Galeries' Jimenez dismisses 'coach's favorite' tag

Ysa Jimenez is fully aware of the comments online, stating that she is coach Lerma Giron's favorite since she always had more minutes inside the court. She made it clear that there was no such thing as favoritism in their squad. Jimenez made a career-high performance of 23 points to help Galeries score an upset over top contender Cignal, 25-17, 25-22, 19-25, 25-19, in the qualification round of the PVL 2024-25 All-Filipino Conference at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig on Feb. 27, 2025. The win allowed Galeries to advance in the playoffs.
