:10prepare you as the painting and presentation.
00:13This locomotive first arrived at Albin Park in the Illawarra in 1973 and it came here
00:18in 1976.
00:19The boiler was restored, the locomotive was restored, so in 1987 the locomotive was in
00:26service here.
00:28Going forward to about 2015, the locomotive had boiler problems and we had to rebuild
00:34the thing.
00:35So, after quite a few years of work, we now have Perry back in service for this Sunday,
00:41follow its journey from my island in South Australia right to Albin Park and it's a day
00:46that everybody will enjoy.
00:49Hi, I'm Carolyn, I'm the Chairperson here at Illawarra Light Railway.
00:53When they came to me and said that the boiler needed work, it was my job to go and find
00:58the funding, which Transport Heritage came along with two grants and then we did running
01:05days to build the rest of the money that we required.
01:09This is the only Australian built Perry that is running in Australia at this time and I'm
01:15very proud of the teamwork that has got this day together and very proud to be the Chairperson
01:22here.
