00:00Previously, on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
00:06It's time to let go of the past.
00:08Redoing the living room is a real step
00:11in the right direction.
00:12Oh, I love it.
00:13You feel like there's any pressure,
00:14because you're like, OK, Keely really wants a kid.
00:17If I want to carry a baby myself,
00:19I don't have a lot of time to do that.
00:21I didn't think he'd be doing what he's doing now.
00:23But what is he doing?
00:24Just, I'm going to stop paying this,
00:26and you're going to be liable for this.
00:27You have to protect yourself.
00:29You have to go, this is not my partner.
00:31This is my adversary now.
00:34I am going to Augusta to see my mother,
00:37and thought maybe you might want to join us.
00:40She's gorgeous.
00:42Hello, great to see you.
00:44I really want to fix my relationship with my mother
00:46now.
00:47I feel like it's a bit strained.
00:49You just want her to acknowledge, like, I'm proud of you.
00:52I want her to respect me.
00:54Maybe that's what I'm actually looking for, respect.
00:59I don't know.
01:03These hills have eyes, and they're all staring at me.
01:07I honor my fine Southern manners by putting you in your place.
01:13I've been in the game too long to play by someone else's rules.
01:20In Beverly Hills, money buys a lot,
01:22but my independence, priceless.
01:25Introducing the greatest product I've ever marketed,
01:28myself.
01:31I might look like a doll, but don't wind me up.
01:48I've got to put some makeup on.
01:49Where would I have taken off my diamonds?
01:55I'm not even about this.
01:56All right, Augusta, here we go.
02:04Hey, you've been running?
02:06I've been running.
02:07Oh.
02:08I have a bone to pick with your daughter.
02:09She told me to go around the house and make a left,
02:14and then to go left on Henry.
02:16There was no Henry.
02:17Henry's back there.
02:19In fact, you go to the cemetery the way you were going.
02:23You would have run to China and back without seeing.
02:26But don't go ever again this late.
02:28When I used to run, I used to run at 536.
02:30You're very strong mentally.
02:32I am very strong mentally.
02:34I blame that on my father.
02:36I was his favorite child.
02:38So he taught me how to be very strong and independent.
02:40What sign are you?
02:41Cancer.
02:42But I'm not a typical cancer.
02:44I told this to my friend last week.
02:46I said, I'm not a nurturer.
02:47She laughed.
02:48You're not a nurturer?
02:49No.
02:50Hi, Miss Reba.
02:51Hello.
02:52You will be joining us for brunch.
02:54Brunch?
02:55I thought we were having breakfast.
02:56Well, it's turned into brunch.
02:58Yes, I see that.
03:00Well, I don't have a watch.
03:01Yes, you go.
03:02It's so nice talking with you.
03:03I'll talk to you.
03:04You would want to go get dressed and come back for brunch.
03:07Dressed?
03:08Yeah.
03:09Why am I getting dressed?
03:10Well, we're having a proper brunch.
03:11I'm fully dressed right now.
03:13Oh, OK.
03:14I just thought if you want to go fluff up a little bit.
03:17No, I don't.
03:18Oh, OK.
03:19All right.
03:20But I'll see you in a few minutes.
03:21OK.
03:22Sutton, I'm going down.
03:23I'm here.
03:24Oh, what are you doing?
03:25Checking up on this grit.
03:27We don't want to get burnt.
03:29Where are we eating, outside?
03:30No, right over here.
03:32Oh, nice.
03:33Yeah.
03:33So then let's set up.
03:35I was just going to wait for Sutton's direction,
03:37set the table, because, you know.
03:40Yeah, I got it.
03:41Yeah.
03:42We love her.
03:43And we don't want to mess the chakras today.
03:44No.
03:45Not today.
03:47I was just talking to your mom.
03:48Uh-huh.
03:50She's so great.
03:52She's very interesting.
03:53And I understand more about her just in the little conversation
03:56that I had.
03:57What did you learn?
03:58She had a very tough dad.
03:59He taught her to be strong.
04:00He told me she was not a nurturer.
04:02She said that?
04:04Yeah.
04:05You got that out of her?
04:06Yeah.
04:08She's aware of that.
04:10Yeah.
04:11How long was your dad not well for?
04:14I noticed it when I was, like, 25, 26.
04:18I was in my 20s when I got the call, you need to come home.
04:23And it was very surprising for me.
04:25Like, I didn't understand my father, who was our rock,
04:29could be starting to break.
04:32We put him in the hospital twice.
04:34Really?
04:34I didn't know that.
04:35Oh, yeah.
04:36And I'm talking, put him in the car,
04:38like, shoved him in the car.
04:39And what was going on with him?
04:41Just depressive state.
04:43He was on those drugs.
04:44And for depression.
04:46Did he drink any time?
04:47Sleeping pills.
04:49He was suffering from chronic depression.
04:52They had him on all these pills just to try to regulate
04:54stuff that wasn't working.
04:56He would go on and off of them for years.
04:59And then he would self-medicate with alcohol.
05:02He was very confused.
05:04Talking a lot about how he wanted to kill himself.
05:08Didn't know what day it was.
05:11But he never went to therapy.
05:14It was just so disjointed, his treatment, his non-treatment.
05:20You passed when you were 31?
05:2232.
05:23So six years.
05:24Yeah.
05:25My father shot himself in December of 22, so 2002.
05:35December 2002 is when he killed himself.
05:40You're lucky to have your mom.
05:43How many minutes has that been in there, an hour?
05:45Well, could you tell me if this is, can I take it out?
05:48Does that look good to you?
05:49Or should I turn it off?
05:50Only thing you're doing is heating it up.
05:51Do you realize that?
05:52I don't want to overcook them.
05:54You don't want dry grits.
05:55Turn it off.
05:56That's what I asked, but OK.
06:00What are these forks for?
06:02If someone wanted to cut a slice of cake.
06:05Oh.
06:08Didn't you want a drink?
06:09What am I making you?
06:10What do you have?
06:12OK.
06:13Would you like a tea?
06:14How are you?
06:14You look good.
06:15Oh, thank you.
06:15You look wonderful.
06:16Would you like a vodka lemonade?
06:18No.
06:20What else do you got?
06:21I could do a Bloody Mary.
06:23I can definitely do that.
06:24Yes.
06:24How'd you sleep?
06:27I think I slept pretty well.
06:29I was just telling Avi that I don't like that nice.
06:36Let me just say this.
06:38Apple tree.
06:40Did you make that, Avi?
06:42Where's the dressing?
06:43It's on the way.
06:44He only has two hands, Sutton.
06:46Maybe we want water and tea.
06:49Mm.
06:51I need white jeans, and I can't find them,
06:53so I have to go buy some.
06:55And I don't like this plastic hanger.
06:56We know this.
06:57Reba Sutton.
06:59A little awkward, but somehow lovable.
07:04So you're still working as a therapist, right?
07:06I'm quitting in September.
07:08How come?
07:09I mean, I'm 82.
07:10Shall we sit on the porch?
07:11Yeah, I would love it.
07:12I love the porch.
07:13Cheers, Reba.
07:14Oh, thank you.
07:15You want some ice?
07:16No, I'm good.
07:17You know, being tropical, I don't really have a lot of ice.
07:20Oh, well, you aren't English, that's for sure.
07:23What?
07:25This is so lovely.
07:26Thank you for indulging us in this.
07:29I have such an affinity for your daughter.
07:31I think she would give the shirt off her back.
07:33Do you know what I mean?
07:34She's just generous, and I think that comes from you.
07:35And she's always been like that.
07:37Well, I'm so happy we're having this one-on-one time together,
07:39and I wanted to talk to you because Sutton and I have
07:41had intimate conversations.
07:44I know she loves me.
07:46I just don't ever feel like she likes me.
07:51And I don't feel like I've ever made her proud
07:53or happy as a daughter.
07:58You know, she's so proud of how far she's come,
08:02and she would just love to hear you say that you're proud of her
08:05and that you love her, too.
08:08I feel like I can say something to you.
08:10I don't think that's any of your business.
08:13I don't want to insult you, but I think you have no clue.
08:18You're right, I don't.
08:20I don't.
08:21I haven't lived with you guys.
08:22I haven't grown up with her.
08:23I don't know.
08:24You're right.
08:25I was just coming from a caring friend.
08:27Oh, you're giving me a message?
08:28Is that it?
08:30Maybe I am.
08:31Maybe I am the messenger.
08:34Why don't we transfer some flowers to you?
08:37Transfer some flowers from the living room
08:38and put them on this table.
08:40Great idea.
08:40Hello?
08:41Hello?
08:42You look so nice.
08:43Is anyone down here yet to eat?
08:45Garcelle's talking to mom.
08:46What?
08:47Yep.
08:48In that room.
08:50Right there.
08:51I mean, I think for me, my mom being gone,
08:53I miss her so much, and I wish there were
08:55things that I had said to her.
08:56Death is final, isn't it?
08:58Yes, it is.
08:58You can't call your mother up and say da-da-da-da-da-da-da.
09:02No.
09:02And I miss, I wish I could.
09:04I would give anything to do that.
09:05Would y'all like to?
09:06Join us for brunch?
09:08Yes, you look so cute.
09:10No, we've only been waiting since 8 o'clock.
09:13Why do you say things like that, mom?
09:15To show you love.
09:17Oh, OK.
09:18We all joke around that Reba's tough,
09:20and Sutton obviously knows her mom's tough.
09:22Ma'am, thank you for your time.
09:25Oh, you're welcome.
09:26That'll be $1,000.
09:28Somewhere along the way, Reba got really hurt and shut down,
09:32and that's what we're seeing.
09:34No.
09:35I know.
09:35Still I know why.
09:37Sutton had a relationship with her dad
09:38that she didn't have with her mom.
09:41I think there was some jealousy there.
09:44What?
09:45Can I help you with anything?
09:46No.
09:46Let's eat.
09:47Great.
09:48This is a great color.
09:49They gave those to me, because I ordered like 100 napkins.
09:52Oh.
09:52I get that.
09:53I get that.
09:54I get that.
09:56Oh, gosh.
09:57It's so nice.
09:58Maybe we should move those.
09:59We did it to be pretty.
10:00Do you want me to, here, give it to me?
10:01Do you mind?
10:02We put them, that wasn't a good idea.
10:04Don't put it over there.
10:05This is so nice.
10:08Oh, these grits are good.
10:10You didn't have any.
10:13OK, never mind.
10:13I'm going to next.
10:14She thinks you put sugar on them.
10:17Some people eat them with sugar, but I don't get that.
10:19Only northern people.
10:21I love your home so much.
10:23I love all the houses in Augusta.
10:24They're all kind of different.
10:26The house where we grew up was built in 1933?
10:291938.
10:301938.
10:31So I was thinking that I might take them by and see it.
10:36It's just around the corner.
10:38It is just around the corner.
10:41I want to go back to my childhood home.
10:42There's one big reason.
10:43I want to show Kyle and Garcelle where I grew up,
10:46because I did love that house, and it was wonderful.
10:49All of us had great memories in that house
10:52until December 23, 2002.
10:59So we're going to go see that house today.
11:00Yeah, and we're going inside.
11:02No, we're not going inside.
11:04Somebody lives there.
11:09Well, we might ring the doorbell.
11:11Oh, Horace, no.
11:12You don't want to go inside?
11:13I'm definitely not going.
11:15No.
11:17So when my dad shot himself, my mother was home.
11:20She was in the kitchen.
11:21She knew that he was taking sleeping pills.
11:23He was taking Xanax.
11:24He was self-medicating with alcohol.
11:26There was a loaded gun in the house,
11:28and he shot himself right then and there.
11:36So maybe I do have a little pinned-up resentment.
11:41There, I said it.
11:44All right, so what's next?
11:45We've been sitting here a long time.
11:47Thank you for this.
11:47This is really, really yummy.
11:53No.
11:55No, no, no.
11:57I'm going to go grab my purse upstairs.
11:58What are you doing?
11:59We're going to go see the house.
12:01Oh, that's a lot I just said.
12:05We don't talk about this.
12:08I'll give you a full report.
12:10I don't want one.
12:11How the hell did these things go?
12:14Coming up, at my age, it would be better to have
12:17a child sooner rather than later.
12:20How do you feel about that?
12:25Oh.
12:40There you are.
12:41Are you ready?
12:42OK, well, first off, this place is a disaster.
12:44But look at what's happening in here.
12:47Erica!
12:49Oh my god, the cabana's getting evasive.
12:52The cabana is getting a whole new life.
12:56The wallpaper is going to go in over the weekend.
12:59But wait.
13:00OK.
13:00Who?
13:01Ah!
13:03Look at what some paint will do for a hallway.
13:06It's so exciting, Duri.
13:08I've been under a microscope since the day I left Tom.
13:11You know, financially, socially, emotionally.
13:15I couldn't have done anything right.
13:17So God forbid I spend anything I make.
13:20No way.
13:21You put a bow?
13:23I am blown away.
13:25I mean, there were some people that
13:26said I shouldn't even be able to work and have money.
13:30I've always loved this little house.
13:31But the energy has changed so much.
13:33You know, I just can't thank Martin enough.
13:35Like, this is huge for me.
13:37And you deserve it.
13:38Thanks.
13:39I appreciate that.
13:40After four to almost five years of hell,
13:45I'm excited about life again.
13:47And I feel really good about that.
13:49Because that's a signal to myself that you're
13:52returning back to normal.
13:54You're getting there.
13:55You're slowly making your way back to a place
13:57that you recognize.
13:58I'm not someone that sleeps till noon.
14:00And I was.
14:01I was sleeping till noon.
14:04If I got out of the bed.
14:05It's been a journey.
14:06And I feel good about it, you know?
14:07Shit.
14:15I got us some snacks.
14:17Ooh.
14:18This is so fancy.
14:19Look at what I got.
14:20This is white chocolate.
14:21This is caramel.
14:22And these are brownies.
14:23That's some sort of donut hole.
14:24And then these are some sort of cookie stick.
14:27Ooh, I'm so excited.
14:28Wait, these look so good.
14:29Girl, you're not supposed to eat it just like that.
14:31You're supposed to dip it.
14:32No, oh.
14:33OK, wait.
14:34Do we need any tea?
14:35Yeah.
14:36Or something to drink?
14:39Here you go.
14:40Do you want me to put it right here?
14:41Yeah.
14:42I'm going to put it right here.
14:43Do you want me to put it right here?
14:44Yeah.
14:46Lael and I are really, really tight.
14:49It's just been her and I for 10 years.
14:51You know, what I do affects her.
14:53What she does affects me.
14:54Like, there's no one else.
14:56What's been going on?
14:57Volleyball and my friends.
15:00Your little friends.
15:02Why do you say it like that?
15:03What, your little friends?
15:03Yeah.
15:04You want me to say your big friends?
15:06My what?
15:06My big friends?
15:08Are we your big friends?
15:09Big friends are good.
15:11Look, I realize that I brought up a very serious topic
15:15while we were working out.
15:17I do think it's important that you get to know Keeley.
15:19Because, you know, we're getting serious.
15:21And I want you to have a good relationship with him.
15:23Yeah.
15:24Wait, quick question.
15:25How long have you been dating Mr. Keeley?
15:27Oh, eight months.
15:29Because you told me in December.
15:30Yeah.
15:31But I don't know if you guys were officially dating yet.
15:33You just said you were friend.
15:34And then you gave me eyebrows.
15:35So I didn't know exactly what that meant.
15:38You were like, so one of my friends is coming to Ghana.
15:45Girl, why are you imitating me like that?
15:47That's not how I talk.
15:48You probably did it.
15:49But I didn't know if you guys were, like, dating, dating.
15:51Yeah, we were dating, dating.
15:52At that point, I mean, a man's going
15:53to fly all the way halfway across the world to see you.
15:56The first time Lael met Keeley was when he spontaneously
15:59showed up in Ghana.
16:00And I had to quickly explain to her that, like, OK,
16:03so this guy I'm dating is coming to visit us.
16:06And she was like, where, in Ghana?
16:09And I'm like, yeah.
16:10Things, by the way, are moving for me and for Keeley
16:13in a way that is surprising for all of us, you know?
16:16And as you know, your mom is not a spring chicken.
16:22OK.
16:23And at my age, it would be better for us
16:26if we wanted to have a child to do it sooner rather than later.
16:30How do you feel about that?
16:36I feel good about it.
16:37Really?
16:38I feel OK with it, yeah.
16:39Tell me why you're OK with it.
16:40Like, I don't want you to be, I'm thinking the right words.
16:47Use any words.
16:49I'll be leaving.
16:51And then you won't have, like, a kid to raise anymore.
16:55Do you want me to have a kid because you're
16:56afraid I'm going to be lonely?
16:59I think our bond is changing, but not in a bad way,
17:02in, like, an evolving way.
17:04And now I kind of want you to share
17:06that bond with someone else.
17:07OK.
17:08I am shocked at this response.
17:14I don't even know how she came to this.
17:18Where is my baby, who threw a tantrum when I suggested
17:22that there'd be another sibling?
17:24I'm just so thankful that she's open to this.
17:27And what about Keeley?
17:30Well, I think we kind of did it backwards.
17:32I'm like, would you accept a baby?
17:33Then I'm like, would you accept Keeley?
17:35I'm like, no.
17:36I would not, actually.
17:37You're like, I want you to have the baby on your own.
17:39No, no, no.
17:41Well, I love you.
17:42I love you, too.
17:43Coming up.
17:45I remember when he died, I wouldn't come in this room.
17:47Because this is him.
17:50Yeah.
17:56Hi, Reba.
17:57She can talk.
17:58I'm obsessed with your mom.
18:00Oh, sorry.
18:01I'll only walk that way.
18:02Oh, OK, I'll go on the other side.
18:03No, no, no, no, no.
18:04It's OK.
18:04No, I'm right here.
18:05I'm literally, like, I was going to.
18:07These people are expecting us, right?
18:09Yeah.
18:10My good friend, who knows the current owners, arranged it.
18:13Oh, OK.
18:14We should take a left here.
18:16It's so beautiful.
18:17Now look, this was the hill.
18:19We would ride our bikes down the hill.
18:20And it seemed so big to me when I was little.
18:22This is like a scene out of Forrest Gump.
18:23This is the one part of the trip that I'm
18:25not looking forward to.
18:26Because the last place she saw her dad,
18:29I don't know what the emotions are going to be like.
18:32And that scares me.
18:35Oh, God, oh, God, oh, God, oh, God, oh, God, oh, God.
18:37OK.
18:39OK.
18:40Oh, should we get out?
18:41I don't know.
18:43Are you changing your mind?
18:44Yeah.
18:45Are you OK?
18:46Yeah.
18:48I mean, it's just a house, you know?
18:52No, it's got memories.
18:53I know.
18:59Oh, shit.
19:00Come on.
19:01Do I just walk in the gate?
19:02Yes, go ahead.
19:03Oh, OK.
19:03Oh, wow, OK.
19:06OK.
19:07Hi.
19:09How are you?
19:10Good, how are you?
19:12Thank you for letting us come in.
19:13It's our pleasure.
19:15I'm Sutton.
19:15I'm Maureen.
19:16Nice to meet you, Maureen.
19:18OK, I'm just going to warn you.
19:19There might be some tears.
19:21That's OK.
19:22Of course.
19:23We want you to just walk through the house
19:24and just take as much time.
19:26And yeah, just.
19:27That's really sweet of you.
19:29This is almost sort of the last step for me in my healing
19:33journey about my father.
19:34Thank you again for letting us do that.
19:38Yes.
19:40I want to say goodbye to him.
19:43I loved him so much and miss him every day.
19:49Well, I'll show you my room first.
19:52I changed this bed from here to here, here to here.
19:55If only we'd have a little variety in our lifestyle.
19:57Exactly.
19:58Move the beds.
19:58It's a good room.
20:01The breakfast room is really different.
20:03You know, I had the great privilege
20:06of being a daddy's girl.
20:09He didn't say a lot, but he liked me being in the kitchen
20:11with him, you know, making chili.
20:13And mom was a terrible cook.
20:16She did, like, frozen fish sticks.
20:19So it went from really great food to really terrible food.
20:21Beds moved a lot.
20:22It's a nice-sized room.
20:23Is this your bathroom?
20:24This is my parents' room, yeah.
20:26I always liked these scrambled egg sandwiches
20:28he would make on white bread with mayonnaise.
20:30People think they sound disgusting,
20:31but they are delicious.
20:33We just were very close.
20:36This was cool because my dad designed it,
20:39and then he also built it.
20:40Wow.
20:41And there was a wood-burning stove.
20:44He would actually make pancakes on that thing.
20:46John T.
20:48But I'm going to tell y'all something.
20:51This is the last spot where I saw my dad alive.
20:57And I can remember it so clearly.
20:59I was leaving for one of my last dance performances, actually.
21:02And I remember saying goodbye to him, and I tugged on his toe.
21:07He was real sick.
21:09Got him very out of it.
21:11And he died the next day.
21:13Whenever I would pass the sofa in high school
21:16or whenever, he would always hold his hand out,
21:18and I would slap, and he'd, like, do that.
21:21He'd give me a thumbs up sometimes.
21:23And he was on that sofa, and it just, he was out of it.
21:28And I was leaving, and he didn't put his hand out.
21:35I thought it was a little strange,
21:36and so I just grabbed his big toe and kind of pulled on it.
21:41And that was the last time I saw him.
21:47And I just, you know, those moments
21:49where you think I should have, like,
21:51sat with him or something.
21:55Like, beyond the tug toe.
21:59Because I'd come here to get some wine for the party
22:02after the performance, and just those little moments.
22:06This is weird.
22:08I wish I'd sat down, even for five minutes.
22:12And I feel really bad that I didn't.
22:15I was just so selfish of me.
22:20Just five minutes.
22:23Last time I saw him, I remember when he died,
22:27I wouldn't come in this room.
22:28It took me months.
22:32I just, I would stand over there.
22:33I couldn't come in.
22:35Because this is him.
22:38Yeah.
22:40You never know.
22:41No.
22:41You OK?
22:42Yeah.
22:44Yeah.
22:45I can't believe Mom said, when I said,
22:47I'll give you the full report, she said, I don't want it.
22:49I don't want it.
22:50It's probably painful for her, too.
22:52Of course.
22:54I think that my mother has had a rough go since my dad's
22:58death, or maybe before.
23:00And I want the next phase of my mother's life
23:05to be happy, and peaceful, and fun, and not strained.
23:13This is like years of therapy.
23:15Yeah.
23:16That I didn't have to pay for.
23:17She means a lot to me.
23:19And I want to make things right.
23:23Things have not been right since my father died.
23:25Thank y'all.
23:26Y'all enjoy it.
23:28Coming out with a smile.
23:29That was way more than I ever expected that to be.
23:32Me too, me too, me too.
23:46Hi, how are you?
23:47Table for three.
23:48Right over there.
23:49Perfect.
23:49Could I grab some water while you're waiting?
23:51Yes, some still would be great.
23:52Absolutely, I'll be right back.
23:54Thank you so much.
23:54You're very welcome.
23:58Hey, Ruthie.
23:59Hey.
24:00How you doing?
24:01Oh my goodness, I love it.
24:02Oh, you look so beautiful.
24:06Oh, that looks fantastic.
24:07Well, hello there.
24:09Hello.
24:09Well, yes.
24:10Hello, gorgeous girl.
24:11You look beautiful.
24:13Yes.
24:14Hello, gorgeous girl.
24:15You look great.
24:16Hey, boo.
24:17Where are you going after this?
24:18I know.
24:19Look, the girl need to get out.
24:20You look hot.
24:21Celebrating life.
24:23Thank you so much.
24:25I mean, by the way, here's a drink menu.
24:26Oh, thank you.
24:27She's going to have the same old thing.
24:29Yes, I am.
24:30Belvedere soda with three lemons and no rind.
24:34You're welcome.
24:35Have you guys seen each other since Kathy?
24:36Which, by the way, I had a nice time.
24:38Oh, did you have a great time?
24:39I literally was just like, now see,
24:41this table setting right here, I don't even
24:43know where to begin.
24:45How beautiful.
24:46Oh my gosh, this is absolutely beautiful.
24:49I got to, like, change my plate setting.
24:52What do you recommend?
24:53Definitely Best Sellers up top are
24:55going to be the Great Woodfire Pizza
24:56oven for our pizza course.
24:57All our pastas are made fresh in-house daily.
24:59You want a pizza?
24:59Let's get a pizza.
25:00Thank you so much.
25:01You're very welcome.
25:02Could I grab you another drink?
25:03Yeah, gotcha.
25:04I have to update you on so many things.
25:06Do it right now.
25:07Oh, god.
25:08OK, so.
25:11Y'all are some really ridiculous people.
25:14OK, so Keely and I have talked about having a baby.
25:17We've actually never said the words,
25:19I love you to each other.
25:20Wait a minute, that's what?
25:21Look at both of you.
25:22Look at both of you.
25:23Whoa.
25:24OK, let's back up.
25:25Hold on.
25:26I need that moment.
25:27Whoa, I need two moments.
25:29OK, why I want him to say it first,
25:31I want to know that that's what he's feeling.
25:34I can hear that.
25:35I feel that.
25:36I do love him.
25:37I'm sure you do.
25:38And there are moments when I want to say it,
25:40and I'm like, ah!
25:41He has to say it first.
25:42I kind of agree.
25:43No disrespect, but having a baby,
25:46but not telling the man I love you.
25:50OK.
25:52Then, all right, what are we doing?
25:55Slather margarita pizza in you.
25:57Thank you, that looks delicious.
25:59Thank you so much, sweetheart.
26:01What do you think is going on?
26:02I don't know.
26:03I think it's as simple as, Keely,
26:04do you think it's weird that we haven't said,
26:06I love you to one another?
26:07No, I'm not saying that.
26:08Hell no, what are you, fucking nuts?
26:09No, because I don't want him to be that, oh no,
26:11but I love you.
26:12Don't do what she said.
26:13That's not a good idea.
26:15Don't force the situation.
26:17I am acting on the belief that Keely loves me.
26:21I know he's going to say the words.
26:23We love each other.
26:24I know that.
26:25Do you consider that you are dating for marriage?
26:27Yeah, that's the only reason I date.
26:30Where are we in that process?
26:31It is me and you.
26:32Right.
26:33So why not continue the conversations about baby
26:37and marriage and our future while we
26:40build the words together?
26:43I don't see anything wrong with that, really.
26:46You guys have spoke to PK.
26:47What?
26:48Wait, what?
26:49How is that?
26:50You mother fucker.
26:51How are we even in this conversation?
26:53OK, wait a second.
26:54What did he say?
26:55I pick up the phone and we start talking like we're friends.
27:00No, you didn't.
27:01This is a lie.
27:03I mean, where's my lipstick?
27:06I'm talking to him and there is the father of my children.
27:12The man that I believed no longer existed.
27:16Let me not, I don't want you to get confused.
27:18I'm not.
27:19Erica, this is not a reconciliation.
27:22So what was it?
27:23This was very much, I asked him, I said,
27:25I need you to just slow down a little bit.
27:27OK.
27:28And let's just communicate.
27:29We can't be at war and the kids be OK.
27:33This is about you and not about the kids.
27:36You're asking him to slow down because you
27:38want to catch your breath.
27:39It's not about the kids.
27:40I need you, you're absolutely right,
27:42but you have to understand something.
27:44Catching my breath is about the kids.
27:46Guys, I want to explain it so it's not a confusing.
27:50No, I'm just trying to ask where you ended up.
27:53The conversation was a hell of a lot better and different
27:58than I thought it would be.
27:59It feels like a trick.
28:01No.
28:02That I can guarantee you.
28:03All right.
28:03Because he's not that person.
28:07So who is that person?
28:10That's PK raging.
28:14Stop side-eyeing.
28:16PK is ruthless.
28:17He's ruthless in business, which means
28:19he will be ruthless in the business of divorce.
28:22I keep yelling from the mountaintop, hey,
28:26you need to take shelter.
28:27No one is listening to me.
28:29He needs to calm you down.
28:31This is the art of war right here.
28:33He needs to calm you down so that you don't act
28:35and so he can act.
28:37But what does that mean, though?
28:38What advantage is that?
28:40I don't understand the advantage.
28:41The advantage is that he wants to have the upper hand.
28:44If you are cornered like any animal,
28:47you're going to strike.
28:48He's afraid of how smart you are and how you will strike.
28:51He's calming you down so he can run the show.
28:53He's calming you down.
28:55He's calming you down so he can run the bases on you.
28:58Correct.
28:59Because legally, he can go around town
29:01and scoop up everybody so that you don't have good counsel.
29:04Dorit needs to keep her eyes open.
29:06A divorce is going to come.
29:08It's going to take her totally by surprise.
29:10She's going to get the shorter end of the stick.
29:12You can't just stand still and wait
29:14for him to do things to you.
29:18You can't be a victim.
29:19You think this is a game?
29:20Yes.
29:21Wake up.
29:23Whoa.
29:24Holy s***.
29:31Coming up.
29:33Why would you think I wouldn't be proud of you?
29:34Because you don't say it.
29:36I don't need to.
29:48Hi.
29:48Hey.
29:49Do you have that Parmesan cheese?
29:51See, I couldn't open up your messages
29:53about those ingredients.
29:55Why don't you go in the kitchen and look at the ingredients
29:58and see if you need anything.
30:00OK.
30:01See you soon.
30:04Hello?
30:05Hi.
30:06Hi, I'm just going outside.
30:08It's beautiful here.
30:09We had a little dinner, the girls and I, the other night.
30:12You see the flowers?
30:14Yes, beautiful.
30:15But don't forget, we're on a FaceTime.
30:17Don't put the phone to your ear.
30:19Oh, OK.
30:20OK.
30:21So I'm sitting outside.
30:23I'm getting late.
30:24Hold on a minute.
30:25Am I doing this right?
30:26Yeah, now he's in the top of your hat.
30:28By the way, Mo and Portia leave today for Europe.
30:31Portia and I travel to London.
30:33We're picking up her best friends.
30:35And then we're going to go to either Madrid or to Mallorca.
30:40He's dropping her off, you know, like a guided tour.
30:43We're a little chaperoned.
30:44And then he goes off for, like, four days to, like, Switzerland
30:48for, like, a meditation thing.
30:49And then he goes to meet P.K. and Glenn at Santa Fe.
30:52Oh, that's great, to go and meditate and be all certain.
30:56Zen, and then go off and party and undo it all.
30:59I know.
31:00Hi.
31:01Where's your mother?
31:05Sutton!
31:06Let's go find your mother.
31:07Let's go.
31:08Did my mother text you?
31:10No.
31:11She didn't get my, um, I need, there's no bread.
31:19My mom got that.
31:21Gluten-free.
31:23I asked for a very specific kind.
31:25Then I needed cucumber, no cucumber in this salad.
31:30Then this, no.
31:32How can I help?
31:32Hi.
31:33You can't.
31:33I'm just checking on these groceries.
31:35Where's Reba?
31:36So I texted her, and she couldn't read it.
31:40She couldn't open up my notes.
31:42I said, once, when you get on your Wi-Fi, you could open it.
31:45It just needs to download.
31:46I thought she got it done.
31:48I don't get it.
31:49I was very, very, very specific.
31:52I love crab cakes.
31:54My dad always made the best crab cakes.
31:56The best.
31:57And he gave me his recipe.
31:59I need iceberg lettuce.
32:00That is the most important part.
32:03My mother loved them so much when he would make them.
32:07Even the day after he died, she made me make them
32:11for Christmas Eve supper.
32:13I burned them.
32:16We have to have the iceberg lettuce.
32:18I'll run and get it.
32:19Come in.
32:21Sutton's a little stressed out.
32:23And I don't know how it's going to go.
32:25I told her I have zero expectations.
32:27This is about getting it off her chest, and that's it.
32:29Right.
32:29The woman's 82 years old.
32:30It's not about changing her.
32:32No.
32:33Sutton is a little on edge.
32:35And I think that's understandable.
32:37She has been putting off this conversation
32:40that she has wanted to have with her mom for a long time.
32:43So I think it's really building up.
32:46And she's scared.
32:47That's what this is all about.
32:48She's scared.
32:50I'm waiting on my mother.
32:52Should we send Cheryl to go check up on her?
32:55Yeah.
32:56Cheryl, could you go check up on Reva, please?
32:58OK.
33:00OK, Dixie, I'm leaving you for a while.
33:02But I'll be back in a little while.
33:04So don't worry.
33:07She's ready for you to come over.
33:09Well, I'm on the way.
33:13OK, bye, Dixie.
33:17Woo!
33:19Welcome to the humidity.
33:23Hello?
33:24Hello.
33:25I'm here.
33:27Good.
33:28Oh, some pickled okra?
33:33I love pickled okra.
33:36Do you want to have a seat?
33:37But, Avi, what are you doing?
33:43Sit.
33:44I'll make the crabmeat patties while we're talking.
33:47This is my capsule collection.
33:51This is your what?
33:52My capsule collection.
33:54This is what we've been working on.
33:56This is my all-sustainable green line
33:59that IJ for Sutton brings.
34:00Oh, yes, right.
34:00Yeah, yeah, yeah.
34:01The past two and a half years, I've
34:03been working very hard on my new business.
34:04We have started Sutton Green Line.
34:07And under that, I'm going to do a series of capsules.
34:11I liked this skirt.
34:13I would wear this skirt.
34:15So all the pieces that Brian just showed us,
34:17those are our first capsule.
34:18It's part of the first capsule.
34:19For almost all of my life, I've been wanting
34:23acceptance from my mother.
34:25She was always a career woman.
34:27And I'm so proud of her.
34:29I just want it to be reciprocated.
34:32Is this real?
34:33Yes, it is real leather.
34:35Oh, this is a jumpsuit.
34:36It's a trench.
34:37So this-
34:38Oh, really?
34:38It's really cute on, this jumpsuit.
34:41I just tried it on last week.
34:43It would look awful on me.
34:46Well, it's very complicated.
34:49And it's very intense work, because every single piece
34:54that you see has a code that has to go to London,
34:59because that's where they're based.
35:00Oh.
35:01And it's super fast.
35:03And it all ships out from Houston.
35:04It's not easy.
35:06That reminds me of ground beef.
35:10Ground beef is labeled made in the US, and it's not.
35:13It's made in Cuba.
35:19I am going to take these products.
35:21I don't care what they are, where they're made,
35:23because I'm saving them from going to London.
35:25Well, I like that.
35:26Right.
35:27So it's not like ground beef.
35:29It's not anything like that.
35:30OK, this is good.
35:31They're talking.
35:31They're only in the clothing part.
35:33OK.
35:34OK, but still.
35:34So I'm going to cut up some lettuce.
35:36She's listening.
35:36Real fast.
35:38What would you like to drink?
35:39Do you want me to help you?
35:40What would you like?
35:41No.
35:42Do you realize I live by myself?
35:45You want me to get it up?
35:46The crab meat?
35:50Yes, please.
35:51That would be great.
35:52What time are y'all leaving tomorrow?
35:54Our flight's at 2.30.
35:56At 2.30?
36:01Why are these spoons in here?
36:03Are we having caviar?
36:06No.
36:07Who put this ice into the ice maker?
36:10Don't tell me.
36:11I already know.
36:13Have you eaten yet?
36:14No.
36:15Well, I have these dip things.
36:17I don't like stuff like that.
36:22So I was talking to John Clark last night.
36:25I don't know if she gets me or understands what I do.
36:29Oh, I think so.
36:30Really?
36:31I mean, she didn't say that.
36:33You just have ESP?
36:34Yeah, you can tell.
36:36I can't tell.
36:37I feel like she's so guarded.
36:40Well, I mean, you know, does she think about what
36:43she does for a living?
36:44I know, but we are not her patients.
36:47I was like, I just don't know if mom understands what I do
36:50or is proud at all.
36:55Why?
36:56Why are you making that face?
36:57I don't understand that.
36:59You don't understand what?
37:00I don't understand any of that.
37:01Any of what?
37:02Why would you think I wouldn't be proud of you?
37:07I guess because you don't say it.
37:09I don't need to.
37:15Why would you think I wouldn't be proud of you?
37:19I guess because you don't say it.
37:21I don't need to.
37:26Well, maybe I need for you to.
37:27Well, OK, I'm proud of you.
37:30See, to me, it's kind of like saying I love you.
37:33It's so trite and so inconsequential.
37:37And people just say, oh, I love you.
37:39It's overused.
37:42I think your prelude to this point
37:46is I was the way I was because I always
37:49wanted to be a professional working woman.
37:52And that got impressed on you.
37:55And so you have actually become me.
38:00As a professional working woman.
38:04Yeah, it just took me time because I wanted
38:06to stay home with the children.
38:08Oh, that's fine.
38:09Well, you gave me grief on it for a little bit.
38:12So what does that matter?
38:14You did it anyway.
38:15Yeah.
38:16And I don't think it's trite to tell your children
38:19that you're proud of them.
38:20I don't think it's trite to tell your children
38:23that you love them.
38:24You know, I've thought about that
38:25because that seems to be an issue with not only you,
38:28but some of your friends.
38:30I have to go back to the way I was raised.
38:32OK.
38:32Which was WWII post.
38:36And in those days, like, nobody ever told me I was pretty
38:40when I was growing up.
38:41Mm-hmm.
38:42And it didn't matter whether I was pretty or ugly.
38:45I kept going because that was the way it was in those days.
38:49Mm-hmm.
38:50Remember, in those days, mothers put their babies in the crib
38:53and they cried.
38:55OK, well, I guess if it's trite to you,
39:00I certainly don't want to make you do anything
39:02that is not real for you.
39:05Mm-hmm.
39:05I just wanted to let you know how I feel.
39:09Oh, thank you very much for telling me that.
39:11You know, I have my show.
39:13I'm doing a fashion show for this capsule.
39:16And it's a big deal for me.
39:19I know that you don't like to travel,
39:22but it would be really great if you could.
39:24I don't mind traveling at all.
39:28OK.
39:29I might could come to California.
39:32I think I could do that.
39:36That would speak volumes to me.
39:41Does that mean I'd have to sleep in Phillip's room?
39:48Where would you like to sleep?
39:50I don't know, is the aquarium still in there?
39:51Because I can't sleep with that fish in there.
39:55I just want better.
39:58We can do better.
40:00I know we can.
40:01Yeah.
40:04I'm just, like, overwhelmed that she's saying we can do better.
40:10And it gives me such hope for our relationship going forward.
40:14I'm coming in for the hug.
40:15You don't have to hug me back, but I'm coming in.
40:17It means I have to stand up.
40:18No, you don't.
40:19No, I'll hug you.
40:22And now I'm going to make crab cakes.
40:25That was a good one.
40:29What?
40:29Your hair was in my face.
40:33OK.
40:34I'm going to bring my friends down.
40:37Excuse me, Mom.
40:42I'm calling you down.
40:43We're already down.
40:46What?
40:47Are you OK?
40:48Yes.
40:49It all went really well.
40:52It was very calm.
40:54Good.
40:54She's coming to the fashion show?
40:56I'm so proud of you.
40:57Yes.
40:59I'm exhausted.
41:00Do you feel better?
41:01I do.
41:02Actually, I do.
41:03Good.
41:04OK, well, now I can make these crab cakes.
41:08Open wide.
41:14Well, dinner is ready.
41:15I smell crab cakes.
41:16I know.
41:17It smells really good.
41:19Sutton, I'm excited to try your crab cakes.
41:21Bon appetit.
41:22Thank you, Sutton.
41:23Mm.
41:24The salad is good.
41:26Good job.
41:27And I leave here with a smile on my face.
41:30And I want to be a better daughter.
41:33A friend.
41:34And a friend.
