00:00Can we talk about it the Associated Press? Sure, I'd love to.
00:04Is it censorship to tell them they can't go into the Oval or on Air Force One?
00:10Their argument that this administration is not standing up for the First Amendment is
00:15preposterous. You have a President of the United States who within hours of taking the oath of
00:22office, welcomed journalists into the most intimate corner of the American presidency,
00:27the Oval Office, to ask him questions for more than an hour on every topic under the sun.
00:34He has done that on a near daily basis. And when he's not doing that,
00:38because he's too busy with meetings, even though he'd love to do it every day.
00:42I, as his press secretary, am out there. We have administration officials going to the cameras
00:47every single day. They are hearing from this White House and this admin.
00:50Their transparency is off the charts. And the Associated Press still has their White House
00:56credentials. They still have a seat in the press briefing room. They are still welcome to cover
01:01this administration. But nobody has a right to enter the Oval Office. It is a privilege
01:08to cover the United States. And I said it in my first briefing. We are going to hold people
01:12accountable that push lies. And the President believes deeply that American news outlets
01:19should be reporting the truth about the Gulf of America. And that's not all with the Associated
01:24Press' style book. I mean, they don't even want to call women mothers. They want to call us
01:30birthing people. They removed Hamas from their style book for some very odd reason.
01:36I have a whole list. It's actually in my purse. I carry it around with me as a souvenir of all
01:43of the crazy things in the AP style book. So look, they are welcome to cover this White House.
01:48And there are hundreds of outlets on that campus who show up every day in good faith
01:54to cover this administration with accuracy and truthfulness that don't have the privilege of
02:00being in the Oval Office every single day because they're not the AP. Well, guess what? We're going
02:04to start giving those media outlets a seat at the table. They deserve to be in front of the
02:08Resolute Desk asking the President of the United States questions. What gives the AP greater
02:12privilege than? No, nothing should. Nothing. If they would behave the way they behaved 50 years
02:17ago, maybe they would still have their seat. Absolutely. And if you look at what's happened
02:20to them over the past 10 years, it's been complete leftist radical capture.
