ఈ మానేరు వాగు జయశంకర్ భూపాలపల్లి జిల్లా గర్మిళ్లపల్లి, పెద్దపల్లి జిల్లా ఓడేడు గ్రామాల మధ్య ఉంది. ఇక్కడి వాహనదారుల కోసం 9 ఏళ్ల క్రితం నాటి సర్కార్‌ రూ.51 కోట్లతో వంతెన నిర్మాణానికి శ్రీకారం చుట్టింది. నిధులు త్వరగానే విడుదల కావడంతో పనులు సైతం చకచకా జరిగాయి. అయితే గతేడాది కురిసిన వర్షాలు, వరదలతో వంతెన తాలుకూ 8 గడ్డర్లు కుప్పకూలాయి. దీంతో పనులూ నిలిచిపోయాయి. నాసిరకం పనులే కారణమని భావించిన సర్కార్‌, సదరు కాంట్రాక్టర్‌కు ఉద్వాసన చెప్పి మళ్లీ టెండర్లు పిలిచింది. రూ.20 కోట్లతో టెండర్లు దక్కించుకున్న మరో కంపెనీ సైతం ఇంకా పనులు ప్రారంభించలేదు. దీన్నే ఆసరాగా తీసుకున్న అక్రమార్కులు వాగులో మట్టిరోడ్డేసే వసూళ్లకు పాల్పడుతున్నారు.
