05:14Howdy, guys.
05:15How are you?
05:15Good to see you too.
05:20Just a breath of fresh air every once in a while.
05:22Feels good.
05:24Today is Friday.
05:25I'm not on the road this weekend.
05:26Perfect.
05:27I'm taking my baby to aquatata swim school for his swim class.
05:31Wow.
05:32Yes, he's in the tadpole level one.
05:34All right, guys.
05:35cameras is down first.
05:36Reporters hold for a second.
05:39The President Hi, General.
06:09Well, thank you very much.
06:32It's an honor to have President Zelensky of Ukraine, and we've been working very hard,
06:39very close.
06:40So we've actually known each other for a long time.
06:41We've been dealing with each other for a long time and very well.
06:45We had little negotiations, but that worked out great, I think, for both countries.
06:51I think for the world, actually, beyond both countries.
06:55And we have something that is a very fair deal.
06:59And we look forward to getting in and digging, digging, digging, and working and getting
07:04some of the rare earth.
07:06But it means we're going to be inside, and it's a big commitment from the United States.
07:11And we appreciate working with you very much.
07:15And we will continue to do that.
07:17We have had some very good discussions with Russia.
07:20I spoke with President Putin, and we're going to try and bring this to a close.
07:25It's something that you want and that he wants.
07:27We have to negotiate a deal.
07:29But we've started the confines of a deal, and I think something can happen.
07:35The big thing is the number of soldiers, mostly at this point, but soldiers being killed.
07:41They're losing thousands of soldiers.
07:43On both sides, we're losing a lot of soldiers.
07:45And we want to see it stop.
07:48And we want to see the money get put to different kinds of use, like rebuilding, the rebuilding.
07:53And we're going to be working very hard.
07:56But we've had a lot of very good conversations.
07:58I will say, until we came along, the Biden administration didn't speak to Russia whatsoever.
08:03They didn't speak to anybody.
08:05They just allowed this to continue.
08:08And I will say that — I'll say in front of you, you've heard me say it a thousand times.
08:14If I were President, this war would have never happened.
08:16We would have had a deal negotiated for you without having to go through what you've gone through.
08:22But you — your soldiers have been unbelievably brave.
08:25We've given them great equipment, but they've — somebody has to use the equipment.
08:28They've been unbelievably brave.
08:31And we give them great credit.
08:33This was supposed to be over very quickly, and here we are three years later.
08:39So I give tremendous credit to your generals and your soldiers and yourself, in the sense
08:44that it's been very hard fighting, very tough fighting.
08:49They're great fighters.
08:51And you have to be very proud of them from that standpoint.
08:54But now we want to get it over with.
08:56It's enough.
08:57Right?
08:58We want to get it over with.
08:59So it's an honor to have you here.
09:01Thank you very much for coming.
09:03We're going to sign the agreement at the conference in the East Room in a little while, right
09:10after lunch.
09:12And we'll be having lunch together.
09:13We're also discussing some other things.
09:16And we appreciate everybody being here.
09:18It's somewhat of an exciting moment.
09:20But the really exciting moment is when we get a — when they stop the shooting and
09:24we end up with a deal.
09:26And I think we're fairly close to getting that.
09:28And an honor to have you.
09:30Mr. President, please, would you like to say something?
09:32No.
09:33Thank you so much, Mr. President.
09:35Thank you for the invitation.
09:37And really, I hope that this document, first document, will be a first step to real security
09:44guarantees for Ukraine, our people, our children.
09:47I really count on it.
09:49And of course, we count that America will not stop support.
09:52Really, for us, it's very important to support and to continue it.
09:57I want to discuss it with details further during our conversation and, of course, the
10:02infrastructure or security guarantees, because for today, I understand what Europe is ready
10:08to do.
10:09And of course, I want to discuss with you what United States will be ready to do.
10:13And I really count on your strong position to stop Putin.
10:18And you said that enough with the war.
10:20I think that it's very important, Ben, to say these words to Putin at the very beginning
10:26of war, because he is a killer and terrorist.
10:29But I hope that together we can stop him.
10:32But for us, it's very important to save our country, our values, our freedom and democracy.
10:40And of course, no compromises with the killer about our territories, but it will be later.
10:47And of course, I – what I wanted – you know we spoke about it by phone with you about
10:51the drones production.
10:53We have very good drones production.
10:54I think the best one in the world for today because of the war, yes.
10:59And of course, we need very much the air defense.
11:03You have the best air defense in the world, and really you helped us under attacks of
11:08Russians.
11:09And I want to speak how we can exchange the licenses.
11:12We are open to share the licenses of all our drones with you, of course, with the United
11:17States.
11:18And we need licenses for quick production of air defense.
11:21And after the war, we need our nation to be calm, that we are secure.
11:26So that's why we need this air shield.
11:29And of course, about this – I want to speak about the contingents.
11:33I think that France and UK already spoke to you, and we know that Europe is ready, but
11:39without United States, they will not be ready to be as strong as we need.
11:46And the last point, last but not least, about exchange, about our people and children.
11:52And you know that this crazy Russian, that they stolen 20,000 of children, Ukrainian
11:57children.
11:58They changed their names.
12:00They changed their families, relatives, and now they're in Russia.
12:05We want to bring them back, and really it's a big, big dream, task and goal for me and
12:12our warriors.
12:13We – by the way, Mr. President, we brought – we exchanged, we – yes, released more
12:19than 4,000 warriors from Russian prison, but there are thousands more in the prison.
12:26I wanted to share with you some images, how it's – just – can I now?
12:34Yeah, please.
12:35Please.
12:36One minute.
12:37One minute.
12:38I just you to understand what – in what circumstances, in what situation they are,
12:43and what the attitude of Russia to our prisoners.
12:46That guys, just you before, before and after, and you see before and after, just you to
12:53understand.
12:54Now thousands of such guys, ladies and men, they are – and that, so they don't eat,
13:00they beat them and they do a lot of bad things.
13:08So out of – even during the war, there are rules.
13:11Everybody knows there are rules during the war.
13:14These guys, they don't have any rules.
13:16You see that 50, 60 kilograms left, and a lot of such things.
13:22And I didn't want to show you what the changes with images of children, because I will share
13:28– just share with you.
13:30I mean, it's looking tragic.
13:32Yeah, that's tough stuff.
13:34Yeah, I wanted very much to give you, and you see – this is pastor, by the way.
13:41They stolen pastors, because it's not Russian church.
13:44They stolen pastors and moved pastors to the prison.
13:48We – at the end of last year, we brought three pastors, and we could exchange them.
13:56This is pastor, you see.
13:58Yeah, that's tough.
14:00So I mean, this I wanted to show you, and – yes.
14:04So thank you very much.
14:05We want to get that in.
14:06Right?
14:07Yeah, yeah, of course.
14:08We, of course, we will.
14:09I think we will.
14:10I think we will.
14:11And – We have to, of course.
14:12Do you have any questions, please?
14:13Will you continue to ask the President –
14:14Go ahead, please.
14:15Thank you, Mr. President.
14:16With the – how much money is the U.S. going to put into the fund that is being created
14:17today?
14:18And how does this provide long-term security for Ukraine?
14:19Well, we don't know exactly how much, because we're going to be putting some money in a
14:30fund that we're going to get from the raw earth that we're going to be taking and sharing
14:36in terms of revenue.
14:37So it's going to be a lot of money will be made from the sale and from the use of raw
14:41earth.
14:42And as you know, our country doesn't have much raw earth.
14:45We have a lot of oil and gas, but we don't have a lot of the raw earth.
14:51And what we do have is protected by the environmentalists, but that could be unprotected.
14:55But still, it's not very much.
14:58They have among the best in the world in terms of raw earth.
15:02So we're going to be using that, taking it, using it for all of the things we do, including
15:08AI and including weapons and the military, and it's really going to very much satisfy
15:14our needs.
15:15So it's something that just worked out really well.
15:18We have a lot of oil and we have a lot of gas.
15:20We have a lot, but we don't have raw earth.
15:22So this this has just about every component of the raw earth that we need for computers,
15:28for all of the things we do.
15:30This puts us in great shape.
15:34I think they're going to have great luck.
15:36I think once we make the agreement, that's going to be 95 percent of it.
15:39It's not going to go back to fighting.
15:42I've spoken with President Putin, and I think I mean, I feel very strong.
15:47I've known him for a long time, and I feel very strongly that they're very serious about
15:52it and we'll make a deal.
15:54And when the deal is made, I don't think we talk about security.
15:58Everyone's talking about the other day.
15:59All they talked about was security.
16:00I said, let me make the deal first.
16:02I have to make the deal first.
16:04I don't worry about security right now.
16:05I have to we have to have a deal, because right now, last week, 2000 soldiers died on
16:10both sides, 2000, and they're losing a thousand, two thousand, three thousand a week.
16:17So as we sit here and we talk, people are getting shot and dying on the battlefield.
16:22And you know, they're not American soldiers, but they're Russian soldiers and the Ukrainian
16:27soldiers.
16:28And we want to be able to stop it.
16:30And we want to be able also to spend money on other things.
16:33We don't want to.
16:34This is a tremendous amount of money.
16:35And what the Biden administration did was terrible.
16:39They were giving money, but he had no security on the money.
16:42Europe, as you know, gave much less money, but they had security.
16:45It was in the form of a loan.
16:47They get their money back.
16:48And we didn't.
16:49And now at least we're protected because the American taxpayer has to be protected, too.
16:54But this is an incredible agreement for Ukraine, because we have a big investment in their
17:02country now.
17:03And what what they have, very few people have.
17:07And we're able to really go forward with very, very high tech things and many other things,
17:13including weaponry, weaponry that we're going to use in many locations, but that we need
17:18for our country.
17:20This allows this allows us to do that.
17:22Will you continue?
17:23Will you continue?
17:24I'm sorry.
17:25I'm sorry.
17:26Can I get a military aid?
17:27Yes.
17:28Go ahead, please.
17:29Yeah.
17:30Again, just.
17:31Yes.
17:32In the document, there is one of the very important points.
17:34It will speak about business and investment.
17:37We never had LNG terminals in Ukraine.
17:41This document will open.
17:42I mean, the next document.
17:43But anyway, here.
17:44President Zelensky, do you feel like the U.S. is on your side, that the president, the president's
17:51Trump is on your side at this at this moment?
17:58What do you think?
17:59He wants to know.
18:00Do you think that sort of a stupid question, because I guess I guess we wouldn't be here
18:05if I wasn't.
18:07I think that I think that the United States on our side from the very beginning of occupation.
18:14And I think that President Trump on our side and and of course, I'm not whole.
18:20I'm sure that the United States president will not stop support.
18:24This is crucial for us.
18:25It's important for us.
18:27Yes.
18:28And Putin, the president speaks about the people and the soldiers which are dying.
18:32But they came to our territory.
18:33They came to our land.
18:35They began this war and they have to stop.
18:38And I think this is the question was really the most important question.
18:44Can President Trump, I hope, yes, with some other allies to stop Putin, withdraw these
18:50enemies, our enemies, withdraw these troops from our land.
18:55And I think that you asked about the history.
18:58I think that if president or when he will stop Putin, if President Trump will bring
19:04peace to our country, I think he will be on this wall.
19:09We've had very, very good talks.
19:11Mr. President, Mr. President, Mr. President, Mr. President, Mr. President, Mr. President,
19:18President Zelensky just said that there'd be no compromises with Vladimir Putin.
19:24I just wanted to ask both of you, firstly, are there compromises that you think that
19:28President Zelensky is going to have to make President Zelensky?
19:31Is there anything that you might be thinking that you may be able to offer or bring to
19:34the table?
19:35For example, elections.
19:37I think you're going to have to always make compromises.
19:40You can't do any deals without compromises.
19:42So certainly he's going to have to make some compromises, but hopefully they won't be as
19:47big as some people think you're going to have to make.
19:49So it's all we can do.
19:50I'm here as a, as an arbitrator, as a mediator, to a certain extent between two parties that
19:56have been very hostile, to put it mildly, they've been very hostile.
20:00There's, there's been a vicious war.
20:02There's been a vicious war.
20:04You know, it's a very level battlefield and those bullets go out.
20:07And as I've said many times, we were talking about it with Pete.
20:11Many times, the only thing stopping those bullets is a human body.
20:15And in the case we're talking about, generally young human bodies are stopping a lot of bullets.
20:20It's dead level.
20:21That's what, why it's great farmland.
20:23It's great land.
20:24It's great farmland.
20:25But there's very little protection against the bullets that are being, and other things
20:29that are being shot.
20:31So all I can do is see if I can get everybody at the table and get an agreement.
20:37And I think we're going to end up with an agreement, otherwise I wouldn't probably be
20:40even here today.
20:41Mr. President, I've got two questions for you.
20:42Do you think ultimately your legacy will be the peacemaker and not the president that
20:43led this country into another war and ended foreign wars?
20:44I've got a question.
20:45I hope it will.
20:46I mean, I hope I'm going to be remembered as a peacemaker.
21:04This is, this would be a great thing if we could do this.
21:06I'm doing this to save lives more than anything else.
21:10Second is to save a lot of money, but I consider that to be far less important.
21:14So I hope I'm going to.
21:15Thank you, Brian, for that question.
21:16It was a nice question.
21:18I hope I'll be known and recognized as a peacemaker.
21:21This, this would be a great thing to solve.
21:23This is a very dangerous situation.
21:26You know, this could lead to a third world war.
21:28This is, this was headed in the wrong direction.
21:32If this election were lost, if we didn't win this election, and by the way, we won it by
21:36a lot.
21:37That was a mandate.
21:38We won every swing state.
21:39We won the popular vote by millions and millions of votes.
21:43We won everything.
21:44The districts, you look at the areas of red, take a look at a map.
21:49This was a big mandate.
21:50And this was one of the things I said, we're going to get this thing settled.
21:56If we didn't win, I think this would have, this could have very well ended up in a third
21:59world war.
22:00And that would not, that would not have been a good situation.
22:04What was your second question?
22:05My second question for President Zelensky.
22:06Do you ever, why don't you wear a suit?
22:07Why don't you wear a suit?
22:08There's a high level in this country's office, and you refuse to wear a suit, and it's too
22:15warm.
22:16Do you own a suit?
22:17Yeah.
22:18Yeah, I have problems.
22:19A lot of Americans have problems with the United States.
22:20Really?
22:21I don't have such.
22:22I will wear a costume after this war will finish.
22:23Okay.
22:24Yes.
22:25Maybe.
22:26Maybe something like yours.
22:27Yes.
22:28Maybe something better.
22:29I don't know.
22:30We will see.
22:31Maybe something better.
22:32Okay.
22:36You say, Mr. President, are you going to send more arms to Ukraine in case there's no peace?
22:48Yeah, we're going to have arms to Ukraine.
22:53Yeah, sure.
22:54Hopefully, I won't have to send very much because hopefully we're going to have it finished.
22:57We're looking forward to finishing this quickly.
23:00Uh, we're not looking forward to sending a lot of arms.
23:04We're looking forward to getting the war finished so we can do other things.
23:08But we very much appreciate the agreement because we needed what they had.
23:13And we're treating, you know, our country is now treated fairly.
23:17Biden didn't do that.
23:18Biden didn't.
23:19He didn't know what the hell he was doing.
23:20This should have never happened.
23:21This should have never started.
23:23But you know, sure, the answer is yes.
23:26But hopefully we won't have to send much because I'm looking forward to get it done, getting
23:31it done quickly, very quickly.
23:37I don't want to talk about security yet because I want to get the deal done.
23:40You know, you fall into the same trap like everybody else a million times, you said over
23:44and over.
23:45I want to get the deal done.
23:47Security is so easy.
23:48That's about 2% of the problem.
23:50I'm not worried about security.
23:52I'm worried about getting the deal done.
23:54The security is the easy part.
23:56Security is very nice.
23:57Everybody stops shooting.
23:59And now with Europe put people there.
24:01I know France is going to.
24:02I know the UK is going to.
24:04I know other countries are going to and they happen to be right next door.
24:08We haven't committed, but we could conceivably, you know, we have security in a different
24:12form.
24:13We'll have workers.
24:14They're digging, digging, digging, taking the raw earth so that we can create a lot
24:19of great product in this country.
24:22So in that sense, you have something.
24:24But we haven't determined that yet.
24:25I will say in speaking to France and in speaking to and they were here, as you know, last week
24:31and just the other day, they have committed to a lot of security.
24:37I don't think you're going to need much security.
24:39I think once this deal gets done, it's over.
24:42Russia is not going to want to go back and nobody's going to want to go back when this
24:46when this deal ends.
24:47I really believe this deal is is going to be over.
24:50I will.
24:51Yeah.
24:52Please go ahead.
24:54Go ahead.
24:56I am.
24:57You're starting at the White House this past week.
24:58Both praised your courage and conviction to lead the pathway towards peace.
25:02Yes.
25:03Part of that involved the re-engaging with Russia in diplomatic relations, something
25:07that previous leaders lacked the conviction to do so.
25:10What gave you the moral courage and conviction to step forward and lead that?
25:13Well, I love this guy.
25:14Who are you with?
25:15One American News, sir.
25:16Well, that's why I like him.
25:19One American News does a great job.
25:21That's very I like the question.
25:22I think it's a very good question.
25:24It is.
25:25It's a pathway to peace.
25:27It's a pathway to getting something solved.
25:30And I feel that as the head of this country, I have an obligation to do that.
25:34Plus, you know, we're very much involved.
25:36We got involved.
25:39It's too bad we got involved because there should have been no involvement because there
25:41should have been no war and there shouldn't have been October 7th.
25:45That would have never happened.
25:46As you know, Iran was broke.
25:48They had no money to give to Hezbollah.
25:50They had no money to give to Hamas.
25:52They were stone cold broke.
25:55And then under Biden, they became rich as hell.
25:58They went from no money to three hundred billion dollars in a period of four years.
26:05And they gave a lot of that money away.
26:06And you see what happened.
26:07And that's a real mess also that we hope to be able to solve.
26:12But I appreciate your question very much.
26:15I just I feel I have an obligation to try and do something to stop the death.
26:21If I can, if I can answer, yes, if I can answer, sorry, please, please.
26:26And I do like your clothing.
26:27Yeah.
26:28Really?
26:29Even I have to.
26:30I think he's a great guy, by the way.
26:32I don't know if you two like each other, but you know what?
26:35I think I like this guy.
26:38I think he's dressed beautifully.
26:39So I have more.
26:40I have more serious things than answer on such questions.
26:44I will answer on more serious questions if I can.
26:47Yeah.
26:48My question is about security guarantees and about just ceasefire.
26:52We can't just speak about ceasefire and speak and speak will not work.
26:57Justicefire will not never work because I'm like a president.
27:01I have I have this experience and not only me Ukraine before before my presidency from
27:07the 2014 Putin broken twenty five times, twenty five times he broken his own signature twenty
27:17five times.
27:18He broke his fire.
27:19But he never wrote to me.
27:20It never broke.
27:21No, no.
27:22You were the president.
27:23You were the president.
27:24You never broke him in 2016.
27:26You will be in the president, Mr. Mr. President, you've been the president.
27:29But he he had, of course, not with you.
27:32But he had during those period he had conversations with our side and we had Normandy for format,
27:38you know, the France, Germany, Ukraine and Russia.
27:41And he broken twenty five times.
27:43That's why we will never accept just ceasefire.
27:47It will not work without security guarantees.
27:50Security guarantees.
27:51Maybe the president is right about this document and other.
27:54But this document is not enough.
27:56Strong army is enough because he soldiers afraid Putin soldiers, afraid of our soldiers
28:01when we're strong enough.
28:02You were not strong, strong enough.
28:04We are empty.
28:06If our storage is empty, we can't defend our our land today.
28:10You know, he knows that we have me.
28:13All the world knows that we have meeting.
28:14Yes.
28:15Putin is using ballistic.
28:16Putin today using ballistic on our hospitals, schools and it says ballistic.
28:22So he knows that we are here and that President Trump is really have goodwill to stop to stop
28:28this war.
28:30And I and you hear now the president.
28:32So why he's using so he doesn't want to stop.
28:35He doesn't want.
28:36But I hope that we will do it really will do it.
28:39Security when we speak about security guarantees, when the Europeans are ready for contingence,
28:44they need USA backstop.
28:48If there will not be United States, we will not never have any contingent strong contingent
28:53from the Europeans because they don't want to divide alliance connection between the
28:58United States and the main and strongest ally and Europeans.
29:03This is crucial.
29:04This is important.
29:05That's what we want to speak about very much.
29:08This is very important.
29:09And they are defense.
29:12So air defense, really, we have big deficit with all the systems and we need to provide
29:17this.
29:18We need it very much.
29:20Otherwise, Putin will never stop and will go further and further.
29:24He doesn't want.
29:25He hate us.
29:26You know, it's not about me.
29:28He hate Ukrainians.
29:29He thinks that we are not a nation.
29:32He thinks and he shared this source.
29:33I think maybe with your team also.
29:35I don't know.
29:36With all the Europeans in media, officially and not, he always said that there is no such
29:42country, such nation, such language and such life like Ukrainian.
29:47No.
29:48He really doesn't respect all the Ukrainians and he wants destroy us.
29:54And you are right, Mr. President, that's 2 percent.
30:00This document, maybe other documents, it's very good start, very good, but it will not
30:05enough to stop this person.
30:08Mr. President, may I have one more question, please?
30:14They have to pay.
30:15This is the rule.
30:16This is the rule of the war.
30:17This is the rule of the war.
30:20During all the centuries, all the history, this is the rule of the war.
30:23Who began those pay.
30:27This is the rule.
30:28Putin began this war.
30:29He has to pay all money for innovation.
30:32He has to pay.
30:33Of course, some Russian assets, what we have in Europe, about 300 billion, we can use them.
30:41We can use for innovation and buy military support from the United States also.
30:45We can do it.
30:46But it's not enough.
30:47It's not enough.
30:48Mr. President, I ask this question that you didn't like, because I wanted to know.
30:54Go ahead, please.
30:55Wait one second.
30:56I ask this question that you didn't like, because I wanted to know if you want to position
31:01yourself in the middle between Russia and Ukraine or on the Ukraine side.
31:06No, I'm in the middle.
31:07I want to solve this thing.
31:08I'm for I'm for both.
31:10I want to get it solved.
31:12And it's wonderful to speak badly about somebody else.
31:17But I want to get it solved.
31:19If we can solve it, great.
31:20If we can't solve it, they're going to have to fight it out.
31:23And who knows what's going to happen.
31:25But I want to see it get solved.
31:27May I follow up with one more question about U.S. troops in Europe?
31:31After Russian invasion of Ukraine, your predecessor sent additional troops to Eastern Europe,
31:38including Poland, my country.
31:40Yeah.
31:41Are you committed to keeping these troops on the eastern flank of NATO in the future?
31:49I'm very committed to Poland.
31:51I think Poland has really stepped up and done a great job for NATO.
31:55As you know, they paid more than they had to.
31:58They are one of the finest groups of people I've ever known.
32:02I'm very committed to Poland.
32:05Poland's in a tough neighborhood.
32:06You know, what about the Baltics?
32:09The Baltics.
32:10They got a lot of it.
32:13It's a tough neighborhood, too.
32:14But we're committed.
32:15We're going to be very committed and we're committed to NATO.
32:19But NATO has to step up and the Europeans have to step up more than they have.
32:23And I want to see them equalize because they are in for far less than we're in.
32:27And they should be at least equal.
32:30You understand that.
32:31Why is the United States, we have an ocean in between.
32:34Why is the United States in for so much more money and other things as Europe?
32:39With that being said, and as you said, they've also been obviously very helpful.
32:44But we have put in far more than they have.
32:47And I think they should equalize.
32:48Yeah, please go ahead.
32:59We made a deal.
33:01I'm just, I'm a business person.
33:04We made a deal.
33:05That's what changed.
33:07I didn't think we were going to make a deal.
33:10And we ended up making the deal.
33:12So that changed.
33:17I don't know, but it's, well, they don't like each other.
33:19I can tell you that they do not like each other.
33:23This is not a love match and it's unfortunate.
33:26That's why you're in this situation.
33:29The United States should not have allowed this to happen.
33:33Okay.
33:34The United States run by a man that didn't know much, I'm going to be very nice, run
33:41by an incompetent person, very incompetent person should never have allowed this to happen.
33:48I've stopped wars.
33:49I've stopped many wars.
33:50My people will tell you, I stopped wars that nobody ever heard about.
33:53I stopped wars before they ever started.
33:56You can look at some of the, some of, I could give you a lot of nations that would tell
34:00you right now they were probably going to war.
34:02I could tell you right now there's a nation thinking about going to war on something that
34:07nobody in this room has ever even heard about.
34:10Two smaller nations, but big, still big.
34:13And I've, I think I've stopped it, but this should have never happened.
34:18About, uh, sorry, just a second, uh, about the, any negotiations that, first of all,
34:25I want, I want really to tell you, and I think that everybody understand that Ukraine, more
34:31than Ukrainians, nobody wants to stop this war, but that the future, any negotiations,
34:37it's understandable that two sides of the war, not Russia and the United States, because
34:44this is not the war between Russia and the United States.
34:47This is war of Russia against Ukraine and Ukrainian people.
34:51So these two sides will be at the, anyway, will be at the negotiation, a negotiation
34:57table.
34:58Then, of course, United States, like the strongest partner of the Ukraine.
35:04And of course, Europe.
35:05I think Europe is very important.
35:07I want to speak about it with the President.
35:09Yes, Europe is very important for us, because we really defend Europe for today.
35:14All Europeans really recognize that we are defending the line, and they have real life,
35:21and our people are dying.
35:22That's why they helped us.
35:25And also, it's about the need, yes, between, like the President said, you have big, nice
35:31ocean, yes, between us.
35:34But if we will not stay, Russia will go further to Baltics and to Poland, by the way, but
35:40first to the Baltics.
35:41It's understandable for them, because they've been in the USSR.
35:47You know, they've been one of the republics of the USSR, and Putin wants to bring them
35:52back to his empire.
35:54It's a fact.
35:55And when he will go there, if we will not stay, you will fight, your American soldiers.
36:01It doesn't matter.
36:02Do you have ocean or not?
36:04Your soldiers will fight.
36:05Mr. President, what if you wanted to visit Ukraine, the Kiev or Odessa, which is known
36:10to be a very hero place?
36:11It was my question.
36:12Yes.
36:13I'm sorry.
36:14I don't want to talk about Odessa now.
36:17Let's not talk about Odessa.
36:18I want to talk about making a deal, getting peace.
36:21We don't have to talk about Odessa.
36:24But a lot of cities have been destroyed.
36:25There are a lot of cities that are not recognizable.
36:29There's not a building standing.
36:31You have to come and look.
36:34No, no, no.
36:35We have very good cities.
36:37Yes, a lot of things have been destroyed, but mostly cities are alive, and people work,
36:43and children go to school.
36:45Sometimes it's very difficult.
36:46Sometimes closer to the front line, children have to go to underground schools or online.
36:52But we live.
36:54Ukraine is fighting, and Ukraine lives.
36:56This is very important.
36:58Maybe it's Putin who's sharing this information that he destroyed us.
37:02He lost 700,000 people, 700,000 soldiers.
37:07He lost everything.
37:08Yes.
37:09Mr. President, when did you last speak with President Putin, and what did he say that
37:18gave you the assurance that he wanted peace?
37:23Well, that's what I do.
37:24My whole life is deals.
37:25I know pretty good.
37:28I've known him for a long time.
37:30I've dealt with him for a long time.
37:33He had to suffer through the Russia hoax.
37:35You know, Russia, Russia, Russia was a hoax.
37:38It was all Biden.
37:39It was nothing to do with him.
37:40So he had to suffer through that, and he was able to do that.
37:44I think that he wants to make a deal, and he'd like to see it end.
37:48It's all I do.
37:50That's what I do.
37:51My whole life, that's what I do, is make deals.
37:53I'm in the middle of a mess, because this is a real mess.
37:57It's a very dangerous one.
37:59If this doesn't get solved now, it's not going to get solved for a long time.
38:03So I hope we're going to get it solved.
38:06In the back, please.
38:07Thank you, Mr. President.
38:08Prime Minister Stormer claimed repeatedly that his government believes free speech and
38:09is not engaged in censorship.
38:10But essentially, his government arrests people for memes and thought crimes, and even more
38:11worrisome is pressuring American companies to censor Americans on its behalf.
38:12How can you be a reliable, trustworthy partner to President Putin?
38:13Well, we actually spoke to him about that yesterday, and we thought they took it very
38:35much too far.
38:36J.D. was very strong on it.
38:39So was I.
38:41So was Marco.
38:42So we've been speaking to him about it.
38:43Marco, would you like to say something about it?
38:46We have concerns, obviously, with the conduct of various, particularly as it impacts Americans.
38:49And there's real concern that American speech, which is online, could fall into the hands
38:50of the British or any country's jurisdiction.
38:51And so this is a point the Vice President made in Munich, and I think it's a very compelling
38:52one, that unites us with Europe, as much as anything else, is these shared values,
38:53and one of them being free speech.
38:54And so if Americans are threatened by it, we're going to need to take action in that
38:55regard.
38:56J.D.
44:03He occupied it, our parts, big parts of Ukraine,
44:07part of east and Crimea, so he occupied it in 2014.
44:14So during a lot of years, I'm not speaking about
44:19Biden, but those time was Obama, then President Obama,
44:23then President Trump, then President Biden,
44:26President Trump, and God bless, now President Trump will stop him.
44:30But during 2014, nobody stopped him.
44:33He just occupied and took.
44:35He killed people.
44:36You know what the contact line-
44:372015.
44:382014.
44:392014.
44:40Well, 2014.
44:41Yeah, yeah.
44:42So, he killed-
44:43I was not here.
44:44Yeah, but-
44:45That's exactly right.
44:46Yes, but during 2014 till 2022, the situation the same.
44:52People have been dying on the contact line.
44:55Nobody stopped him.
44:56You know that we had conversations with him, a lot of conversation, my bilateral conversation,
45:02and we signed with him, me, like a new president in 2019, I signed with him the deal.
45:09I signed with him, Macron and Merkel, we signed ceasefire.
45:14Ceasefire.
45:15All of them told me that he will never go.
45:19We signed him gas contract.
45:22Gas contract.
45:23Yes, but after that, he broken the ceasefire.
45:27He killed our people, and he didn't exchange prisoners.
45:30We signed the exchange of prisoners, but he didn't do it.
45:35What kind of diplomacy, J.D., you are speaking about?
45:38What do you mean?
45:40I'm talking about the kind of diplomacy that's going to end the destruction of your country.
45:44Yes, but if you are not-
45:45Mr. President, Mr. President, with respect, I think it's disrespectful for you to come
45:48to the Oval Office and try to litigate this in front of the American media.
45:51Right now, you guys are going around and forcing conscripts to the front lines because
45:55you have manpower problems.
45:57You should be thanking the president for trying to bring an end to this conflict.
46:00Have you ever been to Ukraine that you say what problems we have?
46:04I have been to-
46:05Come once.
46:06I have actually watched and seen the stories, and I know what happens is you bring people,
46:12you bring them on a propaganda tour, Mr. President.
46:15Do you disagree that you've had problems bringing people into your military?
46:19We have problems.
46:20And do you think that it's respectful?
46:21I will answer.
46:22I will answer.
46:23To come to the Oval Office of the United States of America and attack the administration that
46:25is trying to prevent the destruction of your country.
46:28A lot of questions.
46:29Let's start from the beginning.
46:31Sure.
46:32First of all, during the war, everybody has problems, even you, but you have nice ocean
46:37and don't feel now, but you will feel it in the future.
46:41God bless.
46:42You don't know that.
46:43God bless.
46:44You don't know that.
46:45God bless.
46:46You will not have a war.
46:47Don't tell us what we're going to feel.
46:48We're trying to solve a problem.
46:49Don't tell us what we're going to feel.
46:51I'm not telling you.
46:52Because you're in no position to dictate that.
46:53Remember this.
46:54I'm not.
46:55You're in no position to dictate what we're going to feel.
46:59You will.
47:00We're going to feel very good.
47:01You will feel influence.
47:02We're going to feel very good and very strong.
47:03I'm telling you.
47:04You will feel influence.
47:05You're right now not in a very good position.
47:07You've allowed yourself to be in a very bad position.
47:09From the very beginning of the war.
47:10And he happens to be right about it.
47:11From the very beginning of the war, Mr. Reinhart, I was, I was in it.
47:13You're not in a good position.
47:14You don't have the cards right now.
47:17With us, you start having cards.
47:18I'm not playing cards.
47:19Right now, you don't, you're playing cards.
47:20I'm very serious, Mr. President.
47:21You're playing cards.
47:22I'm very serious.
47:23You're gambling with the lives of millions of people.
47:24I'm the President of the world.
47:25You're gambling with World War III.
47:26What do you think about?
47:27You're gambling with World War III.
47:28And what you're doing is very disrespectful to the country, this country.
47:29I'm with all respect to you.
47:30It's back to you.
47:31Far more than a lot of people said they should have.
47:32I'm wearing respect.
47:33Have you said thank you once?
47:34A lot of times.
47:35No.
47:36Even today.
47:37Even today.
47:38In this entire meeting that you said thank you, you went to Pennsylvania and campaigned
47:39for the opposition in October.
47:40You went to Pennsylvania and campaigned for the opposition in October.
47:42What are you speaking about?
47:53Please, you think that if you will speak very loudly about the war ...
48:02He's not speaking loudly.
48:03He's not speaking loudly.
48:04Your country is in big trouble.
48:05Can I answer ...
48:06No, no, we've done a lot of talking.
48:07Your country is in big trouble.
48:08of talking. Your country is in big trouble. I know. You're not winning. You're not winning this.
48:14You have a damn good chance of coming out okay because of us. Mr. President, we are staying in
48:19our country, staying strong from the very beginning of the war. We've been alone,
48:23and we are thankful. I said thanks in this cabinet. You haven't been alone. We gave you,
48:28through this stupid president, $350 billion. We gave you military equipment, and you men are brave,
48:36but they had to use our military. If you didn't have our military equipment,
48:43this war would have been over in two weeks. In three days. I heard it from Putin. In three days.
48:49This is something new. Maybe less. In two weeks. Of course, yes. It's going to be a very hard thing
48:53to do business like this, I tell you. Just say thank you. I said a lot of times thank you to
48:59American people. Except that there are disagreements, and let's go litigate those
49:03disagreements rather than trying to fight it out in the American media when you're wrong.
49:08We know that you're wrong. But you see, I think it's good for the American people to
49:11see what's going on here. I think it's very important. That's why I kept this going so long.
49:17You have to be thankful. You don't have the cards. I'm thankful. You're buried there.
49:22People are dying. I can tell you. You're running low on soldiers. I know. Don't, please. You're
49:26running low on soldiers. It would be a damn good thing. Then you tell us, I don't want to cease
49:31fire. I don't want to cease fire. I want to go, and I wanted this. Look, if you could get a cease
49:38fire right now, I'd tell you, you take it so the bullets stop flying and your men stop getting
49:42killed. Of course we want to stop the war. But you're saying you don't want to cease fire.
49:46I want a cease fire. With guarantees. Because you'll get a cease fire faster than a degree.
49:50Ask our people about cease fire, what they think. It doesn't matter for you what it means.
49:54That wasn't with me. That was with a guy named Biden, who is not a smart person.
50:00That was your, that was with Obama. It was your president. Excuse me. That was with Obama,
50:04who gave you sheets and I gave you javelins. Yes, I gave you the javelins to take out all those tanks.
50:10Obama gave you sheets. In fact, the statement is Obama gave sheets and Trump gave javelins.
50:18You got to be more thankful because let me tell you, you don't have the cards
50:23with us. You have the cards, but without us, you don't have any cards.
50:30That'd be a tough deal to make because the attitudes have to change.
50:44What are you saying? She's asking what if Russia breaks the ceasefire?
50:49What if they, what if anything, what if a bomb drops on your head right now?
50:54Okay. What if they broke it? I don't know. They broke it with Biden because Biden,
50:58they didn't respect him. They didn't respect Obama. They respect me. Let me tell you, Putin
51:04went through a hell of a lot with me. He went through a phony witch hunt where they used him
51:09and Russia, Russia, Russia, Russia. You ever hear of that deal? That was a phony, that was a phony
51:14Hunter Biden, Joe Biden scam, Hillary Clinton, shifty Adam Schiff. It was a Democrat scam.
51:23And he had to go through that. And he did go through it. We didn't end up in a war
51:27and he went through it. He was accused of all that stuff. He had nothing to do with it. It
51:31came out of Hunter Biden's bathroom. It came out of Hunter Biden's bedroom. It was disgusting.
51:39And then they said, Oh, Oh, the laptop from hell was made by Russia. The 51 agents,
51:47the whole thing was a scam. And he had to put up with that. He was being accused of all that stuff.
51:52All I can say is this, he might have broken deals with Obama and Bush, and he might have broken
51:59him with Biden. He did. Maybe, maybe he didn't. I don't know what happened, but he didn't break
52:03him with me. He wants to make a deal. I don't know if you can make a deal. The problem is
52:09I've empowered you to be a tough guy. And I don't think you'd be a tough guy without the United
52:15States. And your people are very brave, but you're either going to make a deal or we're out.
52:20And if we're out, you'll fight it out. I don't think it's going to be pretty,
52:24but you'll fight it out, but you don't have the cards. But once we signed that deal,
52:30you're in a much better position, but you're not acting at all thankful. And that's not a
52:35nice thing. I'll be honest. That's not a nice thing. All right. I think we've seen enough.
52:40What do you think? This is going to be great television. I will say that.
52:45All right. We'll see what we can do about putting it together. Thank you.
53:20Jay. Jay. Jay.
53:27Yeah, I'm sorry. No, you're good, brother. No, you're fine, buddy. I'm sorry if I messed you
53:32up. Who's that guy next to you? That big tall...
53:45Jay. Jay. Jay. Jay. Jay. Jay. Jay. Jay. Jay. Jay. Jay. Jay. Jay. Jay. Jay. Jay. Jay. Jay. Jay. Jay. Jay. Jay. Jay. Jay. Jay. Jay. Jay. Jay. Jay. Jay. Jay. Jay. Jay. Jay. Jay. Jay. Jay. Jay. Jay.
