00:00With regards to the safeguards, obviously NATO troops on the ground is something that
00:06is unacceptable to Russia.
00:09Does Ukraine see that as being a must in terms of guaranteeing your security?
00:15Look, Ukraine looks at something that is going to work against Russia.
00:20And we do know that the agreements signed with Russia are worth nothing.
00:24I mean, Russia has repeatedly broken the agreements that we've signed with them, or they promise
00:29us that they've resigned it, or they would be just selling outright lies.
00:34We've seen this within the last 10 years, so we're not going to trust that.
00:38Of course, having some sort of peacekeeping force on the territory of Ukraine is reassuring,
00:43be it NATO or UN-led.
00:47Also it's been rumored in the Western press that, at least it's been rumored, that some
00:52sort of guarantee has been proposed that in case of another Russian attack, Ukraine will
00:59be guaranteed an automatic NATO membership somewhere in the future.
01:04This sounds unrealistic, but this is, again, something of an option.
01:07So I think Ukraine will try to get the best possible scenario for our people and our country,
01:15but we will only trust something that really works.
01:17We will not trust something that is just written on the paper, because we do know that Russia
01:21will violate any agreement that it signs.
