00:00Mr. President, there are approximately 2 million federal employees right now.
00:05By the end of your term, what do you expect that number to be?
00:09What would you like that number to be?
00:10Well, it'll be lower, but I can't tell you.
00:12Everybody knows I ran on downsizing government, but making government better.
00:16I ran on tariffs and making our country rich, and that's what it's going to do.
00:21We're going to be doing something else that's going to be very, very good.
00:24We're going to be selling a gold card.
00:30You have a green card.
00:31This is a gold card.
00:32We're going to be putting a price on that card of about $5 billion, and that's going
00:36to give you green card privileges plus.
00:39It's going to be a route to citizenship, and wealthy people will be coming into our country
00:44by buying this card.
00:46They'll be wealthy, and they'll be successful, and they'll be spending a lot of money and
00:50paying a lot of taxes and employing a lot of people.
00:53And we think it's going to be extremely successful.
00:56Never been done before anything like this, but it's something that we're going to be
00:59putting out over the next, would you say, two weeks out?
01:02Two weeks.
01:03Do you want to say a couple of words about it?
01:04Sure.
01:05Mr. President-
01:06Wait a minute.
01:07Hold on a second.
01:08Do you have to invest a certain amount of money in this country in order to qualify
01:11for that gold card?
01:12Yeah, exactly.
01:13So the EB-5 program was really, you lend some money, but it was full of nonsense, make believe
01:23in fraud, and it was a way to get a green card that was low-priced.
01:27So the president said, rather than having this sort of ridiculous EB-5 program, we're
01:31going to end the EB-5 program, we're going to replace it with the Trump gold card, which
01:37is really a green card gold, so they'll be able to pay $5 million to the U.S. government.
01:42They'll have to go through vetting, of course.
01:44We're going to make sure they're wonderful, world-class, global citizens.
01:48They can come to America.
01:50The president can give them a green card, and they can invest in America, and we can
01:55use that money to reduce our deficit.
01:59Why do we give out lotteries of green cards?
02:01Why do we give out EB-5 for green cards?
02:03The president of the United States understands that the right answer is, why don't we eliminate
02:08the deficit of the United States of America instead?
02:12The gold card, the gold card, well, millions, but the gold card will bring in with it people
02:20that create jobs, very high-level people.
02:25I think companies will pay to get people in.
02:27For instance, you today graduate from the Wharton School of Finance or Harvard or Stanford
02:36or any college, and nobody knows if you can even go to work for a company.
02:42So Apple and all these companies that want to get people to be working for them will
02:47be able to buy a card.
02:50For the people that are number one in their class at top schools, I see that as one of
02:55the things.
02:56But generally speaking, it'll be people with money and people that create jobs.
03:00They won't have to pay any tax on income outside of the United States, which they're not paying
03:05right now.
03:06They're not citizens.
03:07But they'll have to pay if they create jobs in the United States, they'll pay full taxes
03:11like everybody else.
03:12So you're getting big taxpayers, big job producers, and we'll be able to sell maybe a million
03:19of these cards, maybe more than that.
03:22And if you add up the numbers, they're pretty good.
03:24As an example, a million cards would be worth five trillion dollars, five trillion.
03:30And if you sell 10 million of the cards, that's a total of 50 trillion dollars.
03:36Well, we have 35 trillion in debt.
03:38That'd be nice.
03:39So we'll see.
03:40It could be great.
03:42Maybe it will be fantastic.
03:46We have it all worked out from the legal standpoint.
03:49It's totally legal to do.
03:52Has it been done before?
03:53It's been done in many different forms.
03:54We give them away.
03:56Why should we give them away?
03:57We shouldn't give them away.
03:59And I think it's something very exciting.
04:01I think it's potentially just something that we're all very excited about.
04:06So it's a gold card.
04:08It's somewhat like a green card, but at a higher level of sophistication.
04:13It's a road to citizenship for people and essentially people of wealth or people of
04:18great talent, where people of wealth pay for those people of talent to get in, meaning
04:23companies will pay for people to get in and to have long long term status in the country.
04:31And I think it's something we're very, very happy about.
