00:00More than a hundred works of Filipino artists were shown in an auction preview in Makati City.

00:06And the proceeds will be used to help other Filipino artists.

00:26These are just a few of the works painted by Filipino artists

00:29that were shown in an auction preview in the Leon Gallery in Makati City.

00:35First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos is the one leading the ribbon cutting and auction preview.

00:41The works will be auctioned on Saturday by the Asian Cultural Council.

00:45The proceeds will be used to help other Filipino artists.

00:50This is an auction to help our Filipino artists find grants and scholarships.

01:03The ACC has been doing auctions for the past 10 years.

01:06We're very proud that nine of our artists have become Filipino National Artists.

01:13It's a very important organization.

01:16And with your help, we're able to help more artists realize their dreams.

01:21One of the important art pieces included in the auction is this painting

01:26called Septiembre a la Siete de la Tarde en Tres Juncos.

01:31It's an abstract painting made by Fernando Zubel in the 1960s.

01:36This painting is worth Php 12 million.

01:40It's very important because it was featured in Time Magazine.

01:44This painting is a gift from the Mayor of Puenca in Spain.

01:52And because of this, the museum was able to build this painting.

01:56One of the people who helped with the grant is visual artist Wawi.

02:00In 2009, she studied in New York with the help of the ACC.

02:04It kind of fast-tracked my, how do you call it?

02:09Not only my education, but exposure to the bigger world.

02:13Your auction includes 140 artworks.

02:16Php 100,000 is the cheapest.

02:18And Php 18 million is the most expensive.
