Transcript
00:00My name is Caroline Lewis-Jones, I'm the Chief Executive of the RSPCA Leeds Wakefield District Branch.
00:06We're a small animal charity based in East Ardsley.
00:09We're in very grave financial difficulty at the moment.
00:13We're running a public appeal to be rescued.
00:15We rescue animals, now we need rescuing.
00:18We're running out of money rapidly.
00:21We're having to downsize our animal centre at the moment
00:25and put people on threat of redundancy, which is a heartbreaking situation.
00:29We need as much help as we can to be able to keep our doors open.
00:33If anybody out there can help, contribute to our appeal, go into our charity shops.
00:38We don't want this to happen and we're desperate for help.
00:42So if anybody out there can give us a thought, we'd be very grateful. Thank you.
00:48Q. If somebody does want to help, what way can they do that?
00:50Anybody can do anything.
00:52We'll take donations into our shops and onto eBay.
00:55People can volunteer.
00:57If they have loose change in their pocket, if they can do some fundraising activities,
01:01if they want to do a bake sale, we've got children giving us their birthday money.
01:06We have people coming in with loose change in their pocket.
01:10It's the most amazing thing.
01:12We have an amazing staff team here with volunteers and they have hearts of gold.
01:18The animals are everything to them and we really don't want to see them move out of here
01:23and not do the job that they love to do.
