A massive one trillion-ton iceberg, known as A23a, has broken free and is now heading toward South Georgia Island in the South Atlantic Ocean! This mega iceberg, which has been stuck to the ocean floor since 1986, finally started drifting in 2020—and now, it’s on a potential collision course with a crucial wildlife breeding ground.

If it crashes, it could block access to essential feeding and nesting areas for penguins, seals, and albatrosses. But there’s hope! Scientists believe the iceberg might run aground before reaching the island, possibly even helping marine life by stirring up nutrient-rich waters.

Will this be a disaster for wildlife or an unexpected natural phenomenon? Watch now to find out!
