00:00Yeah, absolutely, Trent. And as we did mention, they didn't win, but historic gains for the
00:06AFD. The European markets have already reacted to the results we saw in Germany. Was the
00:13economy a really big factor for voters when they came to make their decision?
00:19Look, all of the polling suggests it was, and it's probably no surprise. Germany right
00:24now is on the verge of having its third year of contraction. It would be the longest period
00:30of contraction since the end of World War II. It's also having major issues with unemployment,
00:36with inflation. Much of that has been driven by the war in Ukraine, because previous to
00:41that conflict, Germany got most of its energy from Russia through gas supplies. That was
00:45all cut off in the wake of that war, meaning they've had to sort of scramble to find alternative
00:50energy sources. But it's really caused economic problems, particularly in big industry like
00:56the automakers. And I think in many ways, voters punished Olaf Scholz for that, the
01:01current chancellor, given some of those economic problems. The AFD, though, also did try to
01:05make headwind on that issue alongside a number of other issues, including immigration, law
01:10and order.
