00:00The Human Resources Ministry has lodged a police report against a Bersatu member
00:06for claiming that the graphic used in a banner to promote a town hall contained elements of
00:11pluralism and secularism. The report was lodged at the Puja Jaya Police Station this morning.
00:17Bersatu's Badrul Hisham Shaharin, also known as Che Guevara, had recently questioned the
00:22Ministry's decision to use a picture of what he claimed was a church as the backdrop for
00:28the town hall banner. He had questioned whether the use of a church picture was intended to suggest
00:34that all religions are equal and argued that this was an attempt to push for pluralism and
00:39liberalism. In the police report, a Ministry representative said the graphic designer had
00:44relied on Canva, a software that provides the tools to create graphics for social media posts
00:50and presentations, among others. A Ministry source told FMT that the designer had chosen
00:55the backdrop after using the software to search for town hall related images. Natasha Bust, FMT News
