00:00March is quickly approaching, and that can only mean one thing, March Madness.
00:04If you haven't been paying attention, no worries, I got you.
00:06Here's a quick explainer of what's been going on this college basketball season.
00:10The SEC looks like it's on top of the college basketball landscape,
00:13owning four of the top six spots in the latest AP pool.
00:16Right now, it looks like the best team in the country and a probable number one overall seat
00:20is going to be Auburn, with forward Johnny Broom leading the Tigers in pretty much every
00:23statistical category. Cooper Flagg has Duke playing as the number two team in the country,
00:28and Rick Pitino has turned St. John into the best team in the Big East and possible national
00:32contenders. Houston's defense is once again suffocating, holding opponents to just 57.7
00:37points per game, the best in the country. For the first time in four years, the Kansas Jayhawks
00:42have fallen out of the top 25, as they've lost five of the last 10. The Boilermakers have hit
00:47a rough patch losing four in a row and are looking primed to be a classic 4-13 upset.
00:51And while Alabama might be the highest scoring offense in the country, they also give up more
00:55points than any other major program, which could spell problems for them come March. Everyone's
01:00favorite double-digit upset this year will be the Drake Bulldogs and their third-ranked defense in
01:04the country, making it to the Sweet 16. Maryland, who are currently projected to be a five-seat,
01:09could be a team that can make a run with their 10th-best scoring offense. And Penny Hardaway's
01:13Memphis could be a dark horse team to make it deep in this tournament, led by P.J. Haggerty
01:17in his 21.3 points per game.
