00:00The operation of several government agencies continues so that the illegal pogos in the country can be seen and those who are behind the ongoing operation of the illegal pogos in the country.
00:10The center of the news is from Kenneth Paciente.
00:14The lack of government agencies is further aggravating the harassment of the illegal pogos or those who are still operating online gaming in front of their total ban in the country.
00:26According to the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission or PAOC, they continue to force operations to chase individuals who are behind the ongoing operation of the illegal pogos.
00:37In fact, 2,121 individuals have already been deported from the raids that they carried out until December 2024, while 337 individuals remain in their Pogo Custodial Facility.
00:53They are awaiting such deportation and repatriation inasmuch as we are also waiting for their legal documents, primarily their one-way travel documents, passports and or NBI clearances.
01:06PAOC also denied that they have filed a case against several Pogo personalities in the past two years, while others are already in the preliminary investigation, while they are still preparing to file additional cases.
01:20They are also currently investigating several LGUs where guerrilla pogo operations are often caught.
01:27Usually, this is a failure of their BPLO to conduct their visitorial and regulatory powers. The LGU is one of the most extensive visitorial and regulatory powers.
01:44As of now, PAOC is spending P210 million on the last Pogo workers. But if we add up the value of the items and properties seized from the illegal pogos, it is expected to reach P20 to P30 billion.
02:00Meanwhile, the Bureau of Immigration continues its action for the Pogo Bans in the country. According to Dana Sandoval, spokesperson of BI, out of the 33,863 Pogo workers in the Pag Corps, 24,779 of them downgraded their visas.
02:1822,609 of them left the country, but 11,254 remain here in the Philippines. But following their forced separation operation from last month until February, this resulted in the arrest of 518 individuals who were also charged with deportation.
02:38Most of the illegal Pogo operations now are in smaller groups, in gated communities like condominiums, residences, places where people cannot easily enter.
02:54In the face of the arrest of many individuals, the facilities where the arrested Pogo workers will remain are in danger. At the moment, there is only 100 capacity in the custodial facility. However, it is being supported by the authorities.
03:09I am not at liberty to divulge yet, but we are expecting a new big holding facility for these foreign nationals.
03:20BI is also currently monitoring the individuals who are recruiting Filipinos to work abroad under the promise of becoming customer service representatives for BPO companies. But when it comes to that, they will be working in scam hubs.
03:33They are being harmed if they do not reach the quota of those who are being scammed. And at the same time, they are being required to be part of the syndicate. Because of that, they are having a hard time asking for help from the law enforcement of the country where they are.
03:53Because technically, they are already members of the syndicate because they are with the scammers and they are getting their passports.
04:01According to BI-118, a Filipino has been victimized by this modus.
