Accessibility changes to national building code ‘exciting’, but disability advocate says more could be done

Most new homes built in Australia must include step free entrances, as well as wider doorways and hallways, in a bid to make future homes more accessible. All states and territories, expect New South Wales and Western Australia, have formally adopted new design standards over the past few years. But disability advocates say more should be done to make homes inclusive for all.
