00:20First up, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. said that the bilateral relations of the Philippines and Palau have entered a new phase.

00:31According to President Marcos Jr., the relationship between the two countries has great potential based on the discussions and agreements.

00:39These agreements are the foundation for the new phase of bilateral relations between the two countries.

00:47At a luncheon that was held by Palau President Sir Jel S. Weaves Jr. in Malacanang,

00:54President Marcos Jr. said that the visit of President Weaves only happened after a few months of a peaceful wedding in Palau.

01:04This is a reflection of the importance of these bilateral relations for Palau.

01:11President Marcos Jr. also congratulated Palau President Weaves on their successful and peaceful wedding in November 2024.

01:18This is a demonstration of the strength of the democracy of Palau.

01:23President Marcos Jr. also thanked President Weaves for ensuring the safety of more than 4,000 Filipinos in Palau

01:30and for recognizing the contribution of our countrymen in their economy and society in Palau.

01:36Meanwhile, the Philippines and Palau have agreed to strengthen cooperation in the maritime, labor, health, and education sectors.

01:44President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. also promised that he will support the renewable energy and construction sectors of Palau

01:51where there are Philippine companies that offer cost-effective and quality materials.

01:56President Marcos Jr. feels the continued strength of the relationship between the two countries.
