Delta plane flips upside down in Toronto crash, at least 18 injured

A Delta Air Lines jet with 80 people onboard crash landed on Feb. 17, 2025 (local time) at the Toronto airport, officials said, flipping upside down and leaving at least 18 people injured but causing no deaths. 'Airport emergency workers mounted a text book response reaching the site in minutes and quickly evacuating the passengers,' Toronto Pearson President and CEO Deborah Flint said.

00:30Delta Air Lines flight 4819 from Minneapolis to Toronto operated by subsidiary Endeavour Air was involved in a single aircraft accident upon landing at Toronto Pearson.
00:50The plane was carrying four crew and 76 passengers, among them 22 Canadians.
00:57The other passengers were multinational. 17 injured passengers were quickly taken to local area hospitals.
01:05At this time, we do not know of any of those passengers having critical injuries.
01:10First and foremost, there was no loss of life.
01:14And this is in due part to our heroic and trained professionals, our first responders at the airport.
01:21Airport emergency workers mounted a textbook response, reaching the site within minutes and quickly evacuating the passengers.
