00:00Hello everyone and welcome back to the next Disney vlog.
00:10Today is Tuesday the 28th of January, it's quarter to six in the evening, we are officially
00:16halfway through our trip and for the last two days we have been at Universal Studios.
00:22We had the most fun but you will see a bumper Universal Studios vlog towards the end of
00:28this series so in a few vlogs time we're actually going back to Universal at the end
00:33of our trip, we are going to be covering everything that you can do there, the different hotels
00:37you can stay in.
00:38Basically the reason we've shuffled our sort of schedule around and we didn't film a vlog
00:42over the last two days was just because my voice was completely gone, I felt so rough
00:48like in terms of my voice, my vocal cords and you can still hear I'm slightly husky
00:53and if you don't know I had the flu before we left, I went to the doctor, she cleared
00:57me and said I'm completely fine, I didn't need antibiotics, I wasn't ill anymore but
01:01because I coughed so much I basically lost my voice and it hasn't come back and it's
01:05been like three and a half almost four weeks so I'm doing everything I can but we both
01:09agreed that the best thing to do was just to rest my voice and not really talk as much
01:14as I could.
01:15I've had some hot honey and lemon, in Starbucks they have a drink called a medicine ball which
01:20has been really nice for my throat but I've gone through packets of strepsils, I've been
01:24doing everything I can, I'm feeling so much better and we've also had a really nice day
01:28today but to give you a little bit of a recap, once we finished at Universal Studios we popped
01:33to a Barnes and Noble store, if you don't know it's a bookstore basically like Waterstones
01:37in the UK, I really got into reading over the last couple of years and I was desperate
01:41to go so Benj was very patient, sat in the Starbucks while I browsed all the books.
01:46Last night we actually went for dinner at the Riviera, as some of you may know we're
01:50staying at Caribbean Beach so we are in building 24, Martinique, we are the closest building
01:55to the Riviera resort, we can literally walk there, we use their skyliner and we had the
02:01bolognese at their quick service, it was a meal credit and it came out in a like proper
02:06bowl which most quick service meals are in like you know plastic plates and whatever
02:11so it was really nice, it felt really fancy, it was so delicious and then today we went
02:16to the outlets and did a bit of shopping which was also really nice, there are two outlets
02:20to kind of choose from, one is closer to Universal, one's closer to Disney, the ones
02:25closest to Disney are called the Vineland outlets and the one nearest to Universal called
02:30the premium outlets and we went to the Vineland ones, we did the character warehouse, the
02:35Disney one which I never seem to really buy anything in there, every time I've been in
02:39there it's all been dated stuff that have like dates and years past like 2024 merch,
02:45Halloween, Christmasy things, there were a few cute bits, some nice bags and I loved
02:50browsing but I didn't buy anything in there, clothes wise we looked into other shops, Benji
02:54loves Hurley, Under Armour, Nike, Adidas so we did all those stores for him, he was very
02:58successful, we picked up some nice hoodies, tried on some jeans for him, he got a couple
03:02of tops, in Hurley he got like a really nice t-shirt for $10 so we were really successful,
03:06I bought some really boring things like socks in Skechers but then the most exciting things
03:11I bought a new handbag from Coach which I'm going to use this evening, I am going to do
03:14a little haul and show you everything I bought but I will give you an exclusive little look
03:19at my new handbag because I'm absolutely obsessed with it and I bought these earrings from Kate
03:23Spade, look how cute they are, they're little Minnie Mouse sparkly diamante ones, they were
03:28originally $60 and I got them for $30 so half price and I love them, I'm hoping you can
03:33really appreciate them, look at that.
03:34As you may also be able to tell I've got like more makeup on than usual and I've got a very
03:38lovely dress from Oliver Bonas, it's a long one with some like sparkly Havianas because
03:43we are heading to the Contemporary Resort to go to California Grill which is the restaurant
03:48on the top floor, I booked it for 7pm so that we can enjoy our meal and then watch Happily
03:54Ever After at 8pm, it's something I've wanted to do for years and as we are almost about
03:58to celebrate our first wedding anniversary and I recently just hit 100,000 followers
04:03on Instagram, we thought what better way to celebrate those things than a very special
04:07meal so we actually have a few date night dinners here, we've already done Gco as you
04:11may have seen in a previous vlog and also coming up we have Steakhouse 71 which is also
04:15in the Contemporary but tonight is the big special one so we're going to take you along
04:19for dinner at California Grill and then tomorrow we're having another full foodie day at Epcot.
04:24You look nice too, you look lovely, look at your shoes, you're so smart, I'm so excited
04:31to go on a date night with you.
04:33So what we're doing then is we're taking the bus to Magic Kingdom then the monorail to
04:37the Contemporary and then we're going all the way to the top floor, let's go.
04:40So we're a week in and we were both just saying that we've really warmed to Caribbean
04:44Beach because of the location of where we are specifically, I think we absolutely nailed
04:49it being in Martinique, that close to the Riviera has been a game changer hasn't it?
04:53Yeah, we've got two choices of directions we can go to for the mugs, two different restaurants
04:57we can eat at, quick service restaurants for the hotel, the room works.
05:01The room is fine, it doesn't have much theming because at Pop we had like mickeys on the
05:05back of the bed didn't we and stuff.
05:06To look at it it's nothing much but everything in it works.
05:09I'm liking it, would I rush to stay here again over Pop?
05:13I think next trip we book it will be Pop again, yeah.
05:16I think so, which is fascinating because this is a moderate over a value but staying at
05:21the moderate we've got the quick service dining plan included but if you stay at a value and
05:25you get the sort of basic dining plan you can upgrade.
05:28It'll be interesting to crunch the numbers and see what the difference in prices are.
05:33So we're obviously taking the bus this evening, so there's a Skyliner for Epcot and Hollywood
05:36Studios, bus for Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom.
05:39We could obviously get the Skyliner to Epcot, get the monorail from Epcot to Transport Hub,
05:48Transport Hub round to Contemporary but we thought this would be easier.
05:53And this is what the bus board looks like, so you can see the time in the top right and
05:57then it tells you, oh and it's changed, well there we go, it tells you when the next buses
06:02are.
06:03I absolutely love Magic Kingdom at night.
06:05These flowers smell amazing.
06:06Yeah, it smells of honey.
06:08So gorgeous and they're playing Pirates of the Caribbean.
06:18On the left is where the boat takes you to the Grand Floridian and the Polynesian across
06:22the lake and then here is the monorail.
06:25The Contemporary is the first stop.
06:27This is so lovely.
06:31Happy days.
06:32First time on the monorail this trip?
06:33It is, yeah.
06:34Hey.
06:35Big mon.
06:36Please stand clear of the doors.
06:47We had to come and check in for California Grill on the second floor and the restaurant
06:53is on the 15th floor, so we're in this sort of lobby area.
06:56That's the check-in desk over there, oh my gosh, I'm scouting the menu.
07:03I know what you like, I know what I want already, I want the salad, the steak and the white chocolate
07:05pudding thing.
07:06I actually looked.
07:07I think it's $89 per person plus tax and tips, you're looking at over $100 per person plus
07:14drinks and things.
07:15So it's definitely an expensive meal.
07:17Do you fancy the California Grill signature cocktail, $150?
07:24For a cocktail?
07:25No, you're joking.
07:26He was in fact not joking on this.
07:29We are in the restaurant.
07:30They didn't have any window seats, but we're quite happy because we're going to go out
07:34on the viewing platform anyway.
07:36We're changing tables, they got us the wrong table.
07:38We didn't say anything, they just came to us over and said, we're moving you, okay.
07:41Okay, well that was all in a minute, wasn't it?
07:44We have a very close window seat now and it is absolutely beautiful, so we're not directly
07:50like right next to the window, but if we didn't want to go outside, we could watch straight
07:56from here, couldn't we?
07:57So we can see Space Mountain, we can see Tron.
08:00It looks gorgeous at night.
08:01The castle, it is stunning.
08:02This is the best view we've ever had.
08:04This is perfect.
08:05You can see the castle.
08:06Oh, it's stunning, I'm so pleased.
08:09And they sprinkled some Mickey confetti on the table.
08:13So this menu is inspired by California.
08:16There's a market inspirations at the top, which is basically starter.
08:19I think I'm going to go for the farmer's market salad.
08:22Then the chef's journey is your main.
08:25They have a Wagyu strip loin, which I bet is incredible.
08:28And then these are the desserts.
08:30I like the sound of the white chocolate mousse, although I bet they're all nice to be honest.
08:35We'd have any of those things.
08:36This menu is very us.
08:37I feel like there's a lot on here that we like.
08:38Yeah.
08:39And then you're going to have a surf and turf roll.
08:40Yeah.
08:41Do you want to do pairings?
08:42With wine?
08:43Yeah.
08:44Oh, okay.
08:45We can do.
08:46I know we both had the steak.
08:47We've got a little, what do we call it?
08:48Mousse bouche.
08:49Yeah, mousse bouche.
08:50It's a scallop.
08:53That scompt was gorgeous.
08:54That was like an explosion of flavour.
08:55I might be a scompt right now.
08:56If you don't mind the texture.
08:57Sure quite fussy sometimes.
08:58It's just soft in there.
08:59That was amazing.
09:00So we've decided to do the wine pairing, which is expensive.
09:06But we've got into wine over the last couple of days.
09:16which is expensive, but we've got into wine over the last couple of years and we're learning
09:23what we like, what we don't like, different vineyards, we've tasted wine all over the
09:27world now, and so this felt like a good option because you basically get a glass with your
09:32starter and your main that's paired, but they're from really expensive bottles, so like a bottle
09:38of the glass I'm going to have with my main is $300.
09:43Mine is $500. So that's crazy, so we'd obviously never buy a bottle, but it's $75 each to do
09:50the pairing. It's a nice way basically to try some different wines, plus we can, because
09:55we're both having different starters and different mains, we can share each other's, so let's
09:59try our first wines then. Cheers. I love mine, try mine. That's really nice. It's a little
10:06tangy. Oh, okay, sorry Sommelier. Oh yeah. Yours is really smooth. Fair mine, sorry.
10:13You're having a fair mine to be honest, so that's alright. Tomato, garlic, olive oil,
10:18chives and sea salt. We have butter with sea salt on the side. Beautiful, thank you. And
10:23some sourdough bread. Careful, don't burn the napkin. That's a fake candle. Here's my
10:31salad. It looks absolutely beautiful. I bet it's going to taste so fresh. And then Benji
10:36over here has got the ravioli. Exciting. As you can see behind us, people are starting
10:41to go out onto the observation deck. So people that are sat on the other side of the restaurant
10:47or in the middle, they're all going outside. I think they're people that have come back
10:51up from previous meal times. Yeah, if you have a reservation at 5 or 6pm or whatever,
10:57just bring your receipt and then you can come up and view the fireworks from here,
11:01which is such a good perk. So even if you get a later or earlier dinner. We were just
11:06so lucky that we snagged 7pm and the fireworks are at 8pm today. But before that begins,
11:13the starter was phenomenal. Yeah, it was so good. Like little pockets of just flavour.
11:21My little biscuity things were like chocolatey, nutty, paired beautifully with the fresh salad
11:27leaves.
11:31Wow. Beautiful bottles.
11:36Okay, we're trying our red wines now. But basically in summary, my salad was incredible.
11:42Absolutely incredible. And we had the bread, the sourdough bread to dip in the sauce. It
11:46was so nice. Our steak is coming. So we decided to have it. And then the fireworks are starting
11:51in 15 minutes. So we're just going to eat and watch at the same time, which makes my
11:55heart so happy. Anyway, let's try this. Cheers. It's mine. $300 bottle of red wine. Oh my
12:03gosh. That doesn't even taste like red wine. Mine is a $500 bottle of wine. And you know
12:09how some reds almost like punch your tongue when you first have it? That just like glides
12:15over. Stunning. So Benji's got the Wagyu beef, which looks absolutely incredible. And
12:20then some sort of like dumpling? Chicken dumplings in a broth. Wow. And I have got the beef fillet
12:26steak with some vegetables. I mean, you just know this is going to taste divine, don't
12:30you? Just look at it. The presentation is stunning. Oh, I'm just so excited. We've got
12:34about 10 minutes to have liver after, so we'll be just finishing it right in time. Exciting.
12:39Hardly cutting it. Wow. And mine's amazing as well. I know you can't really appreciate
12:45it, but it's just perfect. I just said to Benji, this could be my favorite meal I've
12:50had on property, but I will report back at the end. But stunning.
12:55Oh my god, I'm going to cry.
13:03Oh my god, it's Greg. It's Greg.
13:09Wow, I didn't realize how big the floor was.
13:16Oh my god, good job I packed two sheets.
13:21Wow.
13:31Wow.
13:40Oh my god, I'm absolutely soaked.
13:44Right, Brogan's dehydrated now, so we're going to get some water in here.
13:52Oh my god, that was phenomenal. That was incredible. I think, obviously we haven't done all of
13:57our reservations yet, but I can safely say that if you're going to do one thing, this
14:02is the one, isn't it? Yeah. Of all the reservations we've done, or I think on any of the trips
14:08If you've got the budget for just one, this is it.
14:11It is a really special one, and obviously we are celebrating and it's very memorable
14:15for us, and I'm so glad we waited. You literally just said there, I wish I could just capture
14:19this moment and relive it. I wish I could just mark it in my brain forever. It was amazing.
14:24I kind of thought when you said, oh we can watch the fireworks from up here, I was like
14:27okay cool, we've seen the fireworks, I'm sure it'll be nice, but it was cool.
14:31And they were so big. We just came out for the ending because it was just so nice to
14:35see it with my own eyes without the glass, but watching it with a glass of red wine,
14:41holding each other's hand and being able to talk about it and hearing each other and not
14:44being crammed in sardines. Oh my god, I'm still sobbing. I can't get over it. I feel
14:51so lucky that we got to do that. Yeah, me too. I'm glad I got to witness it with you
14:55on that. Yeah, me too. Amazing. Ten out of ten. I love you.
15:02All right, these are our final wines. We've got dessert wine and we've got some champagne.
15:06That's so nice isn't it? Yeah. Dessert wine is not something we normally have, is it?
15:10No. It's such a treat. The last time we had a dessert wine, I think, was in Sicily. That
15:15is insane. It's gorgeous, isn't it? It is like drinking syrup, but like- Yeah, in the
15:21best way. Yeah, apple-y, caramel-y. I don't know, it's just insane. Insane. Everything
15:28about this meal has been amazing. Getting notes of really bloody tasty. Really bloody
15:32tasty. Oh, I'm so happy. We absolutely smashed the time into this as well. Dessert straight
15:38after happy ever after. I'm sorry. I am so happy. This is my vanilla bean mousse thing.
15:47It looks like it's got orange and some, what's this, crumble or something? I don't know.
15:51Delicious though. I'm losing it now. It's just gone, ooh. The descriptions have just
15:55gone, ooh. And then Benji's got the apple mousse, I think? Apple caramel. Oh, it looks
16:00insane. I know that's going to taste amazing. It's got a little hat as well. Got a little
16:04hat. And they've also given us some conventory chocolates too, which is nice. That was genuinely
16:10the best dessert I've ever had in my life, honestly. Mine was amazing as well. The whole
16:16meal was flawless. Like 10 out of 10. No notes. Couldn't improve it in any way. Our
16:22waiter was lovely. The wine pairing was a fantastic idea. Yeah, and we did that and
16:26that was good. Just amazing. I would do this again, maybe on another anniversary in the
16:30future. Yeah. It's gone on our very prestigious, prestigious, prestigious, say your name, list
16:39of our top restaurants we've ever eaten in, best food. Yeah. We've only got 13 on that
16:45list in eight years of being together. So to make it on our list, on our list, you have
16:51to be flawless. And that was. And we'll see you again in the morning.
16:57Right. Good morning. Here is my outfit for Epcot today. My dress is very old from Joni
17:03Clothing. My old Cath Kidston bag. My new is that I got from Wilderness Lodge. They
17:11just match so many outfits. They're so cute. Kind of remind me of Fantasmic, actually.
17:15And then my trainers are Skechers. Slip-ins, they're called. I mean, I personally would
17:21just call them slip-on shoes, but you know, that's the name of them. Voice is still bad.
17:25What's new? We're off to meet my lovely friend, Victoria, who some of you may know, she has
17:31a channel called Disney in Detail. I will leave a link below if you want even more Disney
17:35content, in-depth reviews. She's currently doing a trip where she's trying loads of different
17:40resort hotels. So go and follow her, support her. She is the most wonderful friend. She's
17:45also staying here at Cabian Beach, but we're actually all meeting at the Riviera for a
17:49coffee this morning. Look at that. Beautiful day. Perfect for exploring Festival of the
17:53Arts today. So today we're focusing on food at Epcot. Oh no. What a horrible day for us.
18:00We do have a Guardian's Lightning Lane though. I think it's about half 11. Managed to snag
18:06it again. I woke up at 6.58, timed you, let you know the timings and then went back to
18:12sleep for two hours. I've left him for literally 30 seconds while we wait for Victoria. He's
18:18managed to get the lawn bowls going and he's already got his red ball super close to the
18:23white one. Oh, bit of a spinner on that one, but it's about the right speed though. So
18:30look at that technique. And you guys should know that Benji's grandparents taught him
18:36how to play. So it's actually quite good. You practiced every Friday for ages. All right,
18:45my go again then I guess. I need you all to know that he's so competitive. He loves winning
18:51and you know what? I'll just let him win if it makes him happy. Like that's what it takes.
18:56Do you know what I mean? Go on, show us your win then. Come on. Good game, babe. Good game.
19:01Yeah. I was back here since her second one. And then my last ball, I bashed yours off.
19:07I win. Well done. Congratulations. I'm not going to make Victoria do much chatting because
19:15she's lost her voice. I've got no voice. It's been so nice to catch up though. We've been
19:20here for about a good hour, haven't we? We've had a bit of coffee, had a bit of breakfast.
19:25The blueberry lemon pancakes here are amazing. We were just saying how lovely it is because
19:30Victoria also stayed at Caribbean Beach yesterday and how you can walk over here, use the skyliner.
19:35I feel like because you and I normally do like four or five hour chat and now we're,
19:39we've got to go obviously. We could sit all day. Let's do that when we get home. Do big
19:42debrief. We actually could stay here for like another four hours. A hundred percent, yeah.
19:46But yeah, it's been so nice to see you. We've got a festival to get to. We do. I'm going
19:50I know I'm sad. But it's nice to see you.
19:53Ah, this is so lovely coming here in the sunshine, isn't it? Last time we went to Epcot, it was
19:58a bit grey as you guys know. Oh, it's so nice. Are we in the wrong place? No, I just love
20:03looking across the view. It's so nice, isn't it? It's so nice.
20:06Look at the Epcot pool.
20:07I'm glad we saved the Epcot pool for a sunny day.
20:10Yeah, properly, yeah. The Eiffel Tower here.
20:12Yeah.
20:13That's um...
20:14How long's this, how long's been this skyline here?
20:17We're in Paris!
20:18Bonjour!
20:20The back of all of this is...
20:22It's an egg.
20:23It's an egg! Did you say it's an egg?
20:25It's an egg.
20:26Oh, your break has been called. Please return to Guardians.
20:29Woo!
20:31It's time. Head by Hall Pass 12. Success, you're ready to enter.
20:36Yay!
20:38Great timing.
20:39I feel like every trip we've done to Florida, we always say, oh, we should do like a full
20:44Epcot day and eat around the world and drink around the world, and we never end up doing it.
20:49But I think we can actually do a full Epcot day today.
20:52We can.
20:54It is. I'm so excited. And the weather's looking nice.
20:57It's not too hot at all. I'm really loving this weather in comparison to what we had
21:01at the beginning of the week, but also in comparison to when I came in May or when we've
21:04been here in September, we've been sweating. I can wear a full face of makeup. It's just
21:09perfect for us. Like, this is the perfect kind of day.
21:12I think we also, we've deliberately not booked, apart from obviously Guardians, we've not
21:16booked any rides in today, because I feel like we always get like a quarter way around,
21:19and then we're like, oh, we've got to go to this place.
21:21Zigzag, don't we?
21:22Whereas I want to go all the way around. I want to go in and out of every little bit.
21:25Every shop, every pavilion.
21:26So I always see reels and shorts and that, and people are like, oh, this little hidden
21:30bit in Morocco or whatever. I've never seen that in my life. So I want to do all the little
21:35bits. Which way do you turn? Do you go Mexico, or do you go United Kingdom? Because I feel
21:41like we came in through the edge.
21:42No, no. It's Mexico or Canada.
21:43That's it, yeah. Mexico or Canada. So let us know which way you turn and also why.
21:48I think my gut feeling is Mexico.
21:50I always go left.
21:51We do. We do Mexico.
21:52I feel like we could go right.
21:53And also I have bad news for you. Three Cabrilleros is not open. I know that's your favourite
21:59ride. Just leave already. We sing and we samba.
22:02No, no, no, no, no.
22:03No, Commander.
22:04Is there anything quite so great than a character meet with no queue, basically.
22:08Two people in front of us. Perfect.
22:10It's just so great.
22:11We actually really like meeting characters, but we absolutely refuse to wait at all.
22:15I struggle, because especially with the smaller characters. I'm six foot three. They come
22:19up to like my ribcage and it's really, I have to like get in.
22:21It does a bend.
22:23Daisy, hi. Nice to see you. Oh, I had a little kiss. How are you? Isn't it a gorgeous day
22:32here in Epcot? I've got my new ears on. I do have a very cute pink and purple outfit
22:38that I love, but I've already worn it this trip. So next time I meet you.
22:42Yeah, should we get a picture?
22:44I thought that was goofy then, but it's just a guy wearing a hat.
22:50Let's see if I can catch him. There we go. Hang on. This one.
22:57Good try.
22:58Two already? What a day.
23:00I actually really love the UK pavilion. Like, is it a representation of the UK?
23:05No. This is what the whole of the UK looks like.
23:08Obviously not. It's very old English, isn't it? But I do really love it.
23:12Rose and Crown pub, the fish and chips.
23:14All the telephone boxes that don't have the smell of wee in them here.
23:17Like they do back home.
23:19All the questionable posters of numbers that you can call.
23:23As a lot of you know, this is one of my favourite shops. It's called Port of Entry.
23:27Right in the centre of the World Showcase. There's the ball, obviously.
23:31And they had some little bracelets in here the other day that I wanted to show you
23:34that were so cute. They were friendship bracelets here on the side.
23:37Look at these. I haven't seen them in any other shop yet.
23:40They're called Little Words Project and they are adorable little bracelets.
23:44And I love this Epcot one.
23:46They have Park Hopper. One says home.
23:49What does this say? Rock the dots.
23:51Snack goals. Treat yourself.
23:53That is the most Gary and Adam thing ever.
23:55Oh my god, I love it.
23:57This is stunning. This is Rob Kaz.
24:00Look at these pieces.
24:02They are so adorable. Look at the little ducks.
24:05We're not really like high art people.
24:09But give me a cartoon and a well-painted picture.
24:12Sold, right? I know.
24:14Look at that with the little dog sat on the beach. That's so, so sweet.
24:17Have you seen the otters?
24:18That is adorable.
24:20They're not all Disney.
24:21It's like Disney adjacent, isn't it?
24:22Yeah.
24:23Look, a big Thunder Mountain.
24:25Oh my gosh, that's amazing.
24:28I've seen the Maltese.
24:29Oh, look, Tiki Room down there, Bench.
24:31Oh, banging it.
24:32Favourite ride.
24:33Oh, look at that one.
24:35Mickey and Minnie on a bench with all the different icons.
24:38I don't know what it is, right?
24:39And I think you'll agree with me.
24:40Figment is growing on me this trip.
24:42Oh, same. I don't know what's happened.
24:44He looks so cute. He looks a bit like Spyro.
24:46But he looks so cute.
24:47He does, I agree.
24:48Oh, I love this. Look at that one.
24:51Which artist is this? Let's look around the front.
24:53That's what caught me in.
24:55There's the big brother one.
24:56Rob Kaz.
24:57Oh, it's the same artist?
24:58Just having a look at Rob Kaz's actual Disney work.
25:02And there's some absolutely stunning pieces.
25:04Look at Walt with Mickey and Minnie down there.
25:06I love that.
25:07Look how cool this is.
25:08It's 3D chalk art.
25:10Oh, it's quite hard actually.
25:12They're all shallow to me.
25:13Oh, man.
25:14The pool looks so pretty today.
25:16It looks so much nicer against the blue sky, doesn't it?
25:18It really does. It's a big difference.
25:20We went to the end of that chalk art.
25:23But they have like a walkway of some little ones.
25:26So we're just going to have a little look at those as well.
25:28All part of the festival.
25:30So impressive.
25:31This is so cool.
25:33Oh, it's a shame it rains though.
25:34I guess it just all washes away.
25:36Oh, look at Orange Bird.
25:37That's so good.
25:39The talent.
25:40That's so good, isn't it?
25:41It's so pretty.
25:43Wow.
25:44So it's actually 12 o'clock.
25:45And we're both pretty hungry.
25:47But we've agreed that it's better to do Guardians
25:50before we eat loads of food.
25:53So we're going to do that first.
25:54Smash that out.
25:55And then we'll be eating everything then.
25:56We're getting there.
25:57We're going to get there.
25:58We're going to get there.
25:59There's so much to enjoy when it's a festival at Epcot.
26:01Yeah, I agree.
26:02I think food.
26:03Yeah, food and wine is still our favorite.
26:05Flower and Garden is pretty good.
26:07But I am liking Festival of the Arts.
26:08It's very pretty.
26:09Christmas.
26:10Oh, Christmas was a banger.
26:12Guardians, here we come.
26:15I wonder what song we're going to get today.
26:17I totally fancy Chris Pratt.
26:19I think he's gorgeous.
26:21I think because he's so funny.
26:23I think that's what I'm attracted to.
26:24But he's on the Jurassic World Velocicoaster ride as well.
26:29And then he sometimes is here.
26:31Not today.
26:33I absolutely love that ride.
26:36It's so smooth.
26:37It's so thrilling.
26:39It doesn't go upside down.
26:40Love the vibe with the song.
26:42We had Everybody Wants to Rule the World again.
26:45Banger.
26:46I like September.
26:48It's my favorite.
26:49No, I love the vibe with that song.
26:50It's so true.
26:51Yeah, it's better than I ran for sure.
26:54It's a good little bopper.
26:55Yeah.
26:56Right, we're going to go and take a picture.
26:57Yeah.
26:58By the Epcot ball.
26:59Yeah.
27:00All in the name of the thumbnail.
27:01Yeah.
27:02And then we're going to start thinking about food.
27:03Because all we've talked about today is food.
27:04I've been thinking about food since we woke up.
27:06This is way delayed.
27:08Look how pretty the front of this looks.
27:10It's so nice.
27:11With like the paint box tub thing.
27:14And the Festival of the Arts logo.
27:16With Figment.
27:17And the little rainbow.
27:19Stunning.
27:20There is one thing we haven't done here yet.
27:22The Moana water thing.
27:23The what?
27:24Journey, Moana's journey of water thing.
27:37I think we started off with that Beef Wellington croissant.
27:40Oh okay, that's right here.
27:41Yeah.
27:42This is called the Craftsman's Courtyard.
27:44And this is what Ben was saying.
27:45This Beef Wellington inspired croissant supreme.
27:48And we can use a little credit with that.
27:50So that's good.
27:51So you order around the corner.
27:53Then they give you your receipt.
27:55And then you just wait to pick it up.
27:56And at the bottom you can see we have 44 quick service meals.
28:01And 15 snacks left.
28:03The first thing we've got is this Beef Wellington thing.
28:06Which I'm not going to lie.
28:07I'm not sure about.
28:08Nice little picnic bench.
28:10With some fake grass.
28:12The croissant kind of looks like a Yorkshire pudding doesn't it?
28:14Yeah.
28:15Looks like maybe there's a bit of mustard.
28:16Some gravy.
28:17That's great.
28:19You're going to like that.
28:21Mmm.
28:22The croissant has got spinach inside I think.
28:25And the sauce is really creamy.
28:27Mushroomy.
28:28It's very like a roast dinner in a bite.
28:30Yeah I like it.
28:31That one also won points for just a really nice eating area.
28:35So spongy isn't it?
28:36It is really spongy.
28:37With all the flowers.
28:38I think we were in a queue here last time when we said it was really spongy.
28:41It is isn't it?
28:42Yeah.
28:43Hang on what are we rating?
28:44Let's rate them out.
28:45Are we rating them out of 5 or 10?
28:46I reckon out of 5 because it's easier.
28:47Okay we'll rate everything out of 5.
28:49So that I'm giving a 5.
28:505.
28:515 out of 5.
28:52Yeah I don't think it's a 10 out of 10 but it's definitely a 5 out of 5.
28:54But we're rating out of 5.
28:55Do you know what I mean?
28:56Yeah.
28:57I would say that's a 963 out of 1000.
29:00If I was boss of all the theme parks I'd have the men's and the women's on the same side
29:05every time.
29:06It's just random here.
29:07I keep on walking into the doorway thinking it's always going to be on one side which
29:11it isn't.
29:12It's such a niche little tiny thing but you know.
29:14I feel you.
29:15The next booth is called Refreshment Port and they sell poutine here.
29:19So which one do you want?
29:21Traditional or do you want the one that's got tomatoes?
29:23Which has got to be traditional.
29:25I think it's traditional.
29:26Alright the poutine actually looks really great but there wasn't a lot of gravy so I
29:30asked the cast member if we could have some more and she just put it in a little pot.
29:34It definitely needed more gravy.
29:35I said we're British it's very important and she said I totally understand.
29:38Yes that's much more like it isn't it.
29:41So that was a 3.
29:42It was good.
29:43There was nothing wrong with it it just didn't stand out as much as the others.
29:46The cheese needed to be more melty.
29:48We had poutine in Disney Springs at the poutine stand didn't we?
29:51We did.
29:52I've mentioned this a few times but we have our own cutlery.
29:54Not only is this environmentally friendly because people just pick up plastic cutlery
29:59at every booth and bin it and these are much more sturdy than the black plastic ones.
30:03Yeah because I've seen a few people like stick it in and it snaps straight away so.
30:07We have washing up liquid and washing up brush and we just wash them up at the end of the
30:10day.
30:11So we are sharing like each one so that we can eat more.
30:15I'm really happy this is like perfect.
30:17Do you remember when we tried to do this on like a really hot day and we were melting
30:21like this is way.
30:22We weren't hungry were we?
30:23We weren't hungry that's the thing in Florida when it is really hot you don't have the appetite.
30:27So we went for a frozen French martini from obviously the French pavilion and she put
30:33a bit of like whipped cream on top or.
30:36That's divine.
30:37Wow.
30:38That's good isn't it?
30:39It's a little bit sour but in like the best way.
30:42It's a bit raspberry.
30:43Raspberry?
30:44A bit of Chambord isn't it?
30:47Wow.
30:48That was $15 so.
30:49Bit of a.
30:50So we are definitely going to just share that one for the moment.
30:55Everything else is obviously food wise then snack credits.
30:57We got the Wagyu bun in Japan and what's this called?
31:01Taiyaki.
31:02Taiyaki.
31:03The mince is like really fine.
31:06Wagyu bun I'm giving.
31:07I think it might be a three.
31:08See why her brain was so confused and I was thinking it was going to be a savoury thing.
31:09It's tasty isn't it?
31:10I think that's a four.
31:11Wow that's really good.
31:12It's got like a little paste inside.
31:13A red bean paste?
31:14Yeah.
31:15I don't even know what flavour it is to be honest.
31:16Raspberry cherry kind of flavour isn't it?
31:17It's lovely it's very light.
31:18It holds together well and it looks pretty.
31:19I like that.
31:20Also if you like Japanese food then you should definitely try this.
31:21It's a Japanese restaurant.
31:22It's a Japanese restaurant.
31:23It's a Japanese restaurant.
31:24It's a Japanese restaurant.
31:25It's a Japanese restaurant.
31:26It's a Japanese restaurant.
31:27It's a Japanese restaurant.
31:28It's a Japanese restaurant.
31:29It's a Japanese restaurant.
31:30It's a Japanese restaurant.
31:31It's a Japanese restaurant.
31:32It's a Japanese restaurant.
31:33It's a Japanese restaurant.
31:34It's a Japanese restaurant.
31:35It's a Japanese restaurant.
31:36It's a Japanese restaurant.
31:37It's a Japanese restaurant.
31:38It's a Japanese restaurant.
31:39It's a Japanese restaurant.
31:40It's a Japanese restaurant.
31:41It's a Japanese restaurant.
31:42It's a Japanese restaurant.
31:43It's a Japanese restaurant.
31:44It's a Japanese restaurant.
31:45It's a Japanese restaurant.
31:46It's a Japanese restaurant.
31:47It's a Japanese restaurant.
31:48It's a Japanese restaurant.
31:49It's a Japanese restaurant.
31:50It's a Japanese restaurant.
31:51It's a Japanese restaurant.
31:52It's a Japanese restaurant.
31:53It's a Japanese restaurant.
31:54It's a Japanese restaurant.
31:55Anyway, we're in another little food booth here in Japan.
31:57Are we having drinks?
31:58We're having drinks.
31:59We've got two cocktails from the Japanese pavilion.
32:02Full disclosure, I went in wanting this one, which is the Violet Sake, because I've seen
32:06a few people having them.
32:07Yeah.
32:08I've been walking around with them.
32:09It looks amazing.
32:10And then we saw this Tropical Sunset.
32:11It's got coconut rum and peach schnapps in it, along with other fruity things.
32:14And pineapple and stuff, yeah.
32:15And that's just us in a bar.
32:16That's a bit of us, yeah.
32:17So should we try it?
32:18Cheers.
32:19Cheers, bubba.
32:21Oh my god, mine's amazing as well.
32:23Let's try.
32:24How good is that?
32:25It just tastes like fruit juice.
32:26It's like fruit punch.
32:27Do you know what that's like?
32:28It's my Sex on the Beach that I make for games nights.
32:31Yeah.
32:32A lot less boozy, that is, though.
32:33Wow.
32:34Wow.
32:35Wow.
32:36Owen Wilson, wow.
32:37That is gorgeous.
32:38So good.
32:39We've had some good and some bad sakes, haven't we?
32:42Sake?
32:43Sake?
32:44You don't love all of them, do you?
32:45No, I don't.
32:46There's a couple that are a bit keen, but I've overall liked all of them.
32:48That doesn't even taste like alcohol.
32:50Oh, look, we've got our snack bag out.
32:53That's absolutely beautiful.
32:54Oh.
32:55Oh.
32:56You've only had a sip.
32:58Here we go.
33:01Now, I know it's hard for us to rate drinks in comparison to food, but out of five, what
33:05would you rate the drink?
33:06Four?
33:07A high four.
33:08High four.
33:09Yeah, I couldn't give it a five, but they were both really good.
33:11Quite a lot of ice in them.
33:13Tasty.
33:14It didn't taste like alcohol.
33:15Really good.
33:16Really, really nice.
33:17Do you want to have a little browse in the Japanese shop?
33:18Because it's really cute.
33:19I don't know where it is, but I remember it being really cute.
33:22What's that next to it?
33:23Yeah, I really like this shop.
33:24There's loads of adorable things, and it's just laid out really nice.
33:27It's really easy to shop.
33:28I can't wait to go to Japan one day.
33:30I'm absolutely desperate, especially to do Disney, obviously, so watch this space.
33:36Is that not the most adorable little walrus?
33:38Walrus?
33:39Oh.
33:40Walrus?
33:41Oh.
33:42Walrus?
33:43A walrus.
33:44Where you get your pick and mix?
33:45You've never seen.
33:46That is cute.
33:47I love him.
33:48Oh, wait.
33:49Hold on.
33:50What?
33:52That's a bit weird, no?
33:53What are you doing to that poor walrus?
33:55You put your hand in.
33:56Look, it's his.
33:57I was like, oh, I love it.
33:58It's so cute.
33:59Maybe it can come home with me for a grand total of $70.
34:03Yeah, it's a bit much.
34:05Bye-bye.
34:06You can live here, my friend.
34:07Bye-bye, Wally.
34:08Bye.
34:09Something that's part of Festival of the Arts is the Disney on Broadway concert.
34:16They have the cast from the Broadway shows that perform in this pavilion here.
34:21About three times a night, I think.
34:23We have-
34:24Different people on different dates.
34:26Casey Levy.
34:27Yeah.
34:28And Jelani Reming.
34:29So Casey-
34:30From Frozen.
34:31Frozen and the Lion King.
34:32Lion King, yes.
34:33It's 5.30, 6.45, and 8 p.m.
34:36We love Disney theater, so that's good.
34:39And also, they do sell dining packages.
34:42So if you're dining in one of the select restaurants, you can book a dining package and guarantee a seat.
34:47But we did this sort of concert thing at Christmas, and we watched the Christmas show.
34:53And it was fine.
34:54There's loads of room.
34:55You can fit loads of people in there.
34:56You just need to make sure that you queue up enough time in advance.
35:00But yeah, we'll be doing that later.
35:02Aw, that's cute.
35:04We haven't ever done Turtle Talk with Crush, have we?
35:08No, we haven't.
35:09The only thing we haven't seen yet?
35:11These 25-year pins are cute.
35:15Aw.
35:16I like the bell on there.
35:18That's nice.
35:19So they have a booth called The Artist Table here in the American Pavilion.
35:23And we are going to get the chicken pot pie, which is kind of flat.
35:28It's not really much of a pie shape that you'll see.
35:30But they also have an amazing hummingbird cake, which sounds nice.
35:33Here it is.
35:34So it's not really a pie.
35:35It's like the base is what you'd expect on the top of a pie, like the crust bit, I guess.
35:41And then inside here, we've got some chicken, potato, carrots, a bit of gravy and some sort of sauce.
35:47Another really handy thing to carry and use all the time.
35:50Oh, it's anti-bag.
35:52It's flattened in my face.
35:54How do you manage that?
35:55This is meant to be good, but it doesn't look that great.
35:57It doesn't look that inspiring, does it?
35:59It does not, no.
36:00The pastry looks very dry.
36:01This is the thing.
36:02You see all these, like, best of the festival videos and stuff.
36:05And this is one of them that came up highly, didn't it?
36:07But it's messy.
36:10No.
36:12That pastry, it sticks to your, like, top of your mouth.
36:16Yeah.
36:17There's not too much flap right now or something.
36:19Yeah, it's not good.
36:21I don't like that.
36:22It's a one, isn't it?
36:23I'm trying really hard not to give it a one.
36:25It's a one.
36:26I don't know what redeems it other than a one.
36:29It's a one.
36:30I can't explain to you how salty it is.
36:32I literally had to rip my bottle out of my bag to have some water.
36:36You're taking it so seriously.
36:39I thought this was going to be the best one.
36:41Yeah, so did I.
36:42So the American Pavilion is the halfway point around the World Showcase,
36:46and we've decided that this is a good opportunity to stop.
36:49The chicken pot pie was so bad that we're going to get back to the room
36:52for a couple of hours and then head back out.
36:54Do you really leave Epcot if you don't go through this gift shop?
36:58You have to go through this gift shop.
37:00It's kind of like, it's just a rule.
37:02I like these.
37:03I saw a group of girls wearing one each the other day.
37:05They looked so good.
37:07They all had a different character.
37:09Oh, I love that.
37:11Hi, Chip.
37:13Oh, a bit of yoga out in the Riviera.
37:16Wow.
37:17Oh, that is quite the stretch.
37:19Stunning.
37:20Do you do downward chipmunk?
37:22Downward chipmunk?
37:23Yep, love.
37:24Nice.
37:25Oh, very demure.
37:26Very good.
37:30Ta-da.
37:31Yay.
37:32Oh, tree pose.
37:35The important thing is you mastered Zen.
37:37Mastered the Zen.
37:39Love that.
37:40Nice to meet you.
37:42Oh, look, he's playing tic-tac-toe.
37:44Look.
37:45He's playing.
37:47Oh, she is so gorgeous.
37:49I know.
37:50Wow.
37:52Looking beautiful, Daisy.
37:55Oh, a little twirl.
37:57Love it.
37:58We've had Chip doing yoga.
38:00We've had, oh yes, a little bit of yoga from Daisy too.
38:03Lovely.
38:04Oh, wowee.
38:06We know you like your ballet when we met you at Topolino's Terrace.
38:09So yes, that's it.
38:11That's how to do it.
38:13Stunning.
38:15It's been about two hours, and we have been just relaxing.
38:20And after years of doing Disney, we have come to appreciate the value of rest.
38:28Rest times, breaks, resting your toes.
38:31Because the adrenaline and the excitement can make you want to run around and do it all.
38:36But actually, we can now spend the rest of our evening enjoying the fireworks, enjoying the Disney and Broadway show,
38:42and doing the other half of the World Showcase for all the food we want to eat.
38:46So, yeah, that's nice.
38:47I also filmed a little reel for my books page.
38:49Did a little haul.
38:50The next vlog you see, we're going to Animal Kingdom.
38:52And there's a new baby tiger that came out yesterday.
38:57And we have booked the Wild Africa Trek, which I'm so excited about.
39:02It's a three-hour experience where you put on a harness, and they take you into areas of Kilimanjaro Safari, but behind the scenes.
39:11Anyway, we're doing that in the next vlog, so you'll see that.
39:13But we also have two days after that that are empty right now, which we did on purpose.
39:18We've just been deciding what we want to do, making plans, what the last things are a priority for us, etc., etc.
39:24If the weather was, like, a smidge warmer, I would love to have gone to a water park.
39:28Especially Volcano Bay. We love it there, don't we?
39:30Yeah, we love Volcano Bay.
39:31Really love it there.
39:32But I don't think we'll prioritize that this trip.
39:35But anyway, let's go back to Epcot.
39:37Take the Skyliner.
39:38This is a vibe.
39:40The Skyliner at sunset at Caribbean Beach.
39:44Wow.
39:45I absolutely love it.
39:47And I love how we just pop out of there.
39:49So the reception is not far.
39:50It's just over there, where that lighthouse is.
39:52That's where the restaurant we went to, Sebastian's Bistro, is.
39:55And then this way is the little path.
39:58And that's the Riviera.
39:59It really takes us, like, five minutes, doesn't it?
40:02It's so good. I thought it'd be longer.
40:04We were going to do more of the festival food booths.
40:07We've just walked past the fish and chips at the UK Pavilion, and we both kind of fancy it.
40:12Yeah, okay.
40:13It actually smells pretty amazing.
40:15It's $13.49, but it's a meal credit on our quick service.
40:20Got the fish and chips.
40:21It actually looks pretty nice.
40:23And with the dining plan, you get a drink included.
40:28They don't have any alcoholic drinks that we were interested in here.
40:31So I've just got my sweet iced tea that I have in my refillable mug every day, pretty much.
40:36Is it good?
40:37Chips are not good.
40:38Oh.
40:39I don't like it very much.
40:41This is all batter.
40:44That's not fish.
40:45I've scraped the fish out so you can see.
40:48That's just batter.
40:50Oh no, it's not good.
40:54That is not it.
40:56There's not many meals that I actively don't want to finish, but that is not getting finished.
41:02Mine was the same, by the way.
41:04Really full of batter.
41:05My second half was exactly the same.
41:06The good thing is, is that no money was lost because it was a quick service credit, and we have like 40 of them left.
41:13We've got six days left and 40 credits left.
41:15Bye bye.
41:17Feels very busy.
41:20We've arrived about 15 minutes before, and there's absolutely loads of seats, so we didn't have to worry.
41:27We're just doing the trivia.
41:28Casey Levy and Jelani Remy.
42:19Bye bye.
42:50We've come into the Germany Pavilion to pick up some snacks, and the caramel butter bar is so good, so I'm going to get one of those.
43:00It's not the same as the one in Disneyland, but it's still pretty close.
43:04And I've heard that they've got chocolate covered strawberries too, but I don't know where they are.
43:08We have come into the China Pavilion now.
43:10Honestly, just killing time because we have an hour and a half till the fireworks.
43:14Nine o'clock's too late for fireworks.
43:17Bedtime.
43:19It's not too late.
43:20I would have been rude not to have put that on.
43:22At least it keeps you toasted.
43:24I think it looks like something my grandma would love.
43:27Yeah, she actually would as well.
43:28She would, yeah.
43:36Only problem is it's got two eyes.
43:38If it was that, it'd only have one eye.
43:40It doesn't look like a snake, does it?
43:42Right, we've been to the Painted Panda in the China Pavilion, and we've got some sort of dumpling thing.
43:49Rating out of five?
43:50Four.
43:51Four.
43:52Yeah, comfortable.
43:53Really flavourful.
43:55Easy to eat.
43:56Actually nice.
43:57Didn't blow my mind, but pretty nice.
43:59They've got some really loud music playing, but the show we're about to see tonight here at Epcot is called Luminous, the Symphony of Us.
44:06It's on at nine o'clock, and we have chosen to watch it in between Canada is here, and the UK is there, so that we can run to the Skyliner.
44:22This is what we're working with view-wise, so a couple of rocks here, but that's fine.
44:31Oh my gosh.
44:37I didn't know this song was in it.
44:41I didn't know this song was in it.
45:04All the pavilions lit up, and then my band.
45:12Yeah.
45:28That was absolutely brilliant.
45:30I think that's my favourite one ever at Epcot.
45:32They've improved the fireworks so much.
45:34There's massive focus on the fireworks.
45:36Bigger booms.
45:38Also the song, the music was beautiful.
45:41A mix of original and film music.
45:44It was gorgeous. I really liked it.
45:46There was less projections of stuff on the walls, but it didn't need it.
45:49It doesn't need it.
45:51I love that.
45:53That was a really nice surprise.
45:55I'm glad we stayed.
45:56We just got off the Skyliner, and we spent the whole journey chatting to the loveliest family with two little kids.
46:02The kids were really chatty as well.
46:04The little boy was telling us all about his favourite characters, and so we just loved it.
46:07It was so sweet.
46:08And they also said, we did the Moana water thing today.
46:11And we both went, oh no!
46:13We forgot!
46:15Moana's my favourite!
46:17I cannot believe that.
46:19No, we're going to have to go back in the day, Benj.
46:21We will show you that in the next vlog, I guess.
46:24As we said, tomorrow we're in Animal Kingdom.
46:26So we'll see you again in the next vlog.
46:29Thank you so much for watching.
46:31And that's all.
46:32Okay, love you, bye!
46:38Bye!
