00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. announced the government's proposed service

00:04on the 74th anniversary of the DSWD.

00:08Ken and Patience will tell you more.

00:11On his arrival on the 74th anniversary of the Department of Social Welfare and Development,

00:17President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. insisted that the government will continue to provide services

00:23through new development models that will serve as a blueprint

00:28for the prosperity of the Filipino family.

00:31The President himself was the first to launch the Family in the New Philippines,

00:36which includes programs and services that will provide guidance

00:39in increasing the living standards of DSWD beneficiaries.

00:44Its goal is to introduce programs that not only provide financial assistance,

00:49but also psychosocial interventions, care, and residential facilities

00:53for various sectors of society.

00:56This initiative aims to strengthen family development and welfare in every stage of life,

01:03recognizing that nurturing households are the cornerstone of a thriving nation.

01:08In this program, we will examine the situation of each family

01:13to determine their real needs.

01:17At the same time, we will implement the necessary measures

01:21to ensure that the government provides adequate and timely assistance in their situations.

01:29HELPS, or Harmonized Electronic License and Permit System,

01:34is an online platform for easier registration, accreditation,

01:38and obtaining a license from Social Welfare and Development Agency, or SWDA.

01:44Through this, they will go down to only 12 stages

01:48of their journey from the previous 49.

01:52So if they used to spend 6 months in the process,

01:55it will only last for 7 days.

01:58MTA, or Minors Traveling Abroad Systems, also launched

02:02an online application for minors who want to leave the country.

02:06It aims to ensure the safety and well-being of young Filipinos

02:10who travel to different countries.

02:12These endeavors reflect a government that listens and that responds,

02:17a government that evolves to meet the needs of its people.

02:20Alongside these innovative initiatives,

02:23the Executive Board did not ignore the achievements of the DSWD over the past year,

02:28particularly when the President recognized the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program, or 4PIS,

02:33where he pointed out that only last year,

02:374 million households received assistance from the program.

02:41The President also recognized the Sustainable Livelihood Program of the DSWD,

02:45where more than 270,000 households received assistance.

02:50He also emphasized the agency's rapid response to calamities

02:54through the proper use of its Quick Response Fund.

02:58You have provided not just assistance,

03:01but behind that assistance, you have also provided hope

03:06to families rising from hardship,

03:09to communities devastated by calamities,

03:12to individuals who need to feel that their governor

03:16is there by their side, ready to assist.

03:21Your vision is simple and profound,

03:23to build a resilient, inclusive society where no one is left behind.

03:28Time and again, we have seen how that vision translates into action,

03:34whether in the Swiss distribution of aid after a typhoon,

03:37the consistent support for struggling families,

03:40or the enduring commitment to sectors often overlooked by society.

03:45Again, the President emphasized the importance of the assistance and support of Filipinos

03:50so that the government's programs can be properly implemented,

03:53whose main goal is to improve the quality of life of every Filipino.
