Critical Role wurde mit Streams zu Dungeons & Dragons weltberühmt und hat einen großen Anteil daran, dass die Popularität dieses Rollenspiels in den letzten Jahren in die Höhe schoss. Doch seit einiger Zeit wagen sich die beliebten Synchronsprecher auch daran, ganz eigene Rollenspiel-Systeme auf den Markt zu bringen. Mit Daggerheart erlauben sie sich nun sogar einen direkten Angriff auf D&D, denn das System soll ebenfalls klassische Fantasy darstellen und setzt auf viele aus D&D bekannte Klassen und Mechaniken. Am 20. Mai 2025 soll das erste Regelbuch für das neue Rollenspiel-System erscheinen.
