NT government hires private security company to help staff correctional facilities

Record high numbers of prisoners are being squeezed into overflowing correctional facilities across the Northern Territory, with nearly half of all inmates still awaiting trial. To ease pressures on corrections and police, the NT government has signed a contract with a global security company just weeks after passing emergency legislation.
