00:10to help with an illegal electronic waste probe.
00:13The Ayer Kero Magistrates' Court on Tuesday granted the remand order for the 18 individuals
00:19aged between 34 and 62.
00:22The individuals comprise 13 men and 5 women.
00:25They were arrested on Monday and taken to the Malacca-Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission's
00:30headquarters for questioning.
00:32The arrests were part of an integrated operation conducted by the MACC against those who allegedly
00:39bribed enforcement personnel to process and dispose of prohibited e-waste.
00:45The MACC has said that the operation was carried out in collaboration with the Environment
00:51and Immigration Departments at 12 locations across Johor and Selangor.
