Lack of public transport a barrier to growing workforce in Avalon precinct between Melbourne and Geelong

A new employment precinct in Avalon is expected to create nearly 20,000 jobs within the growing region between Melbourne and Geelong. Avalon airport has already welcomed some businesses, while the Victorian government is also planning a similar district nearby. It's seen as a job opportunity for greater Geelong which is forecast to reach a population of nearly 450,000 people by 2046. But a lack of public transport to get workers to the area is proving to be a barrier.
