00:00FRAL is helping to have a negotiation in the Philippines for the Visiting Forces Agreement or VFA
00:07and in the middle of the visit to the country of the French Carry Strike Group
00:11that is also going around in other parts of the world.
00:14The first news is from Darling Kyle.
00:18Nuclear-powered, the weight of four Eiffel Towers, has a length of 260 meters.
00:24It can carry and launch heavy aircraft such as the Rafale Marine Fighter and Hawkeye Aircrafts,
00:31as well as helicopters.
00:33This is the French aircraft carrier Char D'Egaulle, one of the largest aircraft carriers in the world.
00:41On the first occasion, the flagship of the French Navy's Carrier Strike Group went to the Philippines and arrived in Subic on Friday.
00:50The visit to the Philippines of the French Carrier Strike Group is part of Operation Clemenceau 25.
00:56From France, they started sailing last November to the Mediterranean to the Indian Ocean,
01:03and now to the Indo-Pacific region.
01:06With the deployment of the Carrier Strike Group and the support of our Philippine partners,
01:11I'm confident that this visit will pave the way for broader military cooperation between our two countries.
01:19The Philippines and France are allies in advancing international rules-based order and safeguarding freedom of expression.
01:26We are standing with the countries, and the Philippines being one,
01:31that share with us the values of international law and particularly international law of the sea.
01:37In the South China Sea, that are contrary to international law,
01:42we always state the fact that any sovereign state has to adhere to international law.
01:54Maritime co-operative activities in the West Philippine Sea were carried out by the forces of the Philippines and France.
02:00The Armed Forces of the Philippines said that aside from a show of force,
02:05in the occupied territory,
02:07this military exercise is a far-reaching display of the communication and assistance of the forces of both countries.
02:15Those exercises were very instructive.
02:18First of all, we don't have that many occasions to work with Philippine forces,
02:23but also inside such an interesting and tactical way inside those areas.
02:30So we need always to improve mutual knowledge, mutual understanding,
02:37in order to be more efficient in case of need.
02:40According to French authorities, the Clemenceau 25 mission is not directed to any country.
02:47We are building mutual knowledge, we are building experience of the area,
02:55and we are constructing bonds.
02:59And there's nothing that is declared against anybody.
03:03France still wants to have a negotiation for the Visiting Forces Agreement in the Philippines.
03:09They are just waiting for the government of the Philippines to approve the first draft they passed in October last year.
03:16That's the first news in Subic.
